The service was incredible! Staff were super friendly. The sodas come in a LARGE cup. I loved my dish. Word of caution for the people that don't like tomatoes/onions, it comes with a bit more than my partner would have liked but I was fine with it! Would come back if I'm in this area again. The restaurant had a cute, small town feel to it- a lot of people knew each other.

First time ordering a meal to go from here. I've eaten here several times and really enjoy most everything I've ordered. The only thing that keeps me from coming more often is the location since its kind of far from me and that they close fairly early. I'm not sure if I'll order to go next time since I really enjoy their fattoush salad and this time it didn't seem as fresh as it usually does.... also the tabbouleh appetizer was better at the restaurant. But the combo kabob plate was perfect... delicious, fresh, and plentiful. I'm sure I'll be back. This restaurant has been around for as long as I can remember and is a solid choice for Mediterranean food here in town.

After working in the downtown area for the last 15 years, I've come here many times. Their food is always on point, but today was so disappointing. My coworkers and I ordered food to go, but then when we picked it up, we noticed we had enough time to sit down and eat there. The owner told us that we can't expect to get food to go and eat it there. Why would I support an establishment that won't let me eat their own food at the table. I will be sure to share this experience with my hundreds of coworkers. Bad service will not be tolerated, regardless of how good the food is.

Wonderful food in good portions at this cute restaurant. I have both picked up orders and dined in a number of times. Friendly, attentive, and accommodating service. Unfortunately, our recent visit was an exception because our server had only checked on us shortly after we were served, and she was never seen by us again. Likely just a one-time fluke, so we will return for the food and delicious garlic sauce. Hoping for a better experience in the near future.

If I didn't love this place so much, I would subtract a point for them ONLY being open on the weekdays, for such a short period... but, they deserve the 5 stars! That's how good they are... they only need to be open for a few hours a day, and closed on the weekends! Super friendly staff, never had an issue. Someone usually stands at the front to happily greet us and sees to it that we are seated promptly. There are a lot of available seating, nice and clean, and they stay busy, pushing great service in and out the door... but, you never actually feel like they are rushing you to leave. My friends and I love to come here any chance we get, and that's rare. I am a creature of habit. When I like something, I usually stick to it. Why fix what isn't broken? I always order the Lebanese Chicken and Rice with the Fattoush salad. I absolutely love their rice pilaf (I would gladly take half the chicken, double the rice), and their garlic sauce is the icing on the cake. Sure is potent but so damn good! Not to mention, they recently starting serving a spicy sauce that is just as good! Only bad out of this dish? Garlic breath and black peppers between my teeth from the salad... lol. I've also tried their hummus and the Baba Ghanouj... both with their pita bread. Two thumbs up. Great appetizers to share. Not to mention their Baklava. I almost never have room for dessert when I come here but I was able to fit it in at least once. Yum! I love Baklava. If you've never been here, definitely give them a try! Do not take it to go. Your first experience should be there-- hot, fresh, and delicious!

This food is stellar. They don't allow modifications to any plates, but they know what they're doing. The seasoning was amazing on the meats and the waiters were very nice. The only downside was that the tables are really close together so we didn't really have any privacy for our conversations. Overall, 8/10, I'll definitely be coming back here!

This has been my favorite Mediterranean restaurant for DECADES!!!! It has the most delicious white garlic sauce you've ever had or will find anywhere around. Their rice is moist and delicious. Everything is always fresh and hot and ever so tasty. I've been to so many other Mediterranean style restaurants and have liked some but none come close to this place. If you're ever in downtown Fresno stop here for lunch. Dont let the outside fool you. It may look an older not to impressive restaurant from the street but what matters is the wonderful staff, lean and spacious inside, and the fantastic kitchen staff. This place has been her 30+ years, and hopefully so many more years.

When at work we love to order from this place. Chicken was tender and spicy! Portions are huge, and garlic sauce was amazing. Definitely worth a try!

I have had this food for take out many times. A lot of the companies I have worked for have catered this spot before and i've always enjoyed it. My coworkers took me out to eat to celebrate the time we had spent together. I ordered the beef plate that came with grilled vegetables, rice, pilaf, and pita. I ordered some of their iconic garlic sauce on the side. As soon as I cut into one piece of the beef, it was bright red and did end up sending it back. I normally am OK with some red and pink in my meat, but it was bright red and only cooked on the outside. Our server was great and she quickly took my plate away and brought me back a new one which was a little pink and perfectly cooked. However, I will note that I believe the manager or somebody who is working on book tracking was sitting right next to me at the next table and heard that I was having an issue with my food. He turned over and kind of looked at me and never helped me find the server which was a little upsetting for me since we were all on a time crunch for lunch.

I use to ROCK with MG in the early 2010's. Then the chicken was so juicy and tender. I was in the neighborhood and called in an order for chicken pita. I asked for no rice. Person who took my order said "extra veggies?" And I said yes. Picked up my order and noticed it was more than I expected. When I looked at receipt I was charged $1.50 for "extra veggies". Had person said it would be an extra charge, I would have declined and said no rice. Idk if no rice and extra veggies was cutting into their produce purchase but it was not worth it. Onto the pita, the large pita have five pieces of DRY HARD CHICKEN. Yes I counted. They drowned it in sauce I'm guessing to mask the dry chicken. Not worth the $17 and some change.

