We settled on a 14k white gold band which I put an order in for and it was ready in about a week. Although I really was just buying a small ring, Ryan took the time to explain all my options to me as far as materials and prices patiently. It was a great experience and I will definitely be returning in the future for anything else I may need. I brought a ring and watches to this jeweler. I was unhappy with the ring sizing as there was a…read morevisible 'seam' where they cut and reattached it. I was told it was a new goldsmith. Then I brought several expensive watches to have battery replaced. All three watch batteries needed replacement within 6months to 1 year. What is weird, whenever I had batteries replaced elsewhere the batteries lasted well into a 3-5 year range. One of the watches needed a new movement piece. Apparently, they replaced the movement piece with a off brand, (not an original /manufacturer movement piece). I was never informed there was a choice in movement pieces as I would have paid more for an original/manufacturer one over some generic off-brand movement piece. I have no confidence on the quality of their work nor their honesty to fully inform a patron on options. We don't know, what we don't know and the watch repair was not fully explained. I learned about the movement piece because the darn battery failed again and I took it to a specialty watch repair shop who opened the watch and showed me.

When my husband lost his wedding ring, he went back to The Diamond Source to buy a new one. Fast forward 27 years. My husband wanted to have an eternity ring made for me for our anniversary. Of course we went back The Diamond Source. We have had an absolutely abysmal experience with them this time around. They designed a Diamond and sapphire eternity ring for us. While they were designing the ring, I also dropped off my engagement ring to be resized and repaired. The platinum band was bent and 1 of the prongs was completely missing and the other one was loose. Fanny said they could resize and fix the ring. We purchased the eternity ring the day after Valentine's Day and dropped off my engagement ring the same day. We were told it would be ready in 3 weeks and the engagement ring should take a week. When we got the engagement ring back 5 weeks later, it had not been fixed at all, but had been resized. The eternity ring was given to me and I did not inspect it carefully while at the store. The ring kept snagging on everything, so I took it off and looked at it carefully. The stones were crooked, they were almost coming out of the setting in two places. All of the stones were uneven. When I asked about the quality of the setting, Fanny said to bring it back and they would fix it and make it right. We dropped off the ring, fully expecting to be able to discuss the problems with the setting but Fanny just took the ring and said she would call us when it was ready. We never received a call. We called for several weeks and finally, she said she would bring the ring to us. When we got the ring, it was still not set properly. I took pictures of the ring both times. It was very poor work. By this time, I was so upset and just wanted to hs e our money refunded. We called Fanny and after contacting her dozens of times with no return call, she finally answered the phone and told my husband she would talk to the jeweler about refunding the money. Two more weeks passed by. Nothing. We called bs Kason and she said they would give us a partial refund. She said they would send half of the money to us via check and the following week, the other half. We returned the ring and she said she would send half on Monday and the remainder the following week. Here we are in mid June and we still have not received the money from them. The ring was atrocious. The service has been absolutely horrible. 99% of the time we call, we get no return phone call. They don't answer the phone. At their place of business! We will end up having to go to small claims court, because thus far, Fanny has not done anything she promised us. What should have been a delightful experience has ended up being a horrible experience. I would never in a million years have expected this experience from The Diamond Source. We called them today, they answer and then hang up. They have basically stolen our money at this point. The ring was returned and they are not returning the money they promised us. If you want a good experience buying your loved one a gift, my advice is to stay clear of The Diamond Source. They are not the reputable company they were 27 years ago. I had several experiences with this Jeweler and all negative…read more First he damaged my stone, he supposed to remove my stone from a setting, he cut the prongs and in process made a little cut on my stone which he tried to blame on someone else and the damage already being there. Then he tried to keep the prongs (as if it's just gold dust) while he returned my prongs after me asking for them, he still managed to keep prongs from another piece of jewelry that I forgot he cut prongs from as well. On another occasion, I sold a piece of jewelry and the buyer wanted to have a Jeweler verify that it's gold and he told this Jeweler that he will give him $10 just confirm that it is gold, and he rudely kept rushing us out of the store while gladly took the money , and that is considering I went to him on several occasions to verify gold pieces and always paid him for his time which probably was the easiest and fastest money he ever made. While all of these experiences were negative, especially him damaging an expensive gem, I think the worst was, him keeping a prong which was significant amount of gold. Any honest Jeweler would return even the smallest piece , so I don't know why this guy thinks it's ok to keep a big chunk like that and he anticipated to keep even more had I not asked for other pieces. Unfortunately I didn't realise about that piece that he kept until much later, at which point I thought it was too late going back to ask for it.

I left them for one week and he finally gave me a quote which was at least twice what it should have been. In addition, he never even looked into my repairs. So, I just went and picked up my items. He has a very pricey location and I never saw any other customers so I am sure he has to inflate his prices as much as possible. Therefore, if you have a lot of available time and excess expendable cash, this might be the place for you!
