I stopped into Dick's the other day for a can of Mace. I walk downtown daily and have had a few…read morealmost-altercations with drivers who don't understand they need to stop for pedestrians who are halfway across cross walks with the walk signal, so I wanted to arm myself in case I ever encounter an extra aggressive motorist. I used to have a can on hand when I worked in a fairly dangerous part of North Philly (that I never used), but that stuff expires after a few years, so it was time to refresh! When I walked in with my mom, we were immediately greeted and assisted with finding the Mace. They actually had a large selection of cans, which I thought was pretty random but nice. I chose the pink one without tear gas for $15 and was quickly on my way. The rest of the store seemed clean and well-designed, but I didn't stick around to browse. This location is in the Willow Lawn shopping center surrounded by a bunch of other chains, but parking was easy on Sunday. I'd return for sporting goods or some more Mace if needed in the future. Let's hope I never have to use it!

I knew my right foot was a little longer than my left but the scan affirmed that and that my left foot was a little wider. Checkout registers are available on both ends of the store, very convenient for customers exiting from two ends of the store. As I explored the store, found some really good World Cup merchandises. Some of them I had not seen before in other places. My family members also found some shoes they liked. The staff members were very helpful, assisting us with finding sizes and trying out the shoes. But some shoes and apparels seemed to be pricier or do not have discounts that the brand would have, ie: Adidas shoes were cheaper on their website than at Dicks.
