I came in on 11/11/22 at 2:00pm after coming here for years. I always order the same thing. Sometimes the tomatoes or onions are cut different, whatever that's fine. I order my salad. It comes out and it didn't have my dressing, so I asked for it. The waitress at the register gives me attitude saying it's already on the salad. I said hmm I never asked for it on the salad. Mind you, not once since I've been coming here has the dressing came on my salad as it comes out. So she goes in the back starts rambling, comes back out and just looks at me. I'm like uh the dressing? She tells me that it's already on there. I repeat that I didn't ask for it on there. So she's like well I don't know what to tell you because it's already on there. The cook then puts the dressing on the counter. She grabs it and slams it down on the counter. I told her well that was very rude of you. She's a little girl so of course she doesn't know how to handle situations with customers. But this little girl had some major attitude smh. Do better. I placed a catering order for down the street through ez cater. I had received confirmation that the order was placed and confirmed 24+ hours in advance. The order was to be delivered 11:45. Come 12 the office reached out-asking about delivery. I immediately called snd the restaurant claimed they didn't see it in the system. They then proceeded to say it would be delivered in 40 mins. I called back an hour later -to check in. The staff told me that it would take another 40 mins to an hour. Absolutely ridiculous. My food was finally delivered at 2:30. I asked to speak with a a manger and was told he was not in and unknown when he would return. I'm sure the restaurant has good food but I will never be using them again for my catering needs. read more

Our family definitely enjoys eating here. It's something different from the typical hamburger or Mexican food that you see on every corner in town. Can't go wrong with the kabob plates. If you don't know what the different foods are on the menu, the staff has always been very helpful in explaining what the different items are. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars is because getting ahold of them to order ahead is sometimes difficult. The wait time seems a little long too, but I guess that means at least the food is fresh! read more

The so called manager is rude, and wants to argue with a customer whether a sauce was given or not and says cant accommodate and then laugh. Wow over a sauce?? So with this kind of behavior in business I guess they don't need to have customers if they are so quick to be rude and just don't care. Its nice to have mediterranean food in madera, I ordered the chicken kebab with rice pilaf and salad. The chicken looked dry and it was very salty, the salad was really soggy. The place looked clean and it was nice and cool but the flies were a bit bothersome. So overall I give them a 1 star for effort. read more

My husbands favorite place for takeout. It's healthy proteins don't make you feel like a slug after. The fresh salads, hummus is great, & the rice delicious. I'm a fan of Stuffed Grape leaves and if they aren't sold out for they day you can bet I'm bringing some home. My kids love this place too and I've dined in once or twice but I'm usually grabbing it on my way home on a night I just don't have time to cook. We're staying at La Quinta for the weekend and this is the closest restaurant available. I stopped by, for what I thought would be a quick order, but instead my order took over 20 min. A simple chicken kabob entree and kid's meal. When I finally decided to get up and asked what was taking so long, I realized my food had been sitting on the countertop for quite some time. I visited this location last night. Ordered two combos. I only received partial order. The person who took my order failed to let me know that they did not have any pilaf rice. So they decided to just hand me a soggy salad. Which was nasty by the way. I ordered an extra side of hummus which I never received along with the extra pita bread I ordered. It's a total rip off to have spent over $35 for five pieces of chicken and a soggy salad. I called to let them know because I found it to be a little ridiculous. Not bad for a place like this in Madera. The food wasn't dry at all because sometimes places like this it's either a hit or miss. The only downfall is the parking. The parking lot is small so there's not a lot of parking spaces and this place is pretty packed for lunch. But it is worth it though. read more

We arrived towards the end of their day, in fact we were the last people to order. Our daughter is a vegetarian and the menu had a large array of vegetarian options. Unfortunately, everything our daughter asked for was sold out, at least five items one would find in any kebab shop. Our daughter ended up settling for some kind of beans in a sauce and pitta bread with salad. I ordered a gyro and my husband ordered shawarma. We took it to go. When we got home we looked at each other as the portions were so small and the price had been pretty big, over $40.00 So hey... hopefully the taste makes up for the price? They make a mess up from time to time, and the drive through line is pretty much a joke considering how long it takes and how little room there is. Aside from that the food is legit, even if some of the plates and salads can get a little pricey. I'm in town for work all the time for 3-4 days at a time and will eat here at least twice for lunch and dinner, most of the time take out. read more

I used to love their food. I think they might have gotten a new chef because I ordered a combo plate and my chicken was raw! I called to let them know that the food was raw and the lady who answered the phone put me on hold and said she would talk to the chef. When she got back on the line she offered a refund if I brought the food back. I had already thrown it away. So I just told her to tell the chef that he's not cooking the meat throughly and that someone is going to get sick. Instead she rushed me off the phone and said thank you. The food is not that great. the falafel I had lacked seasoning/flavor and might even be frozen, which might be why my first batch was fried too long and I couldn't even cut it with the knife. My bill was high at $19 and I only ordered the falafel Greek salad (lacked flavor too), came with pita (no flavor), side of falafel and a drink. The sauces lack flavor as well. Honestly if folks in Madeira have a chance to experience Mediterranean food somewhere else( tri-valley, Bay Area) I don't see those folks coming back here. In short: the food needs a bit of work. I've been to this place a few times because of its convenient location and my laziness to make lunch. The burger is okay, and they have a decent chicken salad... but that's about where it it ends. One of my favorite things to eat whenever I visit a place that serves Mediterranean food is a GOOD Falafel sandwich. So I had one here. Not only was the falafel sandwich the messiest thing I had ever eaten (Sauce EVERYWHERE), but the Falafel, frankly, tasted like dirt. I felt like I had a mouthful of dirt, juju sauce, and stale pita. I have them another chance with another one of their wraps. Their Chicken Shawarma Sandwich tasted a little better, but it was still a mess. Be sure to grab a fork and a ton of napkins if you plan on eating any of their sandwiches. Their plates are okay. Something about the chunks of meat or spices is off. I couldn't quite say what it is. This place is convenient for where it is located, and the service is okay... I'll give them that... But until some adjustments are made to the food... I'd recommend The Broilers in Fresno if you can afford to make the drive. read more

We stopped by here on our drive back from Yosemite. Thank the gods we found this place because we were starving and all the other places in the area looked so shady. This is a large, clean establishment with fair prices. I ordered the gyro platter for about $8. It came with tzatziki sauce + hummus + pita + rice + meats + veggies. Quality was pretty fresh although the meat slices were pretty thin. Overall... I probably won't be swinging by this town again. But for all those who drive by and need a bite to eat, you should definitely consider this place. read more
