    Brunch
    Lava Y.

I came here on a Saturday so it was just the brunch menu and the place was very quiet compared to the weekdays when it's really busy during lunch time. I ordered Caesar salad which was ok, the chicken it it tasted pretty good compared to the usual roasted chicken at delis. The omelettes look pretty big and they have a few on the menu in addition to other usuals like sandwiches, eggs Benedict and porridge. There is also a kids menu by the way. The service was a bit slow but the staff were friendly at least. The variety of food is less than than the city centre branches like the one opposite Trinity college and the other on St. Stephen's Green as I would say most businesses around here cater for the working crowd on weekdays, so on weekends there is very limited selection. There is a lot of seating inside, the cafe is kept clean and the prices are pretty average at around €10. Overall, more variety during the busy weekdays but makes for a quiet enough brunch spot on the weekends by the canal.

Macchiato. They make really good ones.

"Meh. I've experienced better." We went here for breakfast and ended up ordering omelettes, which were supposed to come with fruit--but we never got any (an we didn't remember to ask, which is definitely my bad). Criticisms apart, it was a decent omelette but nothing really special. The coffees were really good and would probably be the only reason for my return, if that ever happens.

Went for breakfast and got an omelet with sundried-tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella which was delicious. I also got a fruit salad which was really fresh. Really cute inside, with a good amount of seating. Average service, you pay at the counter after you eat, which would have been nice to know so we did not sit there for 10 minutes feeling awkward... A friend got the blueberry pancakes, but were more like crepes but delicious. The location is wrong on here, but I'm sure what the address is to fix it. FYI

This is a new place I tried out for lunch today and I really liked it. Form the outside it looks like quite a dark place, but inside it's actually quite pleasant. They have a couple tables outside; you can also eat inside or takeaway. There's a section on the left when you go in with pre made sandwiches, wraps and rolls or alternatively there's a hot counter with things like Shepard's pie, quiche, chicken etc which you can have served with an array of salads. I opted for a take away salad of Chinese chicken and roasted vegetables. I also picked up a little pre packed sushi box too and the total was about €10.50. It was really tasty and the staff were lovely, so I'll definitely be back.

Warned jug of milk and heart shaped mini treat on the side for Valentine's! Pity it's also lent!

Ok so the last time I was here the service was a disaster. Gave it another go as every spot deserves a chance! They have a new barista in. The coffee is good. Slightly more bitter than I'd like but it's a combination of the blend and slight burn I think. I don't take milk but he warmed the jug of milk he bright to my table. The other side of that is that it is a waste but hey what cab you do? Then my order of bacon and eggs arrives....with toast. I don't eat toast. I didn't ask for toast. In fact, when he called my order back he said "scrambled egg and toast?" I said no, "scrambled egg and bacon" so it baffles me why there is toast on the plate! Again, wasteful. All in all tasty but there are still just a few niggly annoyances here!

    Dry potatoes uneaten.

The staff were friendly and it was busy, but not too full. I came in a little after 130pm, and I think I'd been in a bit earlier there would have been longer lunch queues. If there is a queue it's worth the wait. I haven't had a Reuben sandwich probably since I left Canada in 2016 (Reuben's are American, but you can get them all over Canada too). Dark rye bread, corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, dill pickle, and Russian dressing. It was delicious. Pickles aren't a staple on Reuben sandwiches, but I love pickles and was happy with this addition. It adds a nice little tang, along with the dressing. The soup was warm and delicious with a bright tomato flavour. Soup changes daily. Portions were quite large. I just got the soup and sandwich and when I ordered I wondered if it would be enough. It was. My tummy was quite happy after lunch here. I'll be back for sure. Or maybe I'll just order in, because they have free delivery in D1.

Jars of rocket pesto, packets of nuts, seeds and dried fruits, bottles of fine wine, sumptuous carrot cake and barrels of stuffed olives tempt the healthy palette. I bought a large packet of Kettle Chips (hand cooked potato chips with "absolutely nothing artificial") for €3.50. An expensive way to guiltlessly munch on crisps. My aunt and I split the beef casserole and the salmon (€11.95 each). All mains come with a fist-full of vegetarian pasta, beetroot and coleslaw. I also treated myself to a small tub of feta-stuffed olives. Yum! As we sat in the sunshine sipping our coffees (with soy milk if you please), we discussed the health benefits of tannins (any excuse for that caffeine hit or to uncork a nice bottle of red) and marvelled at the vibrant colours of the pansy violets that peered out at us from the cutest little flower pots.

The restaurant sits at the intersection of the Green, Grafton Street, and several of the city's busiest shopping and business districts, making it an easy stop whether you're sightseeing, shopping, or heading to a show. The exterior presents a polished, contemporary façade with golden, modern lettering and large floor-to-ceiling windows that take advantage of the surrounding streetscape and natural light. Inside, the space has been designed as a modern brasserie, with a brighter and more refined atmosphere than its former KC Peaches café incarnation. Soft lighting, contemporary white furnishings, and a clean aesthetic create an environment that feels equally suited to breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner service. Our group of ten made a reservation in advance, and I'm glad we did - at 11:30 on a Sunday morning, the restaurant was completely full, so I would say reservations are non-negotiable, especially for large parties on the weekend. The menu reads as a modern European brasserie, combining all-day café favorites with more substantial lunch and dinner offerings. Expect a mix of salads, sandwiches, brunch staples, pasta dishes, seafood, and grilled meats, alongside an extensive coffee and drinks selection. The breadth of the menu makes it suitable for everything from a quick breakfast near St. Stephen's Green to a leisurely evening meal. While the offerings are generally approachable and crowd-pleasing, there is enough variety to appeal to groups with differing tastes. Their drinks include various teas, coffees, lattes etc. - while I'd recommend going to a traditional cafe to sample real matcha, some of my friends really enjoyed their Chai Lattes/Dirty Chai Lattes (€4-6), as well as their other coffee drinks. We all ordered different entrees, and no one was disappointed in their dish - some standouts include their Shakshuka (€14.90), which comes with a large portion of grilled sourdough, a deeply-flavred tomato-and-pepper sauce, runny poached eggs, seasonal vegetables, and basily and feta, and their Full Irish (€15.90) with the same sourdough, flavorful bacon and sausages, black pudding (dont' be scared, it's an Irish breakfast classic, tomatoes, mushrooms, and eggs your way. I opted for the French Toast (€12.90), which was served with two slices of French toast, a rich whipped mascarpone, and a mixed berry compote, which was a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity. While I would have appreciated some additional fruit, I think the French Toast itself was a great combination of richness and crispy fried edges, with a perfectly custardy inside. Prices are moderate for such a central Dublin location, with most diners likely spending between €15-30 per person depending on whether they're stopping in for a casual daytime meal or a more substantial evening dinner (which we didn't get the chance to sample). Overall, Peaches is a great stop in a highly-frequented area for any meal of the day, and I'd love to return at some point to sample their dinner menu!
