The service was great. I am so thankful they took care of my wedding ring, even though we bought it from somewhere else and that company left everybody. Kay jewelers had every right to. turn us away , but they didn't they embraced us and put a diamond back in my ring and cleaned it all up and made it look like brand new. Would put 0 stars if allowed. I have been a customer for over 2 years now. First purchase was a necklace and second was a ring. Will never be buying anything from this place again. Poor poor management and high turn around time for staff because of it. The general manager is unprofessional and unhelpful to say the least. I came in to get my necklace chain fixed for the 20th time and get a cleaning and inspection (per the warranty jewelry needs inspected every 6 months to stay active and it had been a year). Upon waiting through the line I was simply brushed away being told there's nothing about an inspection on my account and I was good to go. I recently went in again with my receipt that I found and pointed out where they highlighted when it need inspected but never would do it when I was in the store and asking. The lady who helped me this time was clearly being ran into the mud by the other employees and/or management and kindly walked me through how to make sure I was properly taken care of by slacking employees moving forward as she seemed to be on her way out the door and understood my frustration. Overall, AWFUL customer service and management. If you're not going in to drop money on their sales report they pay you no respect whether your a new or past customer. read more

Kelsey was kind enough to look at them and offered a lot of information about jewelry I knew little about. She wasn't able to give me any sort of an appraisal but referred to me someone who did. I would rate kays with zero stars if it was optional. We have been with kays for 10 years and just substantially upgraded my wedding ring set and purchased an all diamond bracelet. The bracelet and rings were too big so we had them sent in for sizing. I got the band and bracelet back but not the main ring because I was told the jeweler "broke it to the extent he couldn't fix it and it had to be sent back out to a professional to be foxed" the bracelet was put back together wrong after taking out links and broke as I was showing the manager and the band had a raised loose diamond so it also had to be sent back in. It's been over 30 days now and I don't have even one of the 3 items because of constant issues on their end! The manager admitted to not checking the jewelry when it came back in but assured me they sent it out to a "more professional, experienced jeweler this time around" absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous! read more

Received a call from Kay jewelers that my ring was ready for pick up today (they had to fix a broken prong), arrived at the Mishawaka location to get my ring and they weren't open. They are supposed to open at 10am. I waited until 12:30pm since I drove an hour. Spoke to numerous people at corporate; no answers no apologies. They states the local store "Must have a staffing issue". I drove an hour back home with no ring. What kind of corporation are they running?! Inexcusable! That's how I wasted my day off. read more

I am very disappointed with the Staff and Manager at Kay's jewelers. Jill and I picked out her wedding set and we took in a ring that was purchased there to do a diamond for diamond exchange. We had to equal half of the trade in value which meant we had to spend a total of $1500.00. Three people helped us get to that point. It took about 2 hours total for us to find what we wanted and to equal what we had to spend. When they went to go and ring it all up the computer wouldn't let them do it. They said we had to wait until the manager came back on Friday but they assured us it wouldn't be a problem and the deal would go through. They put all the jewelry that we picked out in our layaway bag and put it back in the safe. Friday came and there was no call from the manager. At 5pm we called and spoke to him about what was going on...at that time he told us you can not do a diamond for diamond exchange on items that were on sale and that everyone at the store knows this. So my question is, why did all the employees help us on 2 different occasions pick all this jewelry out to equal the amount they set and didn't say a word about this!? Also, he was very rude in the fact that he was trying to rush us off the phone and told us to just come in the next day so he could help us then. He said he would be there until 9pm but when we showed up he wasn't there. And left no directives for his employees to make this right for us. They had already put all the jewelry back that we spent so long picking out. Now we have nothing and are back to square one. If you have a policy your employees ALL SHOULD BE WELL AWARE OF EXACTLY WHAT IT IS!!! All we were told the WHOLE time is diamond for diamond! DIAMOND FOR DIAMOND!! that's what we did and even had help from everyone there and were still denied after all that time spent. It's more then disappointing to pick out something that important and want what you want and then be told you can't have it. We called the Kay's 800 number last night and spoke with someone about how disappointed we are and they assured us that they would get the district manager involved in this matter. I purchased a blue diamond ring on 1-25-19, on the morning of 1-26-19 I canceled this order because of all the bad reviews on the ring. All of the reviews said the the blue on the prongs around the blue diamonds rubs off and that ring looked terrible at this point. This ring I paid cash for in the store. I left there very upset, to the point of crying, because they told me that they could not give me cash back. But, could give me in store credit or have corporate mail me a check which would take one to 2 weeks. I immediately called customer service while I was crying and sitting in my car. They apologized and told me to go back inside and it would be taken care of. The employee gave me a jewelry cleaning kit for all of my trouble and apologized. I actually picked a ring that day, a blue sapphire ring, but also had an issue. This ring would not work at all. Could not get a band to go with it, so I read about the 60 day return policy if I was not happy in any way. today 2-4-19 I returned this ring, but not the jewelry cleaning kit, because I was given that for all the problems with the first issue. The very same employee told me corporate would send me a check, but made me pay for the JEWELRY CLEANING KIT. WHAT THE HELL!!!! This was absolutely awful and really shocked me that she did that to me!! I will never go into this store ever again. The employees do not know what they are doing and the jewelry quality is no better than what you can get at Wal-mart, THEY JUST CHARGE YOU 4 TIMES THE AMOUNT FOR IT!!!!!! I'm going to put this bluntly. Kay's was by far the worst jewelry store my fiancée and I have been to. Earlier in the week we were going from store to store looking for a men's wedding band. After being the store for about ten minutes, we were finally greeted. We told the sales associate what we were looking for, and she pointed us in that direction, and then, left. She didn't speak to us again. On the verge of irritation, we simply left and took our business elsewhere to find a much more pleasurable and personable experience. For a store that very likely runs on commission, the associate didn't seem to care about her job, her customers, or her pay. It would have been nice to have been greeted on arrival and actually helped. We had several questions about jewelry, and we were never given the opportunity to ask them. If you are thinking about getting wedding rings, or any other jewelry from Kay's, do so. However, only do so if you prefer to be left alone and ignored, and not helped at all. read more
