Our Napali Coast Snorkel Tour with Kauai Sea Tours on the Imiloa Express, Captain Josh, crew members Aaron & Kai was the highlight of our trip! We appreciated them sharing their knowledge and deep history of the Napali Coast. Our whole family including our 4 year old enjoyed the snorkeling experience and even got to see dolphins! The crew members handle a disgruntled family professionally! We've been on many snorkel tours and this one was by far the best!
What an incredible experience with Kauai Sea Tours today! We spent the day snorkeling along the breathtaking Nā Pali Coast with Captain Greg, Lauren, and their three amazing crew members. Their hospitality was beyond exceptional--truly 200%! Not only did they make sure everyone was safe and comfortable throughout the trip, but they also took the time to get to know each of us personally and captured wonderful photos so we could simply enjoy the moment. We've been on many boat tours throughout Hawaii, including Kauai, but this experience was far beyond our expectations. The vessel felt brand new, the restrooms were spotless, and every detail reflected the pride they take in delivering an exceptional experience. The food was delicious and beautifully served on real glass plates with silverware--not paper plates and plastic utensils. It truly felt like a luxury adventure from start to finish. Between the breathtaking scenery, incredible snorkeling, outstanding service, and genuine aloha spirit, this was an unforgettable day. Mahalo to Captain Greg, Lauren, and the entire crew for creating memories we'll cherish forever. If you're visiting Kauai, I highly recommend this tour. You won't be disappointed!
This was the best part of my birthday! I highly recommend this boat. What a great ride with exceptional staff. The food was delicious! The crew were all friendly and helpful! The sunset was amazing!
This is absolutely a must do activity on Kaua'i. Our entire crew was amazing. You don't even need to get up and move around because they will serve with you anything the whole time. We did the sunset cruise. I was worried the boat would have a bunch of people on it but we were able to sit wherever we wanted the whole time. The food was great, the views were great. The snorkeling was so much fun even though we had really choppy water. Something to note: we had a really windy/choppy day. When they saw Medicate if in doubt, just medicate. I get motion sickness a lot and this boat was a lot for me. I pre-medicated and I wore motion sickness bands, but I wish I had brought more tbh. Nothing against this cruise (it's still a must do) but just a warning to those that get queasy!
Our experience with Kauai Sea Tours with Captain Evan and his crew was absolutely incredible -- easily one of the highlights of our trip! From the moment we boarded, the crew was attentive, fun, and genuinely hilarious, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. They took such great care of us throughout the day, starting with pastries and fresh fruit for breakfast, followed by a build-your-own sandwich lunch (with options like wheat/white bread, turkey, ham, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, greens, mayo, and mustard), plus pasta salad and chips. Everything was simple but perfect for a day out on the water. We started with about 45 minutes of snorkeling, and it was AMAZING. We saw so much marine life -- turtles, huge fish, puffer fish, eels, and more. Truly such a special experience being able to see everything up close. Then came the breathtaking views of the Na Pali Coast, with its dramatic cliffs and beautiful waterfalls -- absolutely stunning. As if that wasn't enough, we also got to sail alongside dolphins and even spotted more than 3 whales, which was so magical! There was also plenty of seating available outside, making it easy to relax and take in all the views. Overall, this tour was unforgettable. Huge shoutout to Captain Evan and his amazing crew for making it such a fun, safe, and memorable experience. Highly, highly recommend!
I can't say enough about Kaua'i Sea Tours. In January 2026 in Kauai the weather is in gods hands. This captain was so amazing as well as every single deck hand. ALL of them were a 10/10. They assisted us "older folks" walking around the boat, were so informative, served an amazing lunch and breakfast. It was a bit choppy but nothing anyone couldn't handle. We saw dolphins, turtles and YES humpbacks were active and plentiful! We did have to reroute due to weather but to be 100% honest I would have not traded that trip experience for anything. Just be in the moment or you might not get the whale breaching and worse miss hearing the magical sound of the blow hole spray. I will be in awe for quite some time. The guests were snorkeling with turtles, all having just the time of their lives Do not miss this trip with the amazing crew who were absolutely huge in making sure we were well taken care of. We appreciate each and every one of you.
We had a magnificent time out on the water with these guys! The trip out to the Na Pali Coast was both safe and fun! We had a chance to marvel at the coast, sail with dolphins, snorkel (saw a reef shark), and enjoyed dinner and the sunset. It was just a fantastic day on the water. They're great with kids too! Everyone was able to fit the available snorkel gear and the boat moored long enough to really enjoy the water and not feel rushed. They even had a safety keeping eyes out for sharks and rip tides.
