Unprofessional company, poor quality plants, poor quality customer service. Weeds in plants, plants smell like chemicals.

I spoke with a friend about our experiences at Johnson's, and we both agreed, it feels like walking into an old western saloon where everyone knows "you ain't from around these parts!" I was looking to buy a magnolia, but wanted to know what the differences were, which is better for our environment, so I approached an employee who tried to avoid eye contact with me until he could do it no longer. He started stammering when I asked if he knew anything about the trees I had considered contenders. He fumbled with his walky-talky to try to find someone else to help me, but spotted (who I found out later was the manager) watering plants in the vicinity. He asked her if she could help and she replied rudely with "WHAT?" as she clearly saw me (the customer) asking a question. He stammered nervously and she followed up with "What do you want?" I jumped in and asked my questions about which is best and she said, "They're all pretty much the same." I asked if any were better for our climate/environment and she said with an attitude, "We don't sell anything that doesn't grow around here." She then curtly turned away and went on with watering the plants. I did not feel copacetic with her "customer service," so I bought my tree and decided not to go back. I would rather go to an establishment with less selection, but better service. Also, the prices are on the higher side for some things, but reasonable for others, it just depends on what it is. Either way, Home Depot works for me from now on, and if they don't have what I want, I'll research somewhere other than Johnson's. It's a shame, too, because the place is like walking through a botanical garden, only the vibe given by the staff is that "it ain't big enough for the both of us!"

Beautiful quality, incredibly healthy, already nearly taller than the established shrubs, and very reasonably priced at $129. They helped load it, answered questions, and made the whole process easy. All I have left to do is widen the hole I already dug. You can see a dip in the existing row from an earlier Photinia replacement several years ago from Costco. Love Costco but sometimes you don't want to wait. Thanks Chris!

I have been managing a nursery department in a local hardware store for seven years now and have dealt with various suppliers to meet the needs of my customers. This is our first year of using Cal Color and I am absolutely amazed of the quality of the plants coming to our store. The smaller six pack plants have a larger root base and the plants are so much healthier and crisp. The foliage is large and green, blooms healthy and they sell through very fast. When suppliers use the smaller base the roots dry out quicker in hot weather or drown from over zealous watering. Cal Colors plants look as healthy a few days after delivery if not sold. And I must say, they sell very fast. Not only is the quality the best I have ever seen, so is the service. We are given the same level of service even though we are a community hardware store and not a "big box" client. Recently another supplier that we have used for many years completely ran out of vegetables even though I put an order in early. I was notified days after that there would be no vegetables that week. I called Cal Color and doubled the order. We received everything we requested before the busy weekend. I see a long and happy business relationship with this company. Thanks again!

I definitely recommend this nursery to anyone who wants long lasting flowers in their gardens. I have to say that one December I bought a poinsettia and it lasted apprx 8 months or longer.

I'm not much of a craft person, but I was super psyched about Christmas decor. I got pretty much everything from Hobby Lobby and it all came together so perfectly. Check out my photos. They always have seasonal stuff and it's new, trendy, unique and beyond gorgeous. I love this store so much! The prices are great too, they have a sale often, gotta look out for those savings cuz it's makes it all the more worth it. I've been there a million times and have never been disappointed. Well, except the time they ran out of stuff right before Christmas especially the garlands, those are the first to go. I highly recommend Hobby Lobby for any of your decor needs or just for fun even! They also have long lines sometimes, that's something to keep in mind as well.
