We had a great time on this tour. Our guide Mike was great, he told us about the wildlife we might see, and in fact we saw most of it! I am not the most fit middle-aged woman, and he very kindly spotted that and took us out with the tide going out and back in with the tide coming in, so I paddled my own kayak the whole way without having to be towed in. It was very thoughtful of him. We saw nine dolphins and considered ourselves very lucky! I would do this kayak trip again and probably will when more of our friends come to visit. read more

The guy was also the manager and he did a beautiful job, showing us the area and giving a kayak ride for skill levels from beginner. The area is beautiful and he was very knowledgeable about the wildlife. We did not get to see any dolphins that day but they just did not come in to that area. It is the chance you take. I love to kayak and it was a solid two hours of it. We were lucky enough to see a manatee family just next to the dock where we got into our kayaks. What a treat! Wanted to take our friend Mark who is visiting from California on a new adventure. What an awesome kayaking experience! We happen to be the only people for the 9:30 slot so it was a private tour. Our guide Alister was so fun and helpful. He made sure we were safe getting in and out of the kayak and told us many amazing facts about the area, plants and wildlife. The highlight was seeing many pods of dolphins!!! Incredible!! It was one of those magical days. The water was like glass, very little wind and an overcast day which was good! We didn't get too hot. It was 2 hours which was perfect. I highly recommend this easy, fun adventure. Just make sure you're able to get in and out of the kayak from the dock! You need leg strength. Kayak Hilton Head is great, I recommend booking directly thru them. Easy to book and change. we booked 2 double kayaks for my adult grand daughter annd her boyfriend , 21, and my husband and I, 76. My husband had to cancel, but I had no problem paddling a single kayak on my own and they were able to make that change when I got there that morning. No problem. Mike was our guide and he was great, lots of good information, humor, and a good pace for all. We all enjoyed the tour very very much and saw a number of dolphins during our time on the water. Several dolphins were very close to which was very exciting. My sister and I love to kayak and both were in single kayaks for the 9:30 dolphin paddle. Our guide Alister was super knowledgeable about nature and was a terrific guide. We ended up seeing several dolphin pods which was amazing. You cannot beat this experience especially for this price!! I had the best experience yesterday!! I am a new local and have recently discovered kayaking. After three tours in different locations, this one was my favorite. My tour guide was on time, gave us instruction before taking off in a kind manner. No hurried and rushed instructions even if she has done this a thousand times like other places did. We were out for a wonderful tour, saw so many dolphins and learned some fun educational facts. she took photos for us, which also had not happened on other tours. We had a great kayak tour recently with our tour guide Ruben. 2 hours wasn't nearly enough, I could have stayed out twice as long easily! Ruben made the trip relaxing and fun. He was knowledgeable about the local wildlife and ecosystem of Hilton Head Island but didn't just reel off a list of facts, he taught us about the way the island works as a whole. We saw a couple of dolphins at the beginning of the trip and saw a ton of local birds, fish, and beautiful scenery. I recommend the 5 pm tour because the view of the sunset from the water is breathtaking. Amazing experience! We chose the dolphin boat tour expecting a few close encounters with ewrths smartest mammals. Our guide Jay was super friendly and informative. Our first stop was Vanishing Island. There were a few other people there, but more than that, thousands of live starfish. Kids and we were mesmerized, and came back with some sand dollars too. Great way to spend an hour walking around in those warm shallow waters. The highlight was the search for dolphins in the marshes. We were able to see 6 separate strand feedings with dolphins leaping out of the water onto the banks to eat fish. Incredible! Our dumb luck but worth every penny. Highly recommend this group even if you're not lucky enough to see strand feeding dolphins. read more

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, they even gave us a refund for a couple riders that didn't go because of the guides talk of sharks, jokingly but it didn't go over so well. The guide was super cool but really seemed more interested in trying to catch fish and take us to the areas that he thought the fish would be. We didn't see anything but different birds and some mullets, nothing cool. Not sure if we would've went to other areas away from his fishing spots that we would've seen anything or not but it was just okay. It was relaxing and I guess that was the plan. read more

We booked once for a guided tour and liked it so much that we came back the next day to try it on our own. Both were great experiences. Our guide was kind, funny, patient and knowledgeable. He was also the one to greet us and get us set up the next day -- again, he was very helpful and encouraging. The area is beautiful -- well worth seeing twice.
