Oh. My. GOSH. What started as a casual Thursday walk-in at Kay Jewelers to "just fill our right hands" (ring finger) turned into a full-on shopping spree! Thanks to Keiko's patient, warm, and down-to-earth service, my wife and I browsed the whole store trying on everything her heart desired. Gold chains, rings, earrings - you name it. Meanwhile, I came in with my online pick ready to go (I like to be prepared lol). What began as a "simple" spontaneous idea turned into a 4-carat STUNNING engagement ring replacement. Haha THANKS BABE!! Celebrating 5 years married at Kay Jewelers wasn't exactly on my original wishlist (we usually do dinner), but I'm SO glad I locked eyes with this GORGEOUS piece!! **insert crying emoji** - and HELLO! It was 40% off!!!! Even better! Shopping with Keiko made the entire experience fun and comfortable. She matched our humor, wasn't uptight, wasn't pushy - just genuinely helpful and real. Exactly the kind of person you want assisting you during a special purchase. We walked out buying three pieces: - A new engagement ring - An anniversary ring - A men's studded ring ALL. SO. GORGEOUS! Resizing was needed for all pieces, and everything is expected to return within 2 weeks. So awesome. We also added Kay's lifetime protection/guarantee, which means our stones are covered (chips, breaks, replacements, issues with setting), as well as lifetime resizing on the bands. We're required to bring them in every 6 months for inspection and cleaning, and Keiko said I can even bring my other pieces for cleaning even tho we didn't purchase them there. Cool! Note: this added coverage isn't the same as full loss/theft insurance, but for what we need it's a great value, plus we also have our Homeowners policy. Another positive was the magnified photos of the diamonds & serial numbers. All rings also came with the certificate of authenticity - digital copies have been emailed for safe keeping, along with the physical cards. Loved this! Big, BIG thanks to Keiko and the Kay Jewelers team at Ka Makana Ali'i. You turned our spontaneous stop into a truly memorable celebration for our 5-year anniversary. Walked around to kill some time a few weeks ago. Worker was very judgmental about how people looks when they come in and browse. Worker looked to the door while I walked in. I walked in, wearing my leggings and Tshirt. (Was waiting around to watch a movie and it's best that I'm comfy ). No "Hi!" No nothing. Waited to flag a worker just to get a price on something. Update: I'm just gonna leave this photo here to explain my rating... After going back to get my daughters right ear repierced, it came out crooked AGAIN. I didn't notice it until I went home that night to clean it. Of course, only a recovering perfectionist like myself would notice the two ears not looking identical. But even husband said it's also lower than her right ear. I really gave the piercer the benefit of the doubt the first time. But when we went back, it seemed very rushed like she just wanted to get it over with. At the end of the day, it is what it is and I'm not gonna put my daughter through that again. I'm conclusion, I would not recommend this place for piercings. They have beautiful jewelry pieces, but steer clear from the piercing gun. read more

