My favorite spot ever! I first visited in 2021, and since my family lives in Florida, I make sure to spend every night at this place whenever I'm there. It's such a super cool spot, open 24/7! Everyone there is really nice, especially the staff--they're super friendly and welcoming. The place is so comfy and relaxing. If you came to yelp to decide, go and find out for yourself that it's a great place with great people and drinks are on point. (Just don't go in drunk and you won't get kicked out. Horrible customer service. Felt disrespected by the bartender. While trying to watch (literally) the last :30 seconds, of the Super Bowl, the "bartender" said that anyone at the bar has to order a drink every hour. I had ordered a drink when I first arrived, no less than 30 minutes prior, I explained I had been out on the patio and that I would order another drink in a minute, I just want to watch the end of the game first; and then figure out what I want. I had never been to a Kava Cafe before and I already ordered a double Kava and didn't know what else I wanted. He became irate and told me I had to leave. I asked to speak to a manager and he brought up someone that looked like the youngest person in the bar. I'm in the industry i I new he wasn't the manager. I asked him if he ever built a schedule before and he said "no." So then I asked, " to speak to a real manager:" at which point the bartender said they are both managers, and then they both crossed their arms and stood directly in front of me while stepping forward. At this point I just wanted to de-escalate the situation and get home safe so I walked out. The real manager was outside and tried to rectify the situation but at that point I felt too disrespected. I love this place! I found this place about 3 months ago after checking out the two other Kava Bars in the area and this place is the best . The vibe starts off as soon as you walk in the door and treated by the best Kava tenders. I've brought in newbies and they take the time to explain what Kava and Kratom is. I've been here all different hours of the day and it's always great to feel like I'm home. The atmosphere is very chill . You can hang inside in the air conditioning in any of the many seating areas or go outside and sit under their gigantic cool ass tiki hut. Every night of the week they have something going on from Open mic, trivia to massages and so much more. Terrible customer service. I have been a loyal online order placer for months, until recently time after time my orders get cancelled. No call, no notice or explanation. I assume they are busy so I wait a while to put in another order, I wait 1hr+ expecting the order to be worked on, to find that once again cancelled no notice no call no explanation. This has happened at least six separation occasions. So glad I found Adobe Graffiti Lounge not far away. Much better kava and Kratom with an even better customer experience. Such an amazing atmosphere here!!! The people are so nice, it is open and welcoming. Definitely having both the tropical, Florida party outdoor space and the comfy, chill relaxing vibe inside, it is definitely the go-to hang out spot for adults 18-30. It is legal for adults 18+ to drink the Kratom and Kava drinks they serve, and they are a no alcohol no drug environment. I love that they are also open 24/7 and serve both their caffeinated beverages and their more down time beverages any time of the day. People that work night shifts, THIS IS YOUR PLACE! The only down side I would give out of all the comfy, chill, and glam the bar gives, they could improve in how fast they can get their customers drinks. There could be a line of 10-15 people, plus people sitting at the bar on a busy night but they only have one bartender on hand. During the peek moments, the bar needs to have enough staff on hand to handle the heavy crowd. My daughter has told me about kava and botanical teas for a while and I decided to check it out by myself because she's always working. I stopped by this new place on my way home from work called Kava Social Club over on 6th avenue in Bradenton I spoke to the owners Sarah and Bodie and they were very very knowledgeable and nice and told me all about the teas that they serve so I tried something called a Tropic Wave and it was absolutely delicious it was a botanical tea mix and then I tried, what they called Kava in a shell and we got to toast by saying BULA! That was fun. I am in my sixties and we got to talking about some aches and pains that I have and to my amazement these delicious teas actually soothed my pain. my husband is disabled and in a great deal of pain everyday so I brought some of this tropic wave home to him and he almost cried because of how it eased his pain that he is in every day. On top of everything else it's absolutely adorable it has a Hawaiian theme and there is a big giant tiki hut outside where adults can play games and listen to music and be social and it is very very nice. I definitely recommend this place for everyone who wants to come and have a very nice time but especially for people my age who want to get a little relief from their aches and pains. read more

Ive been using kratom for pain relief and sociability for awhile now. As someone who studies pharmacology including botanical alkaloids, I'm very familiar with kratom at a chemical level. I've been to a lot of different kava bars, some that i found cool and chill and some that have been utterly atrocious with a mindset of greed and ripping off innocent customers. But kava social is on a whole different league in comparison. I don't really know anyone more knowledgeable than myself but they are the closest to that with a very in-depth understanding of the ethnobotanicals and their alkaloid profiles. The majority of the drinks are very fairly priced compared to most of the other kava bars and their drinks are some of the most effective I have had. They know how to properly prepare and brew the teas and how to pair them with other botanical teas to achieve a synergistic effect increasing the benefits and providing stronger relief. The owner Bodie is super friendly and educated on the products that he sells which is respectable and reassuring when purchasing the beverages, and he's picked a great staff who all have prior kratom experience or knowledge to. Casey and James are both great kavatenders and cool guys who I talk with most times I'm there. Elena is another kava tender who knows her stuff and she's very sweet and cares for her customers. All of the staff are very welcoming to new people and strive to provide a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for anyone to enjoy. read more
