We hired K C Water Filtration and Lake Pump Systems to install a water system for my mother. Access to reliable water is critical for her daily life as a handicapped senior. Recently, the system installed by K C failed. When my mother called them for service, they informed her that the issue was due to a faulty water pressure tank and pressure switch, quoting $1,600 for a replacement tank. My mother pointed out that the tank should be under warranty and asked if it would be covered. Unexpectedly, they claimed the tank was not theirs and wasn't listed in their original paperwork. Their explanation? That it must have been part of a previous system and they had "reused" it during the installation and system setup. We disputed this, explaining that this system was fully installed by them with what we believed to be new equipment provided by their company. When this dialogue went nowhere, we offered to purchase a cheaper replacement tank ourselves and asked them to install it when they fixed the pressure switch. However, they refused, citing a company policy against installing equipment they don't supply. This directly contradicts their claim that they reused an old tank from the previous system. When we pointed out this inconsistency, the situation escalated. Their representatives responded with anger and insults. It was unprofessional. Instead of taking accountability or assisting in finding a resolution or compromise, they left my mother without a functioning water system. It was a bad day for my mom and me, and I hope maybe they were just having a bad day as well. But based on this interaction and my experience, all I can report is that K C's warranty policies and/or record-keeping are questionable, and their customer service is aggressive, rude, and dismissive. My husband and I initially reached out to KC Water Softener due to suspected hard water. We were promised a callback to set up a service visit, but we received no response. After calling them back, they said they would send us a water test kit. Nothing came and we had to call them for a third time. Once we received the test kit, it confirmed we were receiving hard water. So logically we called them again to find out the next steps. The woman asked 2-3 troubleshooting questions and then said she would call back to set up a service visit. Despite numerous unfulfilled promises to call us back, she eventually called us asking if we were available in the next hour for the service visit. Luckily we were. Kelly spent a mere 10 minutes at our home, identified the block, and cleared it using tools from our own garage. The issue was resolved, however, the next day we received an unexpected invoice charging us $95 for the service and an additional $25 fuel surcharge. This billing came as a total surprise because no one had informed us upfront of these charges, despite the numerous phone calls. I called to inquire about the unexpected charges and address the lack of transparency, but I was met with rude and dismissive responses, leaving me speechless. She told us that we were charged because of the time they spent to come out, and essentially accused us of providing inaccurate information in response to her troubleshooting questions. I was taken aback and didn't even know what to say, as we had relied on their expertise to help diagnose and address the problem. This entire experience has left us feeling deceived and taken advantage of. The experience would have been less upsetting if KC Water Softener had been upfront about their service charges and treated us with respect. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of transparency and professionalism displayed by KC Water Filtration throughout this process. I hope this review serves as a warning to others considering their services, and I strongly advise potential customers to clarify all charges and expectations upfront to avoid similar unpleasant surprises. read more

I have used KC water filtration for my 2 homes. Kelly as always been very professional and has answered his phone every single time that I've called him for assistance. Even answered while he was on a fishing boat at the coast on vacation. To me this speaks volumes of how he not only sells but more importantly services his customers. Not once has he seemed inconvenienced by my calling him on his cell phone even if after hours or weekends. I have already recommended him to several neighbors and friends. KC Water Filtration installed our Culligan whole house water softener system as a subcontractor for Culligan. We are not happy with the installation; they did shoddy work. They came out several times because of leaks and an incorrect placement of the system. , One leak gushed all over our garage causing water damage and required that we disconnect the water softener system. Also, after a very short period of time, the wire and pipe they attached across the wall of our garage came loose. Culligan had to send out their own guy to fix the system. read more