Hi, I'm sharing my experience on the Lucky Lady catamaran tour booked through the Marriott Beach Club concierge on Kauai--and unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing and honestly felt unsafe. The weather conditions were very rough, with high waves making the ride intense and uncomfortable. Nearly everyone on board was getting sick , including many adults and small children who were crying and clearly distressed. Passengers were completely soaked from the constant spray and rough seas. Although the captain and Sea crew tried to keep the passengers calm. This didn't feel like a safe or enjoyable excursion, especially for families. There should have been better judgment regarding the weather conditions before proceeding with the tour. I would strongly recommend reconsidering booking this excursion in questionable weather, as this experience was far from what we expected.
YOU MUST DO THIS! the raft along the Na Pali Coast with Captain KK and Malu, was one of the most memorable days of my life! this will be the highlight of visiting Hawaii, not just Kauai, but the entire state I felt safe, and that I was with confident crew and captain we got to go inside sea caves, and under waterfalls, and we saw dolphins
It was a beautiful day and a nice power catamaran boat with nice size bathrooms. We booked through the hotel concierge. Departed at 8 am we had a nice breeze and sunny skies, as soon as we cleared the Harbor they found a spot for the snorkeling. I thought it was supposed to be on the Na Pali coast, and that was a big disappointment . They supplied the snorkel but no fins or towels like the one we had previously gone on in Kailua-Kona where they also supplied reef friendly sunscreen. The food was skimpy, breakfast being store bought muffins, pastries sliced into 1 inch sections, spam and tofu sushi--only 1 piece and fresh fruit. My husband was behind me and picked a muffin and pastry and put it on his plate but the staff member told my husband he could only have one or the other and had him put the muffin back. What!! Lunch was steamed rice, salad, and teriyaki chicken which was good but over the watchful eye I only took 1 piece for fear of being humiliated. Trip was nice and scenery was beautiful, the captain that was telling you the story was really good when you could hear it, but the sound system was very bad and we couldn't hear most of it. We went on the Body Glove at Kailua Kona and they know how to do it right I would recommend them going over there taking a ride to see how it's done .........this one was $80 per person more as well... Would I go again?....no would I recommend this one ? Maybe, but I would look at the other tours first. Erin was the best thing on the trip! She was watchful and helping people get around on the boat, quick with helping people drink wise as well as taking photos. The captain Greg was also quick to slow down for us to do some whale watching which we enjoyed quite a bit. There was another guy that was very nice and helpful but the food guy was loud and overbearing.
I am half Hawaiian born and raised...everyone who lives here should do this! I treated myself and my girlfriend to a birthday cruise with Kauai Sea Tours on the 'Imiloa (a very fast boat) and it was well above our expectations! Captain Paul and his 2 man crew; Kaiale and Ilikai were professional, helpful and friendly throughout the day-always maintaining safety while making sure everyone had an enjoyable and memorable trip. Captain Paul's expertise in getting us into the caves and under a waterfall were outstanding! We had a beautiful day and will surely do it again
Capt Kauai, Capt Dawn, Lauren and Liz are FANTASTIC! Super high energy, caring, knowledgeable, and deeply dedicated to making sure we had a great time. My husband and I spent most of the catamaran trip on the bow pulpit while other guests were hiding from the rain and rough seas inside. We had a BLAST riding the swells, and the crew knew us by name making it extra special. The views of the Na Pali Coast were unforgettable, and the crew offered numerous times to take photos for us. We saw dolphins, stopped for a few pods of whales (but no "whale-waiting" haha) and had some super close-up views of majestic Hawaiian landmarks. Capt Kauai told tons of stories - legends and "science" - and entertained us with humor and acrobatics. This was one of the highlights of our trip despite the snorkeling not being the best (but I did see a seal!). My husband had plenty to eat and he eats quite a bit. I didn't eat since boats and food don't sit well with my stomach. The pep talk Capt Kauai gave at the beginning about not getting seasick made all the difference for me! Drinks were served as well, which I'm sure would have been more appreciated on a warm, summer, calm-seas kind of day. I don't think anyone was drinking the day we went. Again, so impressed by the crew who cared so well for all the people who were seasick that day. I couldn't believe how many people didn't handle the waves well. We were there in the winter so we kind of knew what to expect. So glad we did it anyway! Thanks again to Capt Kauai and crew! I highly recommend them. Seriously, they were the best!

