My water pressure was nothing after the city repaired the brushy creek water line. I called Roger's plumbing and they came out right away and discovered it was my water softener that needed new media. Water softener was taken on a Friday and brought back as good as new the next Monday. Great work and no issues. I have seen others complaining about the price and I do agree that the pricing is probably too high, but I didn't think it was materially higher than other competitors. I have also used them on a couple of other plumbing issues and always experienced great customer service and quality work. To me, that is worth paying a little more, but I do understand why some would not want that premium attached to their bill. Overall, I will continue to use them as my go to for plumbing solutions, but couldn't give 5 stars just because pricing is a bit higher than competitors. If you're looking for quality work, reliable and friendly workers, with good warranties at a slightly higher price point I would definitely recommend them. read more

Right before an out of country trip I had to take, I noticed my hot water heater was leaking. I called Roger's Plumbing, we had used them in the past, and told my wife to go ahead and put it in. When I got back, I saw the 50-gallon replacement tank was installed with a mechanical controller Lennox 50-gallon tank. I had previously had 50 gallon with electronic controller. They charged me $4,600 dollars which included a Expansion Tank add on and Gas Line update. When I got home, I was a little shocked at the price and did a quick AI search to see if that was the going rate. I used Roger's Plumbing once for a rental house (their $53 drain clean special, which is really $152 with the trip charge). None of their Facebook advertising mentions the trip charge. At the time, the tech call me to warn me he might have to pull and reset the toilet for $420. That's usury pricing, and double the normal rate. He was told he's not to pull the toilet under any circumstance. They accomplished the job for the $152. Fast forward two weeks, and the same tenant calls them back for the kitchen drain. The tech said the drain needed to be hydro-jet washed for $1,400. No-thank you. I had it done today by A&T Service Plumbing for $347. Be careful of add-on costs with Roger's Plumbing. So so many of the 1 star reviews on here are from customers that discovered how overpriced Roger's Plumbing is. I wonder how many of the 5 star reviews would change if they knew what their jobs would have cost with other service providers. read more

We had several small things. A slow flushing toilet, outside water faucets needed to be replaced, and our water filters in our house filtration system needed to be replaced. Had a dreadful evening last night to say the least. My old faucet in the shower/tub decided to do the old drip drip drip for weeks. Being the fantastic fixer that I am, I decided to fix what was the original faucet from 1984. What could go wrong, I just thought if I unscrewed the faucet knob to see what was wrong I'd of course see something wrong and fix it. Unscrew a decades old knob without cutting the water off and just see what can go wrong. I did just that. I am a pretty smart guy I like to think, lots of common sense, not this day! I admit it, can you? I unscrewed the knob, tugged on it and wha la! the knob came off and so did the insert inside the faucet and water shot out like a gyser, it started blowing the shower curtain outside the tub and I had no way to cut off the water except to take my drenched ass out to the road and luckily I had one of those cut off tools to cut it off at the street! I came back in and had a dam mess from hell and back. I called Rogers Plumbing this morning after all the trama, and they said they could send someone out Friday AM. But they would put me on the list for today if someone cancelled. They called me, someone had cancelled or they just fit me in, and set up an appointment for today instead of tomorrow. Orlando, I feel like hes family by now since he has been out to my place before to fix my gas pipe behind the stove. Within an hour he had fixed the pipes, added cut offs on both the hot and cold so if I ever have any problems with this particular plumbing I can cut it off inside without cutting off all the water in my house. I can enjoy my weekend without worry about drip drip drip, you all know how annoying that can be, well, all is fixed and done now. When he left I could finally friken breath again! I see some postings on how expensive their, this or that quote was. These people went to school to rescue us from something we obviously know nothing about. Sure you can get the neighbor to fix it bc hes cheat, O I mean cheap, and will do it now, right this minute type of guy. but when you come home to a dam flood, where is he? No where to be found and your problem is worse than ever because why? what is the old saying? You get what you pay for. When you go to Star Bucks and get your iced coffee, do you complain bc its like how much these days? $add that up in a month. When you go get a burger, fries and drink, do you complain when you get your check and its 20 something dollars plus tip? Do you complain when you grab a water at the convenient store do you complain bc its an outrageous price? Every company no matter who it is these days have rent and employees taxes and EGGS to buy, kids in school and their needs, Oh and dont forget the upcoming wedding that you are happy to spend 10s of thousands of dollars on just to find you want a divorce 6 months later. If you want a good plumber, electrician, etc... someone professional that insures restful sleep when you go to be at night bc you know your house isnt going to be flooded bc uncle earl was cheap and screwed it up. There's a reason that we pay more, and yes sometimes a lot to fix things in our house, its our biggest investment in life/so our house doesnt flood or burn down, its not just bc we don't want to hear drip drip drip, its all about safety for us and yes sometimes our families. That comes at a price but it also comes with peace of mind and yes with a guarantee. I bitch about the price of eggs but I don't want to get some chickens, I might complain at times about the price of a plumber or electrician or other contractor, but I don't want to go to college to get a degree for one or the other but im certainly glad someone else did. Great service!! I had a plumbing emergency and called, what felt like, every plumber in Austin and was getting nowhere. Called Roger's and was met with a friendly rep who got me on the schedule asap. Marcus and Shane showed up promptly and were friendly and professional. They took the time to listen to my findings, quickly found the problem. Were very transparent on what they were doing and why. Once they found the problem, they stopped to show me what they found and then took the time to research the needed materials and made sure they had what they needed on the truck or what they needed to get. They provided clear estimates on the repair. Marcus gave multiple options on the repairs including pricing, warranty, labor etc. I felt absolutely no pressure to make a quick decision. They took the time to listen to my concerns and answered all my questions patiently. They were able to do the repairs very quickly, including removing dry wall, replacing piping, testing, cleaning and they even put the kitchen back together!! I can't say enough great things about Roger's, but especially Marcus and Shane. The level of service, professionalism and courtesy was unbelievable. Rogers was a Noritz tankless hot water heater recommended plumber. Eddie replaced our heater and did a great job. The heater stopped working a few weeks after install and Roger sent out Eddie to investigate. After 2 hours of investigating and a nearly $600 service charge the conclusion was a frozen pipe. Two hours and $600 was unreasonable ($300/hour) after spending $4,000+ for the hot water heater. I called and left a message for the owner to discuss the charges and never got a return call. If you like being overcharged for service and working with a company that doesn't care about their customers call Rogers Plumbing. If not call Abacus, they listen to their customers. read more

