I feel like it's important to provide an update. Less than 3 months after Kay Jewelers supposedly fixed my mother's necklace, it broke again. Obviously, we are not going to take it back there because they can't function as a professional business so we took it to another jeweler who put it under a microscope. They told us that there were at least five to six more areas on the necklace that should have been repaired when it originally was submitted at Kay. If you are in the St George area and need any type of work done on jewelry, I cannot stress enough do not bring it to Kay Jewelers in Red Cliffs mall. You would be better off asking the guy on the corner with the cardboard sign. read more

We will not return to the Kay Jewelers in St. George. We've been three times in the past year, and each time we returned we felt that the value in the customer experience decreased significantly. In synopsis; the first time was our best experience, it was during the Christmas season and everyone seemed happy to help, which is the only reason this review deserves 2 stars instead of 1. The second time was to get our jewelry resized; we were the only customers at the store while the two employees were sitting down and scrolling through their phones, and they looked very inconvenienced by our presence upon arriving. During the checkout process, both employees made multiple slang comments about our attire to each other, referencing Cosmo and Wanda from the show "Fairly Odd Parents" which I believe was a feeble attempt to mock us while assuming we didn't understand the reference, very bizarre.. The third time- I received a call to pick up the ring; when we arrived, we sat for 30 minutes without being greeted, although there were two employees and only one other customer in the store. The younger gentleman(the one who called me to pick up the ring) didn't make eye contact with us once until I stood up; he saw me and said "I'll be right with you," then I told him we're just there to pick up the ring, and again he said "ya I'll be right with you." We waited another 10 minutes, then he abruptly speaks out across the room and asks "what's the name?!" It took 30 seconds to handle our request. I signed the receipt, he handed us the ring, then he turned his back and started talking to the other employee without saying a word to us. After about 30 seconds, he noticed we were still there and says "you're good to go" then turned his back again. I've experienced better customer service from employees working outside at a Chick-fil-A drive-thru in 100° weather. I'm also not sure what the dress code is at Kay's, but watching the employees at Morgan Jeweler's, which was directly across from their store, wearing semi-formal attire and greeting every customer walking in with a smile, while being ignored and ridiculed by teenage employees wearing joggers and polos at Kay's, felt like we were the third class passengers on the Titanic watching the first class thrive in their space. It was embarrassing. I'll refrain from giving more of my opinions for the sake of this long review, but this was our experience and it, for lack of a better word, sucked. read more

Several years ago I bought my wife's wedding ring at Kay's. With the purchase I bought the extended warranty for $260, on top of the price of the ring. Within a few months of my fiancé wearing the ring, one of the diamonds fell out. They replaced it for free because of the warranty I purchased, which I greatly appreciated. Several months later, the same diamond became loose again, so we had to take the ring in again and they had to tighten it. Since then, we've been back periodically to get the ring checked out and tightened. Several months ago, the diamond fell out AGAIN. So we took it back to Kay's to get it fixed and they said I would have to pay for the diamond because we didn't get it checked in the last 6 months. No one told us we had to get it checked every 6 months for them to honor the warranty I purchased. So, they told me it would be about $200-$300 for the diamond to be replaced. I just got a call and they said it actually be more than $500!! Even with the warranty I purchased!! Don't buy your ring here. They don't honor their warranties and unless you follow their certain rules, which they don't even tell you about. The craftsmanship is poor as well. My wife doesn't know anyone that has had a diamond fall out of their ring twice in just 2.5 years, and we even went and got them tightened periodically! Be wary of their craftsmanship, and their workers telling you about their warranties. Take my advice and go somewhere else. I can't believe their craftsmanship is so poor. read more

I feel their prices are fair & they give out great coupons every month, that you can use. They also offer payment plans, which is great for newly weds! Employees are always really friendly & easy to talk to! Store is always vacuumed & glass is always sparkling. I took my wedding ring in to be cleaned at the local Kay's in St. George, Utah. I asked the store associate if he could also clean another right that was not purchased from this store, which he replied "absolutely." Upon return of my rings, I noticed the ring not purchased from Kay's was missing a stone. I notified the associate to which he replied "it was like that before I cleaned it." The problem was escalated to the store Manager, Nicole, who was less than helpful. She attempted to search for the missing stone and was unsuccessful therefore told us, " We are not technically supposed to clean rings that were not purchased through our store." I expressed my frustration because the associate did not give any prior warning to having the ring cleaned and agreed to do so without hesitation. Returning home, Nicole informed us the stone was found and they could refer us to a local jeweler who could fix it but we would have to pay the cost. I then proceeded to contact the corporate office for Kay jewelers. They were able to help me send off my ring in order to get it fixed by kays Who was ultimately responsible for the missing stone. I do not recommended this store and if I could give it 0 stars, I would. They are extremely unprofessional and quick to place the blame on the customer. I recieved no apology and Nicole never took responsibility for the situation. The store associate who cleaned my ring blatantly lied to my face about the stone missing before it was cleaned. I will never be returning to a Kay jewelers and I suggest you don't either. read more

I would not recommend this to anyone looking to have a special moment with anyone special because Kay's cannot deliver and stand up to their reputation. You'd be better off going to Seven Oaks jewelry store in the same mall. Great prices, local and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the needs of their customers are met and their reputation is kept. I went in on September 10th and ordered a ring with my girlfriend. Today is November 4th and to I still do not have the ring. Kevin (the manager) will let you feel totally confident that what you're doing is the best choice and that he'll do all he can to make sure your needs are met. But that's wrong. All of the employees at this Kay's have been very unreliable and not accountable. Throughout all this time I have never received a call from the Kay's store themselves like they said they would, instead I have made countless calls to get updates and it was always something new that has gone wrong with the ring. Also I have been given multiple guaranteed deadlines and I have lost all trust in Kay's and their reputation. Again WOULD NOT recommend. read more

Horrible customer service. I went in there looking for a ring for my girlfriend and I approached the counter where a employee was and she didn't acknowledge me at all and proceeded to walk away knowing I was looking for help. I was waiting for help for about 10 minutes until I finally hollered for help. I don't know if it was because of what I was wearing (some sweats and a jacket) but that shouldn't matter. After I hollered they still took a few minutes to get to me (I was the only one in the store looking to buy). When I finally got help, I was still not greeted or even spoken to. I asked to see a ring and asked the price and I got it in a rude tone. After I got the price I left upset because I was most likely judged by my appearance, just because I didn't look professional doesn't mean I can't afford what they sell (I'm more that capable of doing so). My daughter went in on black Friday and they asked her for her name and address to send her sale notices and then later in the mail we get a credit card application declined notice from Kay Jewelers. She NEVER asked for a store credit card and did NOT apply for it so how dare they run it?. When my daughter went in to the store to confront the manager they were extremely rude to her.