This was the best day ever! What a great crew from Captain Amber, her super crew Matt, Dawn, and Kelly. They took such good care of everyone on board the ship Lady Luck, Matt seemed to be everywhere helping folks navigate the deck in rough waters. The food was acceptable we had two turkey wraps, and the ladies had salads. We took the early morning snorkeling tour which allowed us to view the Na Pali coast going and coming. They do have afternoon sailings for those who want to see the sunset and return to port in the evening. read more

The perfect morning adventure....traversing the ocean on a zodiac. We sped across the waters with music playing dolphins jumping, turtles swimming and monk seals sunning. * When we rounded the corner from Polihale to the Nāpali Coast...the music changed. The most beautiful and ethereal song in Hawaiian came on, tears swelled up in my eyes. Such a presence. * Ian our extremely talented boat captain wove in the history of the land, sharing stories that gave each place we explored life and meaning. His awareness of the waterfalls and their meanings, the traditions that once existed and the reverence for them was deeply moving and respected. * We spend the afternoon on a beautiful beach landing Mercedes ensuring everyone was cared for from food water to cookies.... Really really great tour... The snorkeling was first class and the captain and all the other folks that were assisting him were amazing... And you may be saying to yourself, why did I not get five stars... The only reason would be that I think that $200 per person is a little excessive. The boat was pretty full but it never felt crowded... I would highly, highly recommend this tour. And they love looking for Dolphins, Sea Turtles and whales (we saw all three and then some) read more

JR and Matt make Kauai Sea Tours the must do adventure tour on Kauai! JR's boat handing skills and easy going ways make him the right person to be your Na'Pali coast guide. Matt complements JR providing direction to keep everyone safe, informed about Kauai's past and everything you see, as well as being the phone photo guru for anyone willing to let him. Dolphins, turtles, sharks, caves, waterfalls, cliffs, history lessons, the sun, the sea, and beautiful Kauai and that was just while cruising the coast. Lunch wraps were excellent (with chips and ice cold beverages), the setting was even better. Learning about our collective past is always good; Matt and JR make interesting and their passion is very evident! The snorkeling was also outstanding with lots of fish along the reef and a couple of sea turtles that blessed us with their presence. JR demonstrated exceptional knowledge of the sea, wind, and waves throughout the trip and both JR and Matt made it memorable!! We had one couple who were on their second trip, and we will do it again when we're back on Kauai. I had so much fun and learned so much. Worth every penny and every minute. Parking is easy - read the directions in your email to park in the right spot.Our check in time was 6:40am and the doors opened at 6:30am. They provide dry bags to put your stuff in - including your cameras and phone that you can keep with you to access for pictures as needed. read more

We absolutely loved our Na Pali raft and snorkel tour! Ian was absolutely amazing and we enjoyed every second of the tour! It was quite a bit bumpy and we are sore from holding on the day after, but we could not recommend this tour more! If we ever come back, we will be doing this again and requesting Ian! read more

Omg better than we imagined!!! We had Captain Drake and Landon as our guides and they were phenomenal! High energy super friendly and helpful ! They made the trip sooo much fun! Captain Drakes playlist was even perfect for the trip that made it even more unforgettable!! While we were bouncing through the waves he was playing wipe out LOL definitely worth checking out andddd I'm a crazy budgeter and was iffy about paying so much but I would pay it again in a heartbeat! read more

