Rockstar Kids on South Santa Monica Bl is a small shop that primarily sells fashionable clothing,…read moreshoes and accessories for kids, babies and adults who like A splash of bling, flash and luxury appeal. I've popped in here a few times and always purchase items for gifting and for my furbabe Fendi, who can often wear infant baby T-shirts. The shop has lots of crystal studded shoes with designer logos and crystal studded minuediere, very similar to designer Judith Leiber but at a fraction of the price. These small bags are very cute, and probably an adult might use and appreciate it more. This shop is a few doors from Sprinkles cupcakes and the display case always catches my attention. Earlier, I popped inside and purchased some mini backpacks with a clip-on for my little nieces. These are perfect as a coin and ID purse you clip-on to your jeans, clothing or bigger purse. Sabrina, the owner of the shop was very nice, patient and helped me pick out the perfect gifts and wrapped them up. There are so many cute, adorable things here, that if Fendi was my real human little girl, I shop here and purchase all the cute outfits perfect for a little ballerina princess angel :) If you're in the area, it's worth a visit, and be attempted to splurge for gifting or yourself.

Walked in, and instead of getting greeted, we were told by a lady that the store was going to be closing in 30 minutes but the fitting rooms are still open. Okay cool. She was nice about it so it was fine. Except right after she told us that on one side, a guy employee sees us, walks down the aisle, and straight up tells me and my boyfriend the same thing, except not as nice, with a "Just figure out what items you want." Ok. Haven't even walked through one aisle yet, but sure. I kid you not.. A few more moments of looking through an aisle, ANOTHER lady comes up to tell us the exact same thing, that they're close to closing. At that point, didn't feel welcomed anymore to just look around the store and instead a bit aggravated. So as we were now heading out and walking through the store the long way around, we were told again by another lady again that they were closing soon. At that point we just said, "Yupp we are heading out!" and after stepping out, we hear a Thank you. Like sheesh, it was really appalling how much staff really walked up to tell us they're closing soon (as if to kick you out) and it made the usual chill and nice Uniqlo experience bitter. Very unfortunate

As an open air mall, this style of shopping is inviting and enjoyable. Visiting frequently as a kid, it is a completely different experience. Stores are more high end than I remember. Crowds were exponentially greater! Lines for several stores (including Olive Young) to get in and for Ramen blew my mind. If you want a place to watch the world cup, courtyard is ready and inviting. This area was nice with the high rise century city backdrop. Although it was more crowded than I expected, meeting friends for lunch was great. The restaurant choices are wonderful. We planned to eat at one spot, but due to the wait we changed it up and it was a total hit. Parking was crazy! Lines to go up and down, it took forever to pull in a spot. The prices are expensive too if ya make a day here. Very few places validate.

Although this place is clean and offers lots of great stores, the parking system made everything very annoying. The fee system is complicated, and even after shopping, I ended up paying way too much. A place like this one, which claims to offer an exclusive shopping experience, requires a major renovation of its customer service department and parking system. There are many alternatives available in Los Angeles, where people do not leave irritated by the fees related to parking.

Sad to report that this store is no longer capable of selling good quality products that are good…read moreenough for normal, self-respecting human beings to buy. Bleghh. I'm not talking about just this location in specific though but Cotton On overall. The Century City Mall branch happens to be the closest location and my to-go to store for most of the clothing. At least it was last year. I'm a really tall person and finding something comfortable that's long enough to fit my giraffe like legs and monster arms is usually quite a challenge. During a year of isolation, while staying at home my closet literally filled with tees, fleece and regular hoodies, as well as sweatpants from this store. I used to rave about their quality for the price. For $30-$40 I could get really good clothes that wasn't any worse than Abercrombie or other, higher fashion brands that cost more. This year Cotton On is cutting costs. First they started making fleece hoodies without any fleece, then took the quality down on most other products. This weekend I visited the store. I was very curious to see if they introduced any new styles. I used to spend here hundreds of dollars and some employees already knew me by name. This time I walked out of there without buying a single thing. Not even a T-shirt. They dropped quality on everything! This is now really a store for teenagers only who may not really care much about quality. Even then, I'm pretty sure modern youth, with a higher sense of entitlement will want to wear items of higher quality that sits and feels really good. So right now Cotton on has the worst quality hoodies on the market. When I left the store this weekend I ended up going to the first floor of the mall to Abercrombie and Finch, picked up two new hoodies that I was so happy were a real quality product. As successful as Cotton On became at some point , unless they bring the quality back up on their products they will start noticing drop in sales and suffer eventually. I'm out.
