I wasn't super impressed with this place. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Mediterranean yummies, but the price and some of the flavors just didn't do it for me. I ordered the chicken breast plate. The chicken breast was absolutely delicious, very flavorful, because there is nothing worse than dry chicken! This was everything but that. The hummus just didn't taste right, please keep the hidden ingredients out of the hummus! Also they have an eggplant salad mix, eggplant isn't my favorite, so I can let that slide. If they ask if you want to upgrade from a regular salad to a greek salad for $1.50 more, don't do it. It wasn't anything special or worth the extra money. In other news, the employees that work here are all super super nice and very patient. Just because I didn't exactly enjoy some of the flavors the first time, doesn't mean I won't like something else. I definitely see a gyro wrap in my future. read more

Love my local kebab spot. With there being so many in the area, I always chose Kebab Daddy when I really want a good kebab meal to take home. It's great for family packs & they even have uncooked prepared meats so that you can do the grilling at home. They really came through NYE when we decided to stay in and get a family pack. Even though they were very busy, they told me to come on up and they would have one ready for me. In the 10 minutes it took me to get there, they had it all ready for me to go. Was perfect for a rainy NYE & I didn't have to cook. I neglected to talk about the food itself-what is wrong with me! Beef/Shish is great and chicken is very tender & moist. I am also including the message I received: They changed their "meat and supply fees" to a inflation supply cost and now a processing fee. I have been here a couple of times, both to get food for a group and for myself. In either case, the food has been very good. This time I had the lamb kebab in a basmati rice bowl. Unfortunately I ordered and paid for hummus which I did not get, but the lamb was outstanding. All the meat here is cooked excellently and is marinated wonderfully. The chicken and steak are also great. The side dishes are also really well done. Service is not particularly fast, so it is a good idea to call in the order in advance. Solid Mediterranean food in la Canada. There's no shortage of good Med food in this area as Seasoning Alley is about a minute walk down the street. And Luna Grill is only a 5 min drive away. I actually prefer the other 2 places more than Kebab Daddy but KD is good and worth checking out The tri tip beef shish plate was good. Meat is nicely seasoned and cooked well. The brown rice is actually quite excellent and one of the best side Rice's I've had from a Mediterranean joint. The lavash bread....Oof, now this was a complete throwaway. They'd be better off just getting some Costco pita bread in bulk and giving that out. The bread comes wrapped in foil making you think it's warm but it's not. It's room temp. It has no flavor or texture worthy of note. Just wasted calories and carbs spent on a bread that is more like an afterthought. If you drive down to Luna Grill and just get their pita and hummus you'll see there is no comparison. You get a side to pick....fries are fries and ok but with Med meals I like to get hummus. Their hummus isn't that great either. I mean it's not bad, just not as good as their competitors give you. Service here is good tho. The guys working here are all friendly. Cooked to perfection these all natural New Zealand lamb chops are tender and juicy with just the right combination of spices that literally melt in your mouth! 10/7/20 I wanted to update my review of 3 stars below. Within minutes of posting the review, John called me. He told me about their app - we have downloaded it, and will be ordering from there now on. Additionally, he gave me a credit (without me asking for it), and was diligent in fixing the mistake. In today's world - we are not asking for perfection. If someone makes a mistake that is fine - but they own up to it, and we move on. I appreciate John taking the time, to fix the mistake. Food is always great, and service is great. We often either get the luleh plates and kids burritos. In person food and service was fantastic. However two recent incidents make me write this review: 1) I ordered $140+ food through Grubhub last week for pickup. Service wasn't very nice. I walked up to counter and politely provided my name and order number. Counter person, no hi nothing, dismissive - " YOUR FOOD OVER THERE". Store was completely empty. It wouldn't have taken a minute to say hello how are you. 2) Today I had a delivery of over $150 also through grubhub. Delivery driver came and left the food. However, there was a coke/fries in the order ($4.75 I believe with the burrito). Coke wasn't provided. No receipt was in the bag. I am not here to complain about 1 coke. However, fact that it was missing from the order, doesn't suit very well. Before Covid, service was amazing. Since then, not sure what is happening, as I try to support my local business. I have been coming here for years and the quality of the meat is still excellent. As an armenian, I take my kebab very seriously and the kebab here is authentic and delicious. I also love the breakfast burritos. Since the pandemic started, i started buying more of the raw meats by the lb to make at home and my family loves having kabab nights. Minutes after leaving a review, the manager called me asking why I left a negative review. My review consisted of a couple dissatisfactions which what Yelp was for, right? Correct me if I am wrong. We got take out for a school fundraiser, and my expectations were low because often restaurants are overwhelmed and the food is late or the food is cooked too early and cold. But not at Kebab Daddy! The food was ready exactly on time and was perfectly cooked and delicious. Its not the cheapest place to eat, but the portions are very generous and the ingredients are high quality and fresh, so it's worth it! We had leftovers for lunch after the whole family ate. I loved the garlic lebni and all the kabobs we ordered (we got a variety along with the large family pack). We came for the fundraiser, but we will be back. read more

Kebab Daddy was recommended to me by a friend when I started working in the area and has quickly become one of my favorites. Located behind the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at the Honolulu/Oceanview intersection, the restaurant is well organized with a station for pick-ups, fridges for deli products/marinated meats, and charming photographs of older generations of the family business. The staff is warm and friendly, happy to give recommendations/suggestions, and answer any questions. John, the owner, has high standards for quality and guest experience. I made an order online, but wasn't able to pick it up for a couple hours and forgot to call and let them know(which was completely my own fault). When I stopped by to pick up my order, John let me know he had gotten rid of it as he very much wanted me to enjoy my food fresh and hot. He had memorized my order and immediately started remaking it, and had it out of the kitchen within 5 minutes. His dedication to his food and customers has me so appreciative and I love supporting his business. My go-to order used to be the beef lule or chicken lule plate with a garlic spread and lavash,m. The beef and chicken lule is consistently juicy and well-flavored, while the garlic spread is fresh and balanced. My current obsession are the pork belly and sujuk (armenian ground beef sausage) breakfast burritos with added rice. These are some bulky burritos, so they last me at least two meals. The pork belly has a beautiful char while still maintaining tenderness, while the hash browns provide a crispy bite and great texture. They also include pickled vegetables on the side that balances out the hefty burrito with light acidity. Again, I can't recommend this business enough. I have ordered three chicken plates for $15.95 and ended up paying $65 for three plates! And I didn't even eat in there, I just came to pick up my food. Be very aware of the amount they try to charge you at the end. A guy who I talked with, told me they added this fee because of inflation?! I couldn't believe what kind of excuse he gave me.