My husband & I did the six hour raft adventure with the am departure. We had done one on the big island last year & I like to sit in the back (less bumpy) & the crew had no trouble placing everyone with their preferences! We had three captains on this trip & they all made sure we were comfortable, felt safe & informed. We saw incredible views of the Napoli coast, ones I'm 100% certain we would've missed on our own while visiting had we not done this tour. Incredibly beautiful waters, clear visibility while snorkeling & lots of dolphins! We were served lunch with plenty of snacks & drinks. My husband cut himself on the ladder coming up from snorkeling & the crew was great with providing first aid items. We were both in awe of how the captain, Ren (I believe), was driving the boat through pretty choppy waters and caves, very impressive & skilled!! Overall we had a great time with lots of fun! Only downside was about 25 min of snorkeling but we definitely enjoyed the whole trip!! read more

WOW!! Amazing tour from the lovely people at Kauai Sea Tours and so much history that we learned in the time we were out at sea with Captain Sky and his crew of two. They provided a great breakfast and lunch menu which was filling enough for our party of two and the Mai Tai drink was delish!! We were lucky enough to see Bottlenose Dolphins and Spinner Dolphins as well which made the tour fantastic. This tour of the Na Pali Coast is a must do and we highly recommend Kauai Sea Tours for your tour needs since it is run by a local family. There are several different vessels you can choose from and they play awesome music as well to enjoy your time onboard. Choose them for your next Kauai adventure read more

Obviously this is not for everyone so if you have never been on a boat before I suggest you take some motion sickness pills 1 hour before going and probably more during and avoid drinking alcohol. Other than that it's a must do if you're on Kauai. The main attraction of this tour is not the appetizers or the dinner or the snorkeling but the only way to see the Napali Coast is by boat or air so sea sick peeps go take a helicopter tour. Our crew Evan, Colin, Cam and last but not the least Manny. The captain was very entertaining and informative about the areas we were passing and did I mention funny, got jokes! He played a good variety of music including the theme song for Jaws, lol! Manny was the man, he was very attentive to everyone on the back of the boat asking everyone if they need anything constantly. We didn't have much interaction with the other crew member because they was busy taking care of other guest in front of the boat and upper deck. The snorkeling was ok, there was scools of fish including the state fish humhumnukuapua. But remember it's the panoramic Napali Coast line that will blow your mind as we head back. This is when they start serving alcoholic beverage and dinner. There were maybe a handful of people who got sick, honestly I was a bit nauseous cuz I ate too much. Overall it was well worth it and the crew did everything possible to make it a enjoyable tour, I will be back again with friends on this tour. Mahalo bradas! read more
Absolutely worth every Penny Me and my husband were just in Kauai and this was the top on my list and I was not let down at all! The captain and crew were so great ! Captain shaked and Noah were awesome to hangout with for 6 hours ! We did the Raft Adventure which we did more than just sight see on a boat. We stopped at a beach and snorkeled, we went into a few caves with clear blue water, and we even had lunch out in the middle of the ocean! We booked on such late notice since the whole trip was last minute and they were so accommodating and the process over the phone and getting to their office was so easy. I recommend booking the earliest trip even if you have to get up early. I am so glad we did !! We got to see so many spinner dolphins Tips : Don't bring a hat if it doesn't adjust to fit extra tight on your head, bring sunscreen along, and don't forget to buy case to bring your phone into the water I could've got a picture with us swimming with the turtle ! read more

You gotta go on this Zodiak tour of the Napali Coast. Capt. Sky and first mate Isaac were fun and knowledgeable. It is not a ride for the faint of heart, though. You gotta hang on and enjoy the ride. The ride out is fast and each of the stops were beautiful. The coast seems remote and untouched which makes it all the more majestic. Even though there are multiple tours that swing through this area, you don't feel crowded. I get a sense that the captains all respect each other's tours. Sweep into a cave, check out the spinner dolphins (not as likely a view in the afternoon trips, but we got lucky), and swim with the fish on the reef. Turtles popped their heads out for a little hello. You see everything on this tour. It is a must do for those visiting the island. read more