Roger's Plumbing should change their phone number to be 1-900. They make you pay $100 just to tell you how they'll screw you. No other plumbing company charged to deliver a quote (no diagnostics needed, just a simple replacement job). The quote I received was full of unneeded work, extra fees, and was overpriced for the jobs being requested. Little to no explanation was given on why their fees were needed (just used the quote "it's code"). Another plumber was able to see through their lies and came in with a quote 1/3 their proposal. Their entire model seems to be in getting naive boomers to pay for their double diamond platinum elite club, and coming back every year to rip them off. Avoid this business unless you like lighting money on fire. I'm glad I saved $5000 by not using Rogers. Too bad they have my $99 still. read more

Had them come out and provide a quote on three items. Installing sink faucet, changing out bath tub fixtures and installing under sink water Filter. The quote was absolutely ridiculous at 1800.00. Had my contractor come out and do the same job for 400. Would not have left a negative review if it wasn't for the 54 dollar fee to provide the quote. read more

They "fixed" my dripping faucet last March. Said it was under warranty. They have been back 7 times and made it worse most of them. Almost always late. Yesterday that claimed problem solved and it started dripping again almost immediately. Now I have another appt for an "estimate". So I guess warrantee doesn't really mean that. I don't know what it cost to have a valve on a kitchen sink fixed or have a new faucet installed that i supplied. But, I have learned that it is not $782.00 or anywhere around that figure. They were only here about 45 minutes. And while they were here they fixed a outside faucet (which, isn't in the price). I have learned from multiple people that the job should only have been about $150.00. I feel really stupid for letting them take me like this. It's going to take months to pay off my charge card. I noticed a leak in my kitchen sink and called around to get a plumber. The first 2 plumbing companies I called were not available in a timely manner. Roger's Plumbing was able to fit me in the next day, so of course I went with them. They showed up with a 2 man team and a big van full of plumbing equipment. It was basically a moving warehouse; anything they needed to repair any issues inside a home is stocked in that van. Both men were very professional and engaged us in conversation, explaining what caused the leak, what they were doing to fix it, and how to prevent it in the future. I will be calling Roger's Plumbing again in the future for my annual water heater cleaning. Highly recommend this company for all your plumbing needs. read more

UPDATE: After posting this review, Roger (the owner) contacted us. It was determined that miscommunication on the original call (what was/was not covered with original repair). He offered to fix the additional problems free of charge. He was very polite and accommodating. I appreciated his quickly contacting us and resolving the matter. OMG. Do NOT use Roger's Plumbing! During the stay-at-home period, we needed two toilets reset at the tank (bowl was fine). Now usually I can do this but I needed/wanted them done. Normally I use Bob Foster but he was ill so I called Roger's. $300 each to fix basically $50 worth of parts. But it needed to get done ASAP so we went ahead. Fast forward 3 weeks and the toilets are sporadically running like the tank has a slow leak. So we call Roger's. Should be covered, right? WRONG! $300 only covered some of the parts. They want another $300 per toilet to fix the tank seal. This time I'll do it myself. Lesson learned. read more

