Shopping in Kapolei, O'ahu, Hawai'i... Strolling through Ka Makana Ali'i (shopping mall), I noticed No'eau Designers... Curious, I entered the spacious, bright, well air-conditioned, tidy shop. I saw clothing by Kini Zamora... he is a designer from Hawaii that was on Project Runway. I thought: i wonder if I can get an outfit? The dresses that I liked weren't in my size... hmmm... I'll look again later... There were some funny stickers... they were sold out. I almost got a cute Power Puff Girl sticker... and Kawaii Supaerman sticker... LOL! I liked the tote bags, stationary, accessories like costume jewelry, local fragrances, Hawaiian themed t-shirts, pet supplies, etc. A worker asked if I needed help because I was going back and forth. I told him that there's so many things to look at... I wasn't going in an organized pattern through the store! He laughed and said that there's so much that he doesn't even know exactly what they have! Yes... if you're looking for things made in Hawaii, there are some original artwork here and handmade items like wooden gift card holders with a Hawaiian print! Go check 'em out! read more

Finally I found another store that carries Bomber Eyewear. If you are on the west side of Oahu, in Kapolei at the Kamakana Ali'i mall, check out No'eau Designers. I was happy to see they had the bomb rippa models in store and got the last blacked out polarized bomb rippa!!!! Experience from No'eau was great, multiple store associates asked if I needed any help with anything. When I found the Bombers rack, they are locked up but the associate was super helpful and I got what I wanted. Great experience from this store with great customer service. read more

Me and my daughter thought this was such a cute store. I am hawaiian myself and my daughter fell in love with a hawaiian flag backpack/crossbody from this store. It was pricy $70 but i decided to purchase it for my daughter. She has now used this bag for less than 2 weeks and both pull tabs have completely came off, see the photos. Today we decided to go to the store and ask what the policy on the backpacks are and explained what happened with the backpack i purchased for my daughter. I was told their policy is exchange/refund with 30 days with a receipt and all tags must be attached item must still be brand new. I was very frustrated with this answer because i did tell them my daughter has been using the bag and for $70 i would expect better quality. Both employees just looked at me and said nothing. I let them both know i would be writing a review on yelp due to the low quality but high price tags for their bags. So buyers if you are purchasing a backpack/crossbody from this store do not be surprised that the quality does not match the high price you will be paying. read more

Love shopping at this store! I always buy a pair of earrings when I get the chance and the customer service is usually very welcoming. But today was the first time I felt a little uncomfortable shopping. Went in with my dad and we took our time looking around, I grabbed a pair of earrings and continued to shop but I couldn't help but feel like one of the workers were watching me. I'm going to assume she was the manager during this time. I completely understand the need for diligence since it's a local business with other small local businesses. Paid, and as we're walking out I swear I heard the lady ask the person who checked me out if I actually bought the pair of earrings I grabbed. Kinda bummed out that I was perceived like that and made me want to return the earrings I bought. read more

They have a few brands that I normally buy from: David Shepard, Living Hula, Kini Zamora-- and they have a lot of Hawaiiana books and a few games too. We left with a couple of books and stickers that I got carried away with and spent too much on lol. My husband bought bags and gave me couple days after. He didn't save receipt but it was in their store bag, and tag attached. I understand policy was exchange with gift receipt, but if it was clearly from them, they should accept at least Exchange or store credit. That way they're not loosing sales. Established in January 2017, two local entrepreneurs Vaalele Malaki & Corrina Travis who are both raised on Oahu decided to take different approach on sharing their culture. Personally, it is like I'm wandering in a half museum room somewhere & is always in an awe. ND is a one stop shop allowing to see customers their favorite artist in one location year 'round. Whether you're looking for accessories, clothing, jewelry, home goods or bath & body products they have it. Bandit was hooked immediately! He bought a cloth mask $35 & a table top decoration from Maikapoli Creations $25. He's so happy with his purchases. Obviously they're not cheap. But as the saying goes, support local, (sigh) they're pretty worth it to have people's support. Building a community ain't easy & if we are talking about local native talents, why not keep the culture alive & if yo can't afford to buy the products now, let us help spread the creativity on what showcases Hawaii's talent verbally. Hawaii is so unique. Valuing any roots they came from is so important. And as years passed by, you'll see less & less people taking their part on embracing what they really have. Male cashier was rude and unfriendly. There were maybe 5 people in the store and it wasnʻt like he was busy. One register was closed so I went over to his. He gave his co-worker the eye and I felt offended and even asked, "Why the eye?" Then he got more professional asking canned questions, but it was forced and not genuine. There are some nice things there, but not worth the unfriendly cashier nor the drive out there. read more

Awhile back ago I had gone into the Kapolei store just to check it out. The store was not busy at all and not one employee had approached me! I was interested in the comforters, sheets etc. It's unfortunate that NO ONE approached me and therefore my best bet is to rate a one star. read more

I stopped by today and fell in love with the bag at first sight; I ended up buying two (one for me and one for mom)! I'm a huge gym-rat, and I love their selection of leggings as well. One even had ōhia lehua on the sides! How cool is that? Definitely something you'd only find here. I will definitely be returning for more goodies. We came here for Small Business Saturday this year, though I've been in this shop several times before. There are lots of locally-made products for adults, kids, homes, and pets, and their stock is always changing. The jewelry selection seemed a bit limited (maybe not limited... but not as varied) this visit, but they have had more varied items in the past. We had sales staff greet us and ask if we needed assistance, so perhaps their customer service is improving. They do participate in the mall's Military Monday promotion for 10% off your purchase. There is also a variety of price points, so it's a good one-stop-shop kind of place to look for gifts and support local artisans and makers. read more

No Aloha there today. I went to return an item that I paid full price for & was within the 30 day allotted time frame - both sales associates disputed the return without properly examining the receipt. Once I pointed out the store policy both associates mood changed & both avoided any eye contact. Initially, when hearing I was returning the item due to a cancelled wedding there was some compassion, however that quickly changed when the transaction happened. Such a disappointment as I truly love shopping there. This makes it hard to shop local. read more

There were quite a bit of people but she managed to help out each and everyone from our group plus the others that walked in at the same time as us. Their window lures window shoppers to not only glance at their display but find themselves walking into the store. I used the Mall's gift card... their team was able to help me use my card correctly and sent me off with mahalos for buying local. I walked away with a cute set of earrings (Koa?) and a hiki no hat. Interesting store with some pretty cool local brands. There were some things that I probably would have bought if not for the Very Poor Customer Service. I walked in the store one afternoon and there must have been 5 workers in there. 3 ladies standing by the counter, one I assume maybe the manager. Not one of them greeted me, nor even acknowledged that I was even there. 2 other workers were merchandising a shelf, and they just looked at me and went along with their work. I did one lap around the store and left. Not one word from anyone. I would never walk in that store again. A simple greeting, would probably have lead to me being a repeat customer. This place has beautiful local quality made products, but unfortunately they lack the aloha spirit. Came here to check out the sweet sweet honey swaddle blankets. The blanket was great, and extremely soft, sadly I never picked it up because of the service I received. There was one worker sitting at the counter who looked up at me, but didn't even bother to greet me. The entire time she sat there reading what looked like a magazine, and never even asked me or another customer how we are doing, or if she could help. I walked out and noticed her watch me walk out, I looked back and still nothing, no thank you for stoping by or have a nice day. I won't be returning nor will I recommend a place like this.
