Mediterranean food is my absolute favorite, and this is hands down one of my favorite restaurants! I've been coming here for over three years, and they have never disappointed me. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is always friendly, and I'm greeted and seated quickly every time I visit. The food comes out fresh, hot, and consistently delicious. One of the things I love most is how generous the portions are. The plates are so big that my boyfriend and I will sometimes share a meal, and we still leave satisfied. My go-to order is the chicken shawarma plate with Fattoush salad, hummus, and warm pita bread--it's absolutely incredible every single time. If you're looking for authentic Mediterranean food with excellent service, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to go. Loved my dish! I got the Shwarma with rice pilaf and they added a spicy garlic sauce along with tahini. It is by far the best Mediterranean food in the area. I also have to say they had the best hummus as well. I do wish they had homemade pita bread but that was the least of my worries. The service was super friendly and the ambiance was casual. Part of the restaurant felt like you were outside but on the inside. You'll see. I also tried the salmon that my friend had. That was phenomenal. I am coming back soon to try everything!! This time I tried the Kafta Lula Kebob. The rice is always delicious, and I enjoy the vegetables, though I wish they were cooked a bit more. The meat itself was okay--it lacked a bit of flavor and was slightly dry, but when paired with the spicy garlic sauce it was really delicious. Service is okay. The servers are attentive and nice, though not overly friendly. Overall, I would still choose this spot over Mediterranean chains because of the authenticity and quality of their dishes. read more

First time ordering a meal to go from here. I've eaten here several times and really enjoy most everything I've ordered. The only thing that keeps me from coming more often is the location since its kind of far from me and that they close fairly early. I'm not sure if I'll order to go next time since I really enjoy their fattoush salad and this time it didn't seem as fresh as it usually does.... also the tabbouleh appetizer was better at the restaurant. But the combo kabob plate was perfect... delicious, fresh, and plentiful. I'm sure I'll be back. I really like the choices for breakfast and you can't beat $17 for all you can eat breakfast I've been here a few times and every time that I go, it's always really clean. After working in the downtown area for the last 15 years, I've come here many times. Their food is always on point, but today was so disappointing. My coworkers and I ordered food to go, but then when we picked it up, we noticed we had enough time to sit down and eat there. The owner told us that we can't expect to get food to go and eat it there. Why would I support an establishment that won't let me eat their own food at the table. If I didn't love this place so much, I would subtract a point for them ONLY being open on the weekdays, for such a short period... but, they deserve the 5 stars! That's how good they are... they only need to be open for a few hours a day, and closed on the weekends! Super friendly staff, never had an issue. Someone usually stands at the front to happily greet us and sees to it that we are seated promptly. There are a lot of available seating, nice and clean, and they stay busy, pushing great service in and out the door... but, you never actually feel like they are rushing you to leave. My friends and I love to come here any chance we get, and that's rare. I am a creature of habit. When I like something, I usually stick to it. Why fix what isn't broken? I always order the Lebanese Chicken and Rice with the Fattoush salad. I absolutely love their rice pilaf (I would gladly take half the chicken, double the rice), and their garlic sauce is the icing on the cake. Sure is potent but so damn good! Not to mention, they recently starting serving a spicy sauce that is just as good! Only bad out of this dish? Garlic breath and black peppers between my teeth from the salad... lol. I've also tried their hummus and the Baba Ghanouj... both with their pita bread. Two thumbs up. Great appetizers to share. Not to mention their Baklava. This food is stellar. They don't allow modifications to any plates, but they know what they're doing. The seasoning was amazing on the meats and the waiters were very nice. This has been my favorite Mediterranean restaurant for DECADES!!!! It has the most delicious white garlic sauce you've ever had or will find anywhere around. Their rice is moist and delicious. Everything is always fresh and hot and ever so tasty. I've been to so many other Mediterranean style restaurants and have liked some but none come close to this place. If you're ever in downtown Fresno stop here for lunch. Dont let the outside fool you. It may look an older not to impressive restaurant from the street but what matters is the wonderful staff, lean and spacious inside, and the fantastic kitchen staff. The salad itself seemed like it had been sitting in the dressing for far too long, resulting in soggy, wilted vegetables that completely lacked the fresh, crisp texture you'd expect. Family owned business with great customer service and food. Came here to place a catering order and we were helped by the amazing manager to figure out what best to order for a big group (20). We ended up going with the family style dish which came packed well plenty of food and amazing portion. While there we were offered a plate, drink and dessert on the house as he found out we had traveled far for meetings and had would be on the road. This was totally by surprise and by far very generous. The food was very tasty ! Amazing garlic sauce and spicy sauce that come on the side. The Baklava was nicely flaky and chewy. For the catering I got to try the bread and hummus which were all amazing. The staff helped load up the car, and when they realized they forgot to pack the sauce, they drove 15 mins and delivered it. I have had this food for take out many times. A lot of the companies I have worked for have catered this spot before and i've always enjoyed it. My coworkers took me out to eat to celebrate the time we had spent together. I ordered the beef plate that came with grilled vegetables, rice, pilaf, and pita. I ordered some of their iconic garlic sauce on the side. As soon as I cut into one piece of the beef, it was bright red and did end up sending it back. I normally am OK with some red and pink in my meat, but it was bright red and only cooked on the outside. Our server was great and she quickly took my plate away and brought me back a new one which was a little pink and perfectly cooked. However, I will note that I believe the manager or somebody who is working on book tracking was sitting right next to me at the next table and heard that I was having an issue with my food. I use to ROCK with MG in the early 2010's. Then the chicken was so juicy and tender. I was in the neighborhood and called in an order for chicken pita. I asked for no rice. Person who took my order said "extra veggies?" And I said yes. Picked up my order and noticed it was more than I expected. When I looked at receipt I was charged $1.50 for "extra veggies". Had person said it would be an extra charge, I would have declined and said no rice. Idk if no rice and extra veggies was cutting into their produce purchase but it was not worth it. Onto the pita, the large pita have five pieces of DRY HARD CHICKEN. Yes I counted. They drowned it in sauce I'm guessing to mask the dry chicken. Not worth the $17 and some change. read more