Our Moen Motion Sense kitchen faucet started leaking over the recent holiday weekend. Seems it was their "1'st" generation and the computer was bad. After speaking with Moen on Tuesday, I called Rogers and spoke with Roxanne to review what was going on. We scheduled a technician come out on Friday, as the new faucet was to be delivered on Thursday. When I learned that there was a delay with FedEx, I called Roxanne late Thursday & pushed the time out. Garrett came about around 1, and while FedEx had not yet arrived, he had the old faucet removed and then hung out until the delivery was made. He had the new faucet and "2nd generation" computer installed quickly. Garrett was so nice, efficient and explained all he was doing. Our dog is not keen on strangers, yet Garrett took time to win her over with lots of petting and speaking so kindly to her. Once again, Rogers has come to our rescue, and provided excellent customer service. Not only the technician, but also Roxanne who made a point of reaching out to me while we waited for the FedEx delivery and ensuring we'd have this fixed on Friday. Horrible attempts to upsell us on work we didn't need. A clogged drain ($400) turned into 'you should replace your disposal' for $700 and 'we can replace a pipe for $200' even though my husband can go get that PVC pipe for $8 at home depot. I feel terribly for any person who calls them and doesn't know a thing about plumbing. These guys were trying to get us to spend $2000+ for a bunch of other issues that weren't urgent when we just wanted to fix a clogged drain. Absurd. So much salesmanship, so much overt upselling. Roger's uses Straightforward Pricing(R) which basically means they come out and tell you how much something is going to be before they've even taken a look at the problem. They told me it would be $569 to find the problem whether it took 5 minutes or 5 hours. In addition, they were going to charge me an extra $569 because they had to go underneath my house (pier and beam). Working on a pier and beam house is easier than a slab because you have access to all the plumbing! I ended up paying $45 just to tell them no. Go with an hourly plumber. Roger's Plumbing is my go-to plumbers. I am a Realtor and it is pretty common to need a plumber either when preparing to sell a house or after a buyer has had a home inspection and problems are identified, so I have plenty of experience with them. They are consistently professional and courteous, and I trust them. They do quality work and that is what you want when it comes to such an integral system as plumbing. Their pricing is straight forward. Yes, with some repairs such as a leak under a slab foundation they cannot give a quote until they pinpoint the location where the repair is needed, and that is scary to some people, but the fact of the matter is, you need a repair done and homeowners insurance may pay for part of it if there is a good insurance policy. It has been my experience with Roger's that they come during the window of time I am told, and they call me when they are on the way. I read the other reviews and it looks like probably what happens is a couple of times a year there is a misunderstanding or scheduling error and people come on here and complain, but I am sure there are hundreds of times the company does an excellent job and people are satisfied and don't think to share the great review online. Especially since plumbing work is not exactly the type of thing you get excited about and want to tell everyone, like a great restaurant. Chris with Roger's Plumbing in Leander came out today to diagnose and fix low water pressure and broken handles in the shower. Chris showed up on time, was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and quickly discovered the problem and determined he had the parts and ability to fix it. He told us about the company, the pricing, the warranty, got our permission and went to work. In no time we had water pressure and new shower handles! Hurrah! We used another plumber a few months ago for the same problem. He was surly, rude, complained about having to drive so far, and did a poor job. He did not replace all the parts he claimed to have replaced and forgot to put set screws in the porcelain handles, which fell off and broke when he left. We were reluctant to call another plumber, but found Roger's Plumbing in Leander on Angie's list and decided to give him a try. Roger's Plumbing cost a bit more, but they did a great job, Chris was easy to work with, and they gave us a great warranty and a coupon for future work. Roger's Plumbing is a life saver. I call them for the routine stuff, but also the difficult stuff and they always come through for me, big job or little job, routine or difficult, When others disappoint, Roger saves the day. I know that they will get it done right and will always be straight up honest in their estimates and dealings. Whether the news is good or bad, they tell the truth and do right by you. After they have fixed something, you won't have to worry about it anymore. It will be done right. Very right. I've been using them since I first became a home owner in 1999, back when Roger's was just Roger and one truck. I bought a duplex on the east side that had a lot of plumbing problems, and Roger fixed them all. Since then I bought another old multifamily home, so I have four units that they work on, and that's a lot of plumbing. They don't mind if I watch them work and I have learned a few things about plumbing from watching them. They have plenty of work to keep them busy so they don't mind if I pick their brains for how to fix the simple DIY stuff myself. There are other good enough plumbers in town and sometimes I've had to use others because it was an emergency and Roger's could not get to it. When you are as good as Roger's, you are in demand and can't be everywhere at once. But that is the only reason I would hire anyone else, I always call Roger's first and I would not even consider hiring anyone else unless Roger's was totally backed up and not available. We hired a well known company to install our tankless water heater because we were unaware that Roger's also did those. Boy, that was a mistake. This other company was not honest. They left us with a big gas line mess that they would not fix. It was a difficult job. We called Roger's and they fixed it. They are like the cavalry, to the rescue. They even got the permit closed out for us, though that was the responsibility of the other company. I can't say that I enjoy having plumbing problems or spending money on pluming but it is always a pleasure to work with Rogers. Every single person on the team is friendly and professional. I always feel like they did right by me, they keep their word to the letter. So after all this glowing review, you must think this is not for real, too good to be true? No. I will say they are not the cheapest in town. You can hire one of the big companies and they may be cheaper, but the next time they come out, it will be a different crew and you don't know if the next guy is going to be good or not. I like that with Rogers, it is always the same people who I have come to know and you have a business relationship with them. That is worth extra to me. And sometimes they get backed up with work, but they will let you know if that is the case. They could hire more guys and get more trucks, to have people on standby, but quality goes down with that, in my opinion. They are the best and that's why they are busy. read more