Best experience on water while vacationing on Kauai. Money well spent. Captain "Kauai", Kai, Keemo, and all the other crew on our tour were amazing. Knowledgeable, funny, respectful, approachable, kind, and very professional. Rita and all the office staff got us thru check-in quickly and without confusion. I highly recommend Kauai Sea Tours to anyone visiting the island who appreciates quality fun on the water. The Napali Coast was spectacular. Captan Kauai brought it to life with the history of his people on the Napali Coast and their respect of land and sea. 6+star rating. read more

Honestly... five stars is not enough. This company and and the crew I got the chance to experience were just impeccable. Let me put it this way, I don't use Yelp to post reviews... that's how compelled I was to share my thoughts. Now before I go any further it's important for anyone to note that, Kauai waters are extremely challenging and that even on the calmest times things can still be choppy, but the magic of this is there are days where everything aligns, and you get a truly mesmerizing experience. With that being said if you're someone who gets sea sick it will be a challenge even if this crew does everything in their power to accommodate you! As someone who lives on the island we had a chance for a bunch of us locals to get together and go out and secure our own adventure boat ride so most of us were rather familiar with how things go, we got the honors of being led by Captain Amber and her crew today were Matt, Heather, and Josh. From the very start they created a great atmosphere and you could see they truly cared to do so. Before we even completely left the harbor they had already begun to offer refreshments and introducing themselves on a more intimate level rather than having a generic personality like you'll find in other places. I work in the Hospitality industry and have done so for over 10 years and this crew truly embodied hospitality, they were beyond attentive in every way with such a professional matter always checking in with us and making sure we were doing ok and always had a full drink in hand or whatever else we needed! But they also gave everyone such a familiar feeling and a compassionate experience, taking the time to have conversations and talking story along with some great educational knowledge. Now I'm sure us being local and not tourist may have made things easier for them but that doesn't negate that you could see how invested they were in giving anyone who stepped on their boat a truly incredible experience. As for cost, I didn't feel robbed of any sorts I feel like I got more than my money's worth and tipping this team was a no brainer. the food was great they even gave out dessert! The snorkeling was nice and we were even blessed with the presence of some jumping whales in the distance. I can't thank you guys enough and I will definitely be coming back anytime I have friends or family visiting. I HIGHLY recommend checking these folks out! read more

The crew of the Lucky Lady were fabulous. Amber, the captain, and her crew of Dawn, Rick, and "Coma", were the best crew we every had on an excursion on Kauai. Sailing along the NaPali coast, Amber shared the local lore and legends, while the crew kept us well hydrated and entertained. All sorts of beverages were available and the dinner served on board was excellent. A surprise while heading out was an encounter with a Dolphin pod which joined us for about 30 minutes. Truly a highlight of our anniversary trip to the island. read more

We did the rafting excursion on the Na'pali Coast. The experience was out of this world. I've never seen such breathtaking views! The whole things is like a dream. The crew Captain Drake and Gabe go over and beyond to make the trip fun and enjoyable. They have stories along the way to entertain you and give you information of the island. I highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Kauai! It's a must do! read more

Excellent cruise. We booked through hotel and it couldn't have been better. We had an amazing time. Captain Kauai and his crew were fantastic. The Captain did an excellent job of keeping us informed as to what we were seeing as well as the history and legends of the specific areas. The crew was constantly checking on us, ensuring we had what we needed to have a great trip. Tge views were outstanding, and the sunset was spectacular. The selection of drinks were right on, definitely try the Mia Tias. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone. Captain Kauai is outstanding read more

This tour made our entire trip. Worth every penny. Captain Kauai and his crew were so welcoming and kind. We loved hearing the history of the island along with the beauty of the coast. Snorkeling was fun. We saw turtles and dolphins. Waterfalls and caves. Such a blast. We will remember this forever. So grateful for this experience. Which of the tour/boat options are best for toddlers and which would you be least likely to get seasick?
Mother Nature is in charge of the wind, waves, and weather. If you are prone to sea sickness, I would not recommend a catamaran tour of the Na Pali Coast. Try a calmer area like Waikiki off Oahu.
Does this tour have a beach landing on the Napali coast? How long do you get to stay on the beach? Which Napali Coast boat tour lands on the beach and lets you walk around on the beach + snorkel?
The catamaran does not but the zodiac boat tour does
