10000% recommend! Ileen was amazing. I told her I wanted my brows thinner (for context I know nothing about brows and still learning). Instead of just doing it, she asked me why I wanted my brows thinner. When I told her why, she took the extra time to pencil in what my brows would look like if she did that and why it wouldn't look the greatest. She then said if I still wanted it that way; she would totally do it, but she wanted me to be fully informed first before she took hair off that she could not put back on. She then took extra time to pencil out the starting and ending points I should use when I fill in my eyebrows when doing my makeup, etc. I decided against the eyebrows thinning and she helped me understand my eyebrows and how to make them the way I like them. I've always been unhappy with my eyebrows because no one has ever taken this extra time to go through these steps with me and answer the questions I have had. I usually don't leave reviews but the customer service was amazing. The young lady that helped me with my eyebrows was super nice. I came in looking for eyebrow tinting. Found this place closer to where I live instead of going to into sac. But I was very disappointed. I left with paying $60 plus $5 tip. To have the tint come off the next morning and have a gritty texture to my brows. The usual place I go to is $20 in total for the same treatment and it last way longer. This was super unfortunate. I do not encourage anyone looking for eyelash extensions to come to this establishment. The salon was dirty, the bathroom was disgusting, and the owner is practicing without an esthetician/cosmetology license. About 3 weeks ago I treated myself to eyelash extensions and upon arrival, the salon was in disarray, the owner, Ileen, explained that they were remodeling. When I asked to use the restroom before my appointment, I found the toilet to be super dirty, someone's toothbrush was on the counter and there wasn't any towels to dry my hands. During my appointment, I expressed discomfort with the glue and extensions only to be told by Ileen that 'beauty is pain' and there weren't any steps made towards making me feel more comfortable. About halfway through my appointment, another woman walks in and Ileen takes a break from working on me to start processing the other client for a lash lift. Who stops mid appointment to see another client? I also must add, I did not see Ileen sanitize or wash her hands before touching the other client. Hindsight, I should've left then but I only had one eye done and had a very important conference to get to the next day leaving me no time to get my lashes fixed, so I stayed. During my session Ileen had an AirPod in her ear the whole time and answered multiple phone calls and even a FaceTime while working on me. I also found out she was even logged into an online class for Paul Mitchell! So, not only does Ileen not have her license to be practicing these procedures on clients, but she's actually still in school at Paul Mitchel and hasn't graduated yet. After my second eye was completed, I had so much discomfort from the glue, the extensions were extremely uncomfortable and I had irritation from the tape used to hold down my bottom lashes. I've never felt so much discomfort on getting lashes done. I also had asked for a natural look but received quite the opposite. To fix this, she took scissors and trimmed and thinned the extensions down, causing little sliver trimmings to go into my eyes and cause even more discomfort. After 3+ hours I left with an awful job done, a chemical burn to both eye balls that lasted for 4-5 days, my eyes were swollen and sensitive to light, as well as a rash from the tape that caused the skin around my eyes to be so sensitive it felt bruised. I later had the extensions removed from another esthetician who told me that the lashes themselves were put on incorrectly, it's no wonder they were uncomfortable. I had contacted Ileen the day after my initial appointment for a refund which she promised but still has never issued. At this point it's not about the money spent, it's about the professionalism and integrity of the business, and more importantly, the safety of future clients. Save yourself the pain and awful experience and go somewhere else that's clean, knowledgeable and licensed. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. I have veryyyyy thick eyebrows and lots of hair, and I got absolutely botched. My whole tail on one side got taken off and got told it's because I don't have much hair. Which I beg to differ I have a lot of it. i have gotten my eyebrows threaded at countless threading shops. And I never had such a bad job. I was so upset I started to cry at the end of it, I was going to pay for it and she started to give me attitude because she felt bad. I understand it's a very awkward situation to be in assuming if she attempted todo a good job. But, Decent customer service overall but this places doesn't know how todo eyebrows. Booking appointments can be easily done on the business website. --------------- I browse local "Hot and New" listings from time to time and this place quickly caught my interest based on the raving reviews here. Not gonna lie, I was initially a bit suspish as most of the reviews are from people who have written less than 10 reviews (I mean, I'm all for people starting up on Yelping and I don't intend to discredit their reviews, but with so many of these people praising a brand new business within a small time span......? Idk man.). Anyway, my eyebrows have been going haywire for quite some time so I decided to check this place out. Disclaimer: I'm the least pickiest person when it comes to my eyebrow shape; at threading places I pretty much tell the person to shape my eyebrows as they see fit haha it's more on being curious on how the person approaches my eyebrows than just being indecisive on choosing a shape. The lady who did my brows here, Madina, who also happens to be the owner of the place, gave me the most clean-cut, natural-looking brows I've ever had; people who have done threading on me tend to over-pluck assuming that I would just use eyebrow gel/pomade, but in a way Madina embraced my current brow hairs while collectively putting them in a shape that made sense. Madina overall is a very sweet person and based on how she treated me during the whole threading process, I can tell that she genuinely cares for her clients; it was easy to strike up conversation with her while she was threading (that's how I found out about her inspiring story of wanting to create her own threading studio after working at Beauty By Thread for many years), usually I tear up during the threading but not this time at all, and when she added complimentary cooling gel on my brows she also gave me a little head massage, which felt really nice. Studio looks great. Clean and modern. Everything looks brand new. Can easily tell that she put a lot of thought on the aesthetics. $10 for brows, which I think is a steal (ashamed to say that I paid $20 at another place that did an alright job). She has a points rewards program to help maintain a client pool. So, yes, I definitely am a firm believer of the hype now. Check this place out if you're in the need of threading! Sahar completely botched my eyebrows it was entirely a joke. They were 2 different sizes and shapes and she completely thinned out my right eyebrow while leaving the left one thicker.