When I bought my ring the guy who helped me out was awesome... but I had my heart set on another ring from another store it was bigger and cost less than the one from Kay's.... I bought it 2 days ago... So my husband took it in to return and right now I can't return cause the store don't have the money we can try the other stores... or keep calling to check when they can refund us... and they don't know when that will be... the ring wasn't even a expensive one it's under $500... I came in here to do a return for an item my mother bought me at another location. The guy who helped me was Jesse. He was awesome. You would think that you would only receive superior customer service when you are spending some dough there, but that was not the case here. He did ask me if I wanted to exchange the item for something else in the store, and I briefly looked but wasn't interested. He didn't push me into a sale and was actually excited to get the piece into his store as he didn't have anything like it yet. I recently visited this location to get educated about a piece of jewelry and how much it's possibly worth. There were three workers closing that night sitting and talking story. The one lady working straight up said "it's not worth anything!"... SERIOUSLY!? On top of that, she was bragging about a client that wants to purchase a 3 carat. *eye roll* The other two men working were semi-helpful, but still not personable. I work in sales... and these people brag about their customers, give the "side-eye, you don't have money" look based on how you're dressed, etc. Never returning to this location. I'm very thankful to Kay's for immediately greeting me and taking the time to really learn about what I was in the market for (diamond studs). The sales associate took the time to pull out multiple diamond options, explaining their cuts and clarity as he went. I was very undecided and he took the initiative to also explain the cost differences, which I was equally thankful for. He also explained the current sales and financing options. My main request was for the earrings to have screw-backs to ensure I could not lose them, but Kay's only has screw-backs starting at 1 carat, and I was in the market for 1/2 - 3/4 carats. He immediately offered to have the earrings worked on, so screw-backs could be added to any studs with posts. Perfect! That truly allowed me to get exactly what I wanted. My husband got my beautiful custom wedding ring set from here. I turned it in to get resized a little smaller right before the pandemic started. With the shops closing I have not seen my ring in months. Yet as soon as they were up and operating I was in contact with one of the workers Adam. He has been so helpful and reassuring through the whole process. Especially because once I did finally get my ring back, it was too small... So I then needed to turn it back in to get resized for the second time. I am so eager to get my rings back next week and have them actually fit me! So I went into the store in an attempt to get my gf's ring cleaned and inspected. There was only one other person in the store and then 2 workers. Nobody acknowledged us when we enter. The one guy in the back finally came out from the side and said "hi" only because he was helping the other man that was in the store. There was a blonde woman working on the register on the front of the store. We were literally in the store for maybe 15-20 minutes. She did not acknowledge my girlfriend or I at all! The whole time we were there. Talk about f'n rude. If you expect people to buy your merchandise why don't you at least show them some respect and acknowledge them. Stood in front of a case that had a cat pendant that I wanted to buy. 3 workers. 1 helping another customer. A lady was standing in front of me doing something on the register. I didn't want to interrupt her so figured she would help me when she was done. Not one of them acknowledged me when I walked in or as I stood in front of that case for a few minutes. Brought my promise ring in to get resized because my ring was bought with the warranty. When you get a ring resized or turned in, they give you a promise date on when it will be ready, and if it's not ready by the date, they will call to let you know. My promise date was May 15, and nobody called me then. So I called on May 16, and they said the store didn't ship out the ring! The man over the phone told me that he would call me as soon as the ring gets shipped out. I was already very upset because I wanted to wear that ring for a special occasion on May 17. So anyways, nobody called me. I called them today (May 18), and they told me my ring only got shipped out yesterday! I'm not even sure why they're taking so long just to resize a ring. Even the employees were confused because supposedly the shop is "really good" with sticking to the promise dates. Why didn't anybody call me? The woman over the phone read me back my number and it was INCORRECT! Not exactly sure how that's possible because when I called on May 16, the man over the phone told me he had an incorrect number as well, so I gave him the correct number and he read it back to me to ensure it was correct, so I'm not sure how they still had an incorrect number. Horrible communication skills with their customers. Next time I'll be sure to tell my boyfriend to go to Zales or something. read more

Of negative stars were an option, This store lacks on customer care! They had 3 chances to fix my ring that had a lifetime repair warranty. This was a ring that my auntie had purchased years ago for her, myself and my daughter. So the three of us could always have a matching ring. After a few years of wear, the ring broke where it was sized. I took it to Kay @ Kamakana and they RUINED my ring. They fixed the break but bent the entire rest of the ring. They sent it out again and it didn't even look like they did anything. Once again they sent it out. The entire time my ring size was a 7.75. This time when they finally ordered me a new ring, then sent out for sizing, they return to me a 7.5! IT DOESN'T FIT. Now they are trying to say it's my fault, I told them a 7.5??? I didn't even know my ring size. They had to measure my finger and the ring I originally gave to them to repair to know what size i was, I literally had NO IDEA!?!? This is the worst service ever. Now I have a family ring that I cant even wear. I am disgusted and livid with this lack of knowledge and customer service. read more

I turned in my Neil Lane bridal set to get one prong fixed. Got it back tonight and they changed my setting! It's trashed now! Neil Lane doesn't use bulky settings!!!! It HAD two prongs on each corner of the center diamond. Neil Lane specializes in minimal settings to make it a more beautiful appearance. I get it back and it's now one bulky prong on each corner with the setting under the diamond bulky now. Makes the diamond look shadowy and black instead of brilliant. The whole setting is now ruined and ugly!!!!! Doesn't even feel like the same weight! I can't even wear it because it's not MY ring! It's not the set I fell in love with! read more

We took my engagement ring in to repair the setting. The concerned staff recommended a stronger setting for the heart shaped diamond as the three prong setting was not designed for this cut shape. We expected the cost to be higher than it was. The turnaround time was faster than expected. The final product looks wonderful. Very courteous team.
