He refused to eat and seemed to be having what I feared was an irregular heartbeat episode. I called the clinic, knowing they were closed, and was advised to take him to the nearest emergency hospital. I was scared and unsure of what to do next. Then something happened that I will never forget. I received a call from Dr. Forbes. She wanted to know what was going on with Chipper. Without hesitation, she chose to put her personal plans aside to come in and care for him. She told me to head to the clinic and check in online. She even said she was in her pajamas but would be there in about ten minutes to meet us. In that moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of relief. Knowing that Chipper would be seen by Dr. Forbes, someone who truly understands his condition, gave me hope when I needed it most. When we arrived, Dr. Forbes, along with Becky and another nurse, welcomed us with such kindness and compassion. They treated Chipper with so much care and treated me with the same level of empathy and understanding. You could feel how much they genuinely care, not just about the animals, but about the families who love them. Compassionate Care has always been wonderful to us, but this experience went far beyond anything I could have expected. The level of dedication, empathy, and selflessness shown by Dr. Forbes and her team means more to me than I can fully put into words. I truly believe that if it were not for Dr. Forbes and her incredible staff, this could have been a very different outcome. I am beyond grateful for everything you did for Chipper and for me.