Med Grill is a must eat place downtown! They are everything you want: fast, but kind service and AMAZING food. You can order nothing wrong here, but I would suggest getting a side of their garlic or spicy garlic sauce.

My husband and I actually started coming here because we received a gift certificate on our wedding day, so every visit has always been meaningful to us. Unfortunately, our most recent visit completely changed how I feel about this restaurant. Our waitress was Brenda (a middle-aged Caucasian woman with glasses). I want to be clear about who served us because my receipt also listed the name Brenda, and I would hate for another employee to receive this review by mistake. We were seated fairly quickly even though it was a very busy night and the restaurant was full. I want to say upfront that I completely respect how hard servers work, and I understand busy nights happen. However, after sitting for quite a while without anyone taking our order, I politely told Brenda that we were ready. I am diabetic and was not feeling well, so the wait was starting to affect me. Her response was, "Sorry, we're really busy tonight and there are only three of us waitressing." I understood that they might be short staffed, but at the very least she could have taken our drink order. Instead, she continued cleaning tables and serving other customers. I watched four different tables get seated after us and receive drinks, salads, and appetizers before we even placed our order. As someone who has been coming here for years, I have never felt so uncomfortable or overlooked in this restaurant. In 2026, no customer should feel that way anywhere. When our food finally came, everything arrived at once -- our hummus, salad, and entrée -- which made the experience feel rushed and poorly handled. When I asked Brenda for more napkins, she never returned to our table. We eventually had to go to the register ourselves to pay because she never brought our check. Before leaving, I explained to her how the situation made me feel. She responded with several explanations about being busy and short staffed, but that was never the real issue. The issue was the way we were treated. She forgot who we were all night but when it came to pay my tab, she definitely knew what table we were sitting at because her response was. I'll get your tab for table 3.. The food was amazing as it has always been, but sadly the service we received completely ruined the experience. After nearly nine years of coming here, this will unfortunately be my last visit.

This original location remains my recommended spot for Mediterranean food. Many Mediterranean…read morerestaurants in Fresno County are Armenian-owned, while only a small handful--like this family-run restaurant--specialize in Lebanese cuisine. Lebanese food is widely considered among the best expressions of Mediterranean cooking due to its vibrant use of fresh ingredients, particularly herbs, lemon, garlic, and olive oil, along with a strong emphasis on healthy, plant-based, and grilled dishes. It offers diverse, shareable, and nutrient-dense options such as tabbouleh, hummus, and falafel, making it both flavorful and nutritious. I always enjoy dining at Golden Grill because they exemplify Lebanese cuisine so well. Their dishes highlight fresh herbs like mint and parsley, along with garlic and lemon juice, rather than relying heavily on spices. The result is a light, refreshing, and aromatic flavor profile that feels both vibrant and balanced. The kebabs are excellent. The grilled cubes of beef, chicken, and kafta (ground beef and lamb) skewers are flavorful, tender, and juicy, topped with herbs and grilled to perfection. They carry a subtle smokiness and savory aroma, and the meats are beautifully charred with vibrant color. Their pita and saj sandwiches are also very well done. Each sandwich is warm and carefully assembled, forming a sturdy pocket filled with high-quality ingredients. They combine savory meats (or falafel and vegetables), creamy sauces, and crunchy pickles and onions into a balanced bite. The bread holds generous fillings without collapsing while still being tender enough to bite through easily. The pocket opens cleanly, creating the perfect pouch for the ingredients. For a small restaurant with limited seating that appears to receive many to-go orders, the presentation for dine-in guests is especially thoughtful. The dishes are served on clean white ceramic plates and trays, with the food carefully arranged and portions balanced. It is simple yet elegant and visually appealing. Golden Grill also captures the Lebanese mezze-style dining experience. As someone of Korean heritage, I appreciate this approach, since it is similar to how Korean meals are served with many shared dishes that provide variety in every meal. Some of the shared plates include Lebanese staples like hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, and fresh flatbread. Everything here tastes fresh and well-prepared, with distinct textures and aromatic flavors. The signature entrées come with two cold appetizers. The hummus is silky smooth, a velvety blend of garbanzo beans and tahini that almost melts in your mouth. The baba ghanouj is creamy, garlicky, and finished with olive oil. The tabbouleh is bright and balanced with lemon juice, garlic, and a generous drizzle of olive oil that ties together the citrusy and earthy flavors. The restaurant itself is clean, with tables and chairs wiped down quickly after guests leave. Service is friendly, welcoming, and helpful when placing orders. Prices are also reasonable, especially considering many competing Mediterranean restaurants do not place the same emphasis on presentation or on creating a mezze-style dining experience at no additional cost. While some may prefer other Mediterranean cuisines, I personally enjoy the fresh, light, and diverse flavors that Lebanese food offers. Golden Grill's citrus-forward dishes and extensive mezze options make it one of my favorite Mediterranean spots.
