Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 I would gatekeep this place if I could. Absolutely fantastic every single time. Once you get your kebab it may look like there's not much food, but I get pretty full just 3/4 of the way! I've tried the Lula Beef, Beef, Pork and Lamb. They are all delicious. If you like lamb, get the lamb. My most recent order was a little chewy, but still tasted delicious. The lula was so juicy, i cried from how unbelievable it is, and the vegetables are so evenly spread out. It takes about 10 minutes for them to get 2 kebabs out, and I say it tastes better with a side of coca cola! MUST come!!

Kara Bala Street Kebab Menu ! This place is amazing !

We were in the mood for some late night munchies after a long days work. Fast food is it something we are into at all. Our favorite Street Taco spot by Harbor Freight and Pet Smart next to the Foothill Foodmart was not there that day. We drove down Foothill Blvd and saw Kara Bala BBQ. Essentially Street Shish Kabob. There was a large group of people on the side of the road eating sandwiches. We thought well it's packed, let's give it a shot. We were Blown Away at how good this Armenian khorovats spot was. Ruben & Co Grilled the BBQ while we waited. Once the meat was cooked he confirmed the Shish Kabob rarity. I had mine medium well, my wife asked for well done. He rolled out 2 fresh pieces of Lavash Bread and added greens and some jalapeños with some really taste sauces. He wrapped the sandwich up which came with a choice of soda. We had them in the car and they were super taste! I've hit this place up 3 times in the last 2 weeks. I also tried the Luleh Kabob which was excellent. There menu is pretty simple, all wraps Chicken Kabob Beef Kabob Lamb Kabob Pork Kabob (Shoulder Cut) Luleh Kabob Topped with your choice of Veggies. FRESH FRESH FRESH

    Luleh Kebab

The Food here is so Darn good! Had a late night craving for kebab and glad I came across Kara Bala! I ordered the Luleh and my wife ordered the Pork. The meats are Juicy and tender very well seasoned and you get a lot for what you pay for when it comes to kebab sold on the street. The setup is pretty cool for a small little setup these guys are hustling and busting out order after order. Their counter top where they prep their food is clean and Lit very well making it very enjoyable. Customer service is great too! Definitely will be back to try the rest. I'd suggest calling in your order. Tip***They accept cash and Zelle only.

We're back again! Trying the meat beef today. All the meats are grilled over charcoal, adding that smokey flavor. Smells good, tastes better

For around $10, you're getting a burrito that's practically the size of your face and packed with flavor. The carne asada is the star of the show. It has an amazing char, is perfectly seasoned and tastes fresh every single time. The atmosphere is great too. Good music, friendly staff, and a hardworking crew that always seems to have a smile on their faces. They have a self serve toppings bar with plenty of options, and while some people may be hesitant about that at a taco stand, everything is always clean and well maintained. I've eaten here many times and have never had an issue. The sauces are absolutely fire. The guacamole sauce, spicy green salsa and red hot sauce all bring something different to the table. Nothing tastes old or like it's been sitting around. Everything tastes fresh and is made with care. This has become our go to spot. We've tried a lot of taco stands and food trucks throughout Los Angeles, and honestly, nothing else has come close.

There are few places where you can get a stacked, hearty meal for just $12. The guys here are nice and they work hard to keep the line moving the best that they can. However the line can get long. The chipotle chicken is great. I wish they'd expand the options, but I understand that it would increase the pick up times and the lines would get a little longer.

But I had several issues with my experience. - His work station was disorganized, so he took quite a while to complete the orders especially when there's a line of people. It took almost 30 minutes just to get to my order. - Unsanitary conditions; He was touching everything including money then touched the spuds without switching gloves! - I came here 2-3 hours into their service and he ran out of multiple ingredients and condiments. - Another issue I saw was that the employee had half a potato from the guys before me and instead of covering it and keeping it hot, he left it open for however long. My girlfriend not knowing, said her food overall tasted tough instead of soft and ultimately got a stomachache as well. Overall, it wasn't worth the hype.

I kept hearing about Miya Miya from friends, so of course I had to go see what the hype was about…read more It's basically a food stand set up outside the Edge apartments in Santa Monica, kind of like those late-night taco stands you see all over LA. Super casual setup, but you can tell it's popular. I think they're planning to open a full shop eventually. Parking wasn't too bad, just metered street parking nearby. We got there around 3:30 pm on a Friday... and there was already a line. They don't even open until 4:30. One of the workers came and told us it would be about an hour wait once they opened, so we decided to stick it out. I brought a book, my husband had his games and stuff to study, so we were prepared to hang out for a bit. We didn't get our food until 6:30 pm so yeah, definitely longer than expected. Everything is made fresh right after you order, so even once you finally get to the front, there's another 10 to 20 minute wait while they assemble everything. Also, each person can only order 2 shawarmas, which makes sense because everyone's already been waiting forever and goes all in. The owner was very friendly hospitable and appreciative that everyone was waiting for their food. The staff were upbeat happy , listening to music and vibing while cooking everything. We ended up getting 4 chicken shawarmas (that's the only option) "Yaz way" which comes with spicy garlic sauce and Jordanian pomegranate molasses, plus the beef tallow fries topped with fresh za'atar. And honestly... it was worth it. The shawarma was SO good. Like 11/10. The chicken was super tender and juicy, packed with flavor. They dip the top of the wrap in extra garlic sauce and pomegranate molasses, so your first bite is insanely good... messy in the best way, dripping with sauce, tangy, garlicky, a little spicy. And somehow the last bite is just as good. The garlic sauce actually has a real kick to it, not overwhelming, but enough to wake up your taste buds. And the pomegranate molasses? That was the star for me. It adds this tart, slightly sweet flavor that cuts through the richness perfectly. It's such a unique combo and works so well. The fries were also really good, crispy and savory with that beef tallow flavor, and the za'atar on top gave it a nice herby finish. There's some seating nearby in the apartment complex area by Gelson's, so you're not just standing around trying to eat. I ate one shawarma there and saved the other for the next day, and it was still delicious, which says a lot. Would I go back? Yes... but definitely not for a 3-hour wait again If the line is like 20 to 40 minutes, I'm there. But for a first-time experience, it was fun, worth it, and honestly kind of part of the whole LA food hype vibe.

My friends and I all agreed this was decently good shawarma, but NOT worth the ridiculous 1 hour 40…read moremin wait time. The workers could have easily served customers faster or given people a text notification when the order was ready for pick up, but to be honest it looked extra slow to build up the line/fake hype. The wrap itself was hella skinny and needed much more garlic sauce than the small dollop they put at the very top. Chicken was pretty dry after several bites. Even if you don't order fries (yum) or the yaz way sauce, they'll give you a little bit anyways to sample for free. Overall, save your money and time... it was not worth the wait whatsoever. We observed the faces of people who got their orders and no one looked happy eating. The line is only so long because their marketing tactic is pushing out the orders incredibly slowly.