We came here because my coworker said his friend used to work here. He also stated that they are always busy during lunch. Sure enough when we got there for lunch, we had a hard time finding parking. Everything on the menu was run off the mimm stuff that you can find at any Arab restaurant. I was hoping that they would have some of the uncommon food like meat pie, cheese pie, Kibeh, etc... there was none of that. I was still hopeful that the food with this amazing. It wasn't. Stopped by here for lunch on our way back to LA from Yosemite. This place has pretty limited hours - lunch time only on weekdays. It is a tasty and hearty meal after eating only camp food for a few days! We've tried a few things - their lebanese chicken, shish (lamb) kabobs, and beef kabobs. The kabobs were our favorite with the slight edge going to the lamb since it is priced only a smidge more vs the beef. The garlic sauce was amazing!! The veggies and rice were a bit underdone, not sure if it is due to the speed at which the food came out to us (~10 min?). The service is friendly and portions are generous. The dine-in area is pretty large and they seem well-staffed. Clean bathrooms. Parking looks like it can be challenging because it is in a strip mall with a small lot but there's some street parking too. We usually show up close to their closing time so never had an issue with parking. The location is particularly convenient if you need to hop back onto the 41S on your way out. read more

This place is a staple in the downtown area for consistency in flavors, portions, and variety of options. I usually adore this place! I almost always get food to-go, but with two other co-workers, we chose to dine in for an early weekday lunch. It was a bit off the mark to be honest, and that is frustrating because like I said...it was always a safe bet. Our meals came, after quite awhile, and the lunch crowd hadn't hit yet. That surprised us, the wait. The server did check on us a couple times throughout our visit. When the food arrived at our table...the pilaf didn't taste fresh as usual, a little dry, the combo kebab wasn't the same- presentation & flavors, and that the plates got smaller. I ordered a vegetarian plate, and in all the past visits, things used to be presented with care. Things were piled atop, not all were fresh, and the bulgur was in a form so tight, & not very appetizing. Granted it is essentially a sampler platter, but it was like thrown in a way too small plate for the amount of food. One of the main disappointments was that the falafels were so doused in sauce, I couldn't even access the falafel themselves. So on my plate, I basically had a few bites of the hummus, baba ganoush, fatoush, spaghetti salad, & tabouli. I had regular pita and the fried pita, they were ok. The server did split our check and we were able to pay right then and there. Overall- we ate, got full...(but not content & satisfied if ya know what I mean), had leftovers, but it definitely wasn't the same as the years and years of consistency across the board. I will try them sometime again, in hopes it was just an off day- but if I want complete satisfaction for a delish Mediterranean Meal, I may think twice before making it one of my top choices. For over a decade, every time I visit Fresno, I make it a priority to visit this establishment at least once during my stay. My go-to meal is the Lula Lavash and I substitute the sides with a fatoush salad. Always hits the spot. They have always done their best to keep their food and service consistant, which a huge plus. My most recent visit on a Tuesday was no different. We arrived a little after 1140 - quite a bit of people already there but we were seated immediately. Since they're only open from 1030-230 M-F, consider adjusting plans so you can arrive before the hungry lunch patrons arrive in mass. Parking can be a little crazy but you can always park across the street. Overall, this remains as one of my top 5 Fresno eateries. read more
