I've been on an Indian food kick lately and I'm always looking for new Indian restaurants to try. I came across Sattva on Yelp and decided to check it out based on their good reviews. Upon arrival, I was surprised to discover that they were located I. A shopping center that I drive by every week but had never noticed before. They're located on the corner of Alicia Pkwy & Via Fabricante. Poki Cat is a good landmark. Plenty of free parking is available in the shared lot. The interior is very spacious and welcoming, with a lot of tables inside. One of my favorite Indian dishes is Chicken Tandoori. The description for this dish at Sattva read: chicken legs (with bones) marinated with yogurt and Indian spices. I've had this dish before at other restaurants so I had an idea of what to expect. I ordered the Chicken Tandoori online and it was ready for pickup when I arrived. The employee behind the counter was very friendly. The one thing I don't like is that they don't offer meal combos for dinner, only for lunch, therefore you have to add rice or sides if you want something to accompany your entree. The chicken tandoori was $16.99, which I thought was a fair price for the amount of chicken that I got. I also ordered a side of plain rice for $1.99. The chicken tandoori was good, but not the best I've ever had. First of all, I had selected "mild" but it was definitely a bit too spicy. The chicken was tender enough and the flavoring was good but different from other chicken tandooris that I've had. I would consider returning to try their lunch combos, as they seem to be a good deal. read more

Delay on getting water, plates to eat with and silverware. The water was kind though-so we were forgiving. Garlic naan was alright . We asked to have the broccoli and pea masala made with coconut milk instead of cream. It was ok, not great. Wish they would have added some spices to it as it was pretty bland. I am saying this with laughter, don't get me wrong. I asked for it that way, so that's on me. Kudos to them for taking me seriously! This restaurant had good reviews, so we decided to give it a shot since we were in the area. The staff are all so friendly, and all our food arrived pretty fast. We ordered a decent amount for two people- chicken tikka masala, lamb saag, samosa, mango lassi, garlic chilli naan, chicken 65, and a chai tea. The only thing we didn't LOVE was the chicken 65, but everything else was so delicious, I had no complaints !! 10/10 would come back again to try more menu items like the tandoori chicken or any of the lentil/chickpea curries. At first, I was skeptical of the mango lassi SOLELY because of the color, but to my surprise, it was deceivingly good !! I even took the rest of it in a togo cup because I liked it so much. Tonight I went for my second time back to this restaurant. I love Indian food and I love family businesses so that makes me even happier but most of all this is a 10 out of 10. The food is amazing. The chicken masala is the second time I had it and I know that that is just something that everyone orders, but this is really ispecial and the chef and also the waiters the Customer Service is amazing and if you go see the movies at Edwards next-door stop in and have dinner there first before you go and see your movie you won't be sorry it's really delicious food. I got this with medium spice, but damn... it seemed more than medium spice! Not a bad thing though; I actually really enjoyed the heat. - Garlic Naan | Warm naan with garlic on top. Great for dipping into palak paneer! - Paneer Kulcha | Naan with Indian cheese. The cheese is very mild, so it's difficult to detect, but know that it's there. - Lamb Tikka Masala | Tender chunks of lamb. The tikka masala sauce is SO flavorful with a bit of spice (ordered this with medium heat). Loved this dish, but wish it had more lamb in it. - Samosa | Densely crisp outer shell, with potatoes and vegetables inside. It's a heavy appetizer, so share it! COMING BACK? Yep. I was craving Indian food and usually love it. We were expecting to order a plate and point to the items we wanted, but we were too late for the lunch plates. We ended up sitting down for dinner and ordering individual items. The staff was very helping and patient with explaining items and helping us choose which ones to order. The samosa was okay but definitely needed the sauce. The garlic naan was good with the butter chicken and sauce. The Chana saag was extremely salty and we had to give it back to the kitchen. They apologized, admitted it was way too salty and said they'd give us a refund and it would take a few days to process. We paid $51.68 for all the items but never ended up getting the refund...not sure if it was an accident. We could have called to complain but never ended up doing it. I wouldn't come back here for the food. The place was also empty with only 1 customer that came to pick up a to go order. read more
