He is very easy to work with, extremely thorough, documents absolutely everything, explains things that might be unclear, knows all the pertinent building codes and conventions, and has a world of experience himself with construction. He was checking out a manufactured home, something new for us as we've always had stick frame and my husband built most of our buildings himself in his younger days. We were amazed at Harold's knowledge regarding the fine points of this type of housing. For example, he knew what timeframe certain changes were made in that industry with plumbing and siding and that's not exactly common knowledge. He took the time to inspect a garage associated with the site that was the responsibility of the landlord, and we then knew what repairs we needed to insist on prior to seriously considering our purchase of this home. Our final report was 46 pages long, including photos showing evidence of any problems, and he also provides a text quick summary which is very helpful. We got our report later the same day as the inspection. Issues are noted in their level of severity related to the condition of the home, and flagged as needing repair now or something that could wait. We adjusted our offer on the home based on his findings and our own observations and research, and have yet to see if we purchase it, but at least we haven't spent too much on a place that could end up being a money pit. We highly recommend Miller Home Inspection and expect to do business with them/him again.

Xavier was easy to get a hold of by phone and he sent over Nick to help with the estimate. The bid was very reasonable and the scope of work was in line with what we expected. They power washed the house a couple days early and noticed a little more scraping was needed than anticipated, which added a little time to the job. They also noticed a patch of stucco that needed repair. We authorized both things as extra work (hardly added anything to the total bill) and then they scraped, sealed, primed and painted. The house was completed in one week, the crew were friendly and warm, and we think the house looks great. Summary: nice people, quality job, reasonable price, great value. Horrendous service, atrocious attitude. Ilya was a pain in the butt from the start. He was…read moredifficult to talk to on the phone, because he talked over me & didn't seem to comprehend anything I was saying to him without my explaining it several times. After booking my appointment weeks in advance (he couldn't get me in sooner than that?), he was a COMPLETE NO-SHOW. Apparently, even my texting him earlier on the same day of that first missed appointment didn't make him realize that we had an appointment that day. After he didn't show, I called him, & he rescheduled for the very next day (why did it take him weeks to get me in before?). And then he canceled the SECOND appointment an hour or two before the appointment window was ending, so effectively, a no-show 2 days in a row. (I had taken 2 days off work for him.) He told me he "didn't do" the floor repairs I needed an estimate of, though he had scheduled me for exactly that in the first place, & prior to the FIRST missed appointment, he already had photos of my flooring. Then he never texted back after just telling me he wouldn't help me. His communication was consistently slow or absent. One of the worst parts was that when I wrote a complaint about him on Yelp, he had the nerve to reply & say he had never heard of me & that we had never done business together, not realizing I've got ALL the receipts--incoming & outgoing phone calls to his phone number, and texts showing exactly what he said to me & when he said it--he even signed his name to those texts. When I called him out on his outright lies, telling him I could prove it, he literally immediately deleted & rewrote his reply to me to be all sweet and apologetic, which REPLACED the answer where he basically called me a liar & said he had no idea who I was and that we had never been in contact. (He replied that to someone else awhile back, too. Makes me think that was a lie as well.) Ilya is a DOUBLE NO-SHOW, an outright liar, & a real piece of work. SUPER shady.
