The style of a resort but not the price. Great price point for clothing and costume jewelry. Nice quality and trendy yet classic styles. Great customer service. You can actually get a whole outfit here for under $100, including shoes and jewelry.

My mother in law found something she really liked at the location in Waikiki but they didn't have her size. The employee there told us that they have her size at this Ko'Olina location, and we were like great! That's even closer to our place. The store was spacious and they had chairs for guys to wait for their women while shopping. They even had toys for kids to play. The employees are very nice and helpful. She found what she was looking for. And I didn't buy anything but they have really cute jewelries for reasonable prices.

Whenever the happy half wants to go to Ko'olina, I always find myself at another Mahina location. I get excited because even though there are plenty of Mahina stores, every one of them look different. I never see the same outfit on the mannequins longer than a week. Styles are always on a constant change and there are always items on the sale rack at a great price. Mahina Ko'olina is tucked at the same shopping center as Egg's N Things and Just Taco's Mexican Grill on the left side of Olani St. The store is clean and organized with friendly sales associates. Fitting rooms are roomie for any mothers shopping with a stroller. Mahina is locally owned and originally from Maui. The couple first opened their store in Paia in 2006 and voted "best boutique" for 7 years in a row and with locations in Kauai, Oahu, and Big Island. Living in Hawai'i where the sun is always shining all year round, we need those soft flowy dresses, pretty tops and mind blowing accessories. One of my favorite things is finding uniquely made statements in a boutique. The store if filled with eclectic pastels, with accessories all around hanging on light brown wooden displays. Mahina have their fair selections of expensive items and some reasonable selections. I love shopping at their 20%-50% discount racks. In those sections I've found dresses and tops in my size and style for a steal. At the Ko'olina location, their sale rack isn't always at the front as some of the other locations might be. Sometimes I've found the rack tucked away at the back near the fitting rooms. They are treated with lots of respect and organized by color, style and size. I've returned several times for accessories ranging from $5 and up. Know that the accessories are not placed at one spot. They are all over the store, on the display, shadow boxes and cups. Their strappy sandals are nicely chosen to pair with the perfect ensemble, as well as purses and clutches at a great quality. There's always something new to find when you turn around. So look carefully. I'm a huge fan of following their social media and tend to find outfits and accessories I like. Each Mahina location have their own Instagram. They're very active in responding in regards to any questions a customer may have. I've found a handful of items I wanted them to reserve and try on. Should they not have the piece avail, they will call all stores on the island for a style and color check and do an instore delivery. I love the attention to customer service. Parking at the Ko'olina location is free and easy to find depending on the time of day. But most of the time, we've been lucky. I decided to purchase 2 pairs of shorts I have been looking for EVERYWHERE and found the exact style on their site. I messaged the boutique's Instagram for some help and got answers right away. Then they only had (2) rash guard swimsuits to choose from (in Hawaii across from the beach) I chose one...while still feeling good about my choice I was paying for it & was told that all sales are final on swimwear, I mentioned my daughter was at the hotel across the street I planned on bringing it to her and have her try it on before removing any tags to make sure it fits. The sales lady told me I should bring her in to try on first if I am not sure of her size...OK. I say OK, no worries this will be fine I'm fairly certain of her size. As she rings it up she prints a separate receipt that I needed to sign separately for her to keep at the store of me acknowledging the no return policy on swimwear, I sign it. Then she gets out a big red rubber stamp that says: "All Sales Final No Returns" for the receipt I would be taking with me and stamps it. Anyhow, as a 13 year former employee of Nordstrom I just couldn't help feeling not very happy with my whole shopping experience, and not appreciated as a buyer. I like the rash guard top and it fits...whew! I understand there are folks that take advantage of retail stores with returns and the stores are unable to return back into stock causing a loss of profit. But by setting a policy of a strict time limit and requiring all tags to still be attached is much more reasonable, and the store still able to re sell it is a win-win.
