It tells you how good everything was that I still came back though. Second visit I got the regular patties and I really really enjoyed the bowl. Every ingredient is fresh and delicious, tahini is great, and there's a shaker of zataar for seasoning on the counter. Great prices, great owner, great food. Big thumbs up. The only things on the menu that appealed to me were the chicken skewers and the meat pie. The chicken was juicy, but three skewers alone were not very filling. The meat pie was supposed to take 25-35 minutes. We waited for an hour and 15 minutes without anyone checking on us--not once. No one asked if we needed anything else, wanted to order another dish, or were enjoying the food. When it was nearly closing time, we finally asked the food runner about our meat pie. He said, "Oh, the kitchen is closed." We explained that we had ordered it over an hour earlier. He checked with the server and came back saying, "Oh, sorry. She didn't put it in." Then they simply brought us the bill. If I had known the meat pie wasn't coming, I would have ordered more chicken skewers. Instead, I literally left hungry on my birthday, and by the time we left, everything else nearby was already closed. There was barely an apology, no offer of a replacement, and no attempt to make things right. We also fell behind on our birthday plans while waiting for food that was never coming. The food may be good, but the lack of communication and customer service ruined the experience. If you want to try it, I would recommend takeout. Sadly, we will not be returning.
