I visited the winter park KBF design place looking for inspiration and the real possibility of doing businesses with them. But I was coldly greeted just steps inside the main door by a design sales person, who took one look at concept picture I had saved off a nationally recognized website and immediately blew me off, he basically indicated without knowing me that bathroom pictured was more than I can afford. It was clear to me if you go to this place without a prearranged construction allowance from a builder they don't want to waste their time. I walked around their underwhelming show room, then left. I guess the next time I go to a place like this I'll have to pretend I'm their for a new construction with an allowance for a KItchen and bathrooms or at least drive up to the store in one of those overpriced European cars with a fancy name just to be welcomed and served. read more

I contacted KBF in my search for a contractor to remodel my master bath. It was a small bath, and I was going to need to expand into an existing closet to enlarge the footprint. The final project was to be a 3 piece bath (double vanity, toilet and shower), with a total of 96 square feet. They quoted me a range of $95,000-$115,000 for the project. My husband and I sold our family home and decided it was time to downsize. We searched and finally found a location we felt would suit our needs. The only problem was our town home was stuck in the 80's. We interviewed 5 contractors and found that KBF was our first choice . However, to get our home out of the 80's and to where we wanted it to be, KBF didn't match our budget. We decided we would hire another "company" to do the tear out, dry wall, and the tile of the guest and 2nd bath. Reserving the kitchen and master bath to KBF. Several weeks into the job, the "other company"took our money, packed up their tools and went home. Leaving us with a large majority of the job unfinished. Unfortunately, what they had completed needed re-doing. I will spare you the downside of this experience and share how beyond pleased we are with KBF and their staff. We ended up spending more money having to do many jobs over again. The work KBF did was done right the first time. KBF staff was always friendly, never grew tired of my sometimes daily phone calls, always had an answer for me, and truly cared about my home as much as my husband and I did. They helped us with our selections of cabinets, fixtures, stone, glass, etc. When my husband and I would visit to see the progress, if there were tradesmen working they would stop what they were doing, introduce themselves and then explain what they were doing and why. Many times they asked, "is this to your satisfaction?". (There are just some things money can't buy.) There probably won't be a "next time" for us but if there was...., it will be KBF all the way. All I can say is WOW! We did a very extensive remodel of our master suit with KFB and it went exactly as planned. We we impressed with the professionalism, communication and quality of work. we recently bought a new home and were looking to upgrade our kitchen, specifically cabinets and counter tops. We had been to several cabinet and counter top places in town before we went to KBF. What ultimately helped us pick them was their extensive showroom, and when I say extensive, I mean extensive. It is far superior to any other place in town. They have a designer that helped us visualize the plan. Kept us informed of project delays -few. Their products are fabulous. Upscale cabinetry. Hardware. Fixtures all classy.
