Apparently, as a neighboring new customer, asking a couple of simple general questions about inspection fees and quotes of brakes & battery replacement really agitated the owner of this shop, since I have wasted his precious time to even speak with me, which was about 2-6 mins phone call!? I did not know that we as customers should've just kept our mouth shut and play dumb so that you can come up with whatever business wise excuses(inflation/shortages), or fancy numbers you throw at us. How could I even possibly put my car at this place with trusts, can't even imagine what would have happened if anything goes wrong with the parts/services installed, might as well put a sign says "consultation fee required" like lawyers and accountants! I have taken my modified 4Runner to Kevin and his team a few times now for various things. Sometimes shops are less inclined to dig into a modified car but Kevin did not skip a beat. On both occasions Kevin did fantastic work and was extremely reasonable. To add to my positive experience, he convinced me I did NOT need a full brake replacement as I assumed which saved me over $1k and he also uncovered some questionable work that another shop had done. He offered to fix that issue but also motivated me to reach out to the other shop and give them an opportunity to make it right which saved me another $300-400. Recommending KD Automotive for sure. Service manager Jason and owner Kevin were really warm and friendly folks. I had a really annoying under-carriage rattle on my car, and Jason was able to diagnose the problem straight away after a test drive and fix the problem in no time. I will NOT recommend this shop, it is not a BMW F chassis performance shop. As soon as I got in, I was told my 9 AM appointment would be at 9:40 AM or later. I asked where my exhaust was from a shop in California. Closed and sealed in the box how it should be. Great. After 15 minutes they pulled my car in because I had reclaimed that my appointment was at 9 AM. Also suggested if they don't have time to complete my appointment I will go else where, he proceeds to tell me he had a death in his family and he is having a hard day. I apologized. After the car is on the lift and box is open. Jason says that they will need the car for the whole day because they were not expecting electrical wire install- it's for my valvetronic system. I was surprised because I had told Kevin the owner of the business exactly what it was I was sending to them. I asked if they ever done this type of exhaust install they said no. I informed them I will take my exhaust and go to an actual BMW performance shop that has installed FI Valvetronic exhaust. Jason said he couldn't wait for me to leave. I recorded him on video and then he didn't say much else. This shop has no professionalism and not organized. If I make an appointment prior to coming in and also I ship my exhaust from California you should know what you are getting into. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you have a F Chassis BMW or value professionalism. read more

I've been going to KD Automotive since they started and I can say my confidence is still at the highest possible level. These guys just know how to repair and maintain cars and give you a heads up on what is needed and not needed (maybe even more important). I have three cars and they have done work on each one. For two of them it has been just regular maintenance and the other had more significant work. They are easy to communicate, no pressure and transparent on any costs. We even brought one of our cars in for a regular oil change and tire rotation a tad earlier to help out during the COVID outbreak. read more

What an amazing place. Owner Kevin runs a clean and honest shop. I had been to another shop to see why the cigarette lighter wasn't working (for electronics), and they said "buy a new ashtray". Easier said than done, as they are no longer made. Kevin took the time and found the frayed wire and fixed it. For a very fair price. Then when I picked up the car, there was a care package on my seat with much needed water bottles and snacks. Great email follow up as well. I will definitely be taking my car here again! read more

My ac went out yesterday on a Sunday. I spent Monday am on the phone calling around for service and thankfully landed on KD Automotive in Redmond. The owner Kevin said they could look at it today and try to diagnose it. The price was a fair price and even though it took more time to finally figure out the issues and repair it. Kevin and his team were able to and it was an unlike puzzle to solve with my 2003 "relic" but they did it and I am very grateful to him and his team for coming through and did not try to up sell me and was very honest explaining how they navigated the system testing different components until reaching the answer. So happy as temps reach the 90 mark again this week. Also thankful for the goodies they left for me in my car bottled water, snacks and mints and a chapstick ...nice touch. I highly recommend them. I dropped my 255K miles Corolla off at 3 pm for a bad starter and picked it up at 3 pm the next day. So far it works great with a very fast turnaround time. Very happy to get my car back so quickly. I even did an oil change with synthetic blend for much cheaper than JL or Greasemonkey. read more

They resolved several issues with my Chevy sonic commuter car in a timely manner that was resolved by the end of the day. He even offered to drive me anywhere if I needed it. Worst customer service ever ..Im on a trip Supporting the US NAVY at san diego navy base for 22 days. And my wife called me telling me the Mercedes have a weird noise coming from the engine bay ..I didnt want her to be in danger driving the car so I told her to stop by KD automotive (since it's less than a mile far) .so they can tell her if its dangerous or not ..I also offered to pay him only to tell me if its drivable or not .( didnt want him to repair it today) he said no I wont look at it ..thanks for making my wife cry since she have no one by her side .and she know nothing about cars.thanks for being kind losers .. read more
