We are absolutely thrilled with the product and service we received from G & A. From the moment we…read morewalked through their door, Brandon assisted us with a level of care that made both my husband and I feel like we were a family member. We added on a 200 sq foot master closet room and originally went to G & A to look at carpeting for the new closet. Not only did Brandon spend a lot of time with us on the carpet (which was a small job), he inquired if there was anything else they could assist with. We quickly learned that G & A does not just specialize in flooring, they provide a wide variety of services. In addition to carpeting, we needed painting, stone for countertops and expanded our project to replacing the tile in our laundry room (a long want on my wish list). I got 5 bids for painting and when combining all the above services, Brandon came in with the most competitive pricing. We went with G & A and are so happy that we did. I never felt like he was trying to upsell us and we felt their prices were very fair. In fact, Brandon offered us options with the stone that were more economical than other brands. Brandon was with us every step of the way! When the tile I picked out for the laundry room was discontinued, he found one very similar which I ended up liking better anyways. When they started the laundry room project, while removing the old baseboards, there was an issue with some of the drywall. Brandon quickly stepped in and had one of his guys perform drywall repair right away so as to not stall the project. They removed and reinstalled the washer/dryer as well. They also updated the 20 year old baseboards to match the rest of the house. All of G & A's laborers that worked in our home were courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Brandon kept us advised every step of the way. I STRONGLY recommend G & A for any home improvement needs you may have and don't forget, they do way more than flooring! I am attaching some photos of the closet where they laid carpeting and installed quartz, the tile & painting in the laundry room and the painting of the living room/foyer where the new closet was built above.

I was really worried that a dark color would be hard to keep clean but the color is so beautiful I couldn't pass it up. Keeping it clean is actually amazing - you only need to use a dust mop and a bona wet mop pad dampened with warm water and it cleans up quickly and easily. Kevin at G&A was great to work with - he met all of his commitments, he came in before, during and after install. The install team was very efficient and did a great job. The baseboards also look fantastic. Kevin was so helpful in suggesting a solution for a design issue we had with the stair landing and it came out great. There was a small issue after install that required the install team to return and replace a portion of the floor. Kevin and the install team took care of this the very next day, and the repair was seamless. I really appreciated Kevin's attention to the project from start to finish. I highly recommend G&A flooring.

We were extremely happy with AR Flooring from start to finish! We had to move from real hardwoods…read moreto engineered and had a hard time finding something we liked. We described what we were looking for and they ordered additional samples until we found what we were looking for. We had to replace 1500 square feet (our entire main level) and they did demo in one day and install in the 2nd day. They went above and beyond and sent a cleaner to come in after to clean up all the sawdust from the demo. They were very reasonably priced and we would recommend them and will definitely use them again!

We spent over three months researching engineered hardwood floors, and talked to and received…read morequotes from 4 local businesses before we found AR Floors. The difference between Andres's quote with any of the other offers stood out like night and day. First and most importantly, Andres came out and spent over two hours looking at the work to be done, talking with us, and explaining all the possible issues that could come up. He was completely transparent, eager to answer every question we had with clarity and sincerity. Other contractors came out and did a rush job of measuring, threw out some figures and some with more extensive quotes than others, and there was always the possibility of a change order that could substantially increase the price. None of them clearly explained what needed to be done or what might be needed to be done, and none of them used their own staff-everything was hired out to one of their install teams. What made Andres's offer stand out way over any other was that he clearly explained everything that had to be done, or might have to be done, since doing wood flooring can open a number of issues that can crop up along the way. His quote, while slightly above our other offers, was the only all inclusive quote that would not include any change orders-every possible issue was included and he was willing to stick to his quote even if the job had issues along the way. This was especially true for our stairs. Andres also has his own crew and he is on site at the job, not spread thin doing multiple jobs at once. This means he will finish your job on time, and not stretch it out due to another job somewhere else. We were so comfortable with Andres after two visits, we decided to allow him to do the work while we were out of town. If any issues came up, he said he'd call or Facetime or send photos to discuss and explain. We were gone a week and one minor issue came up with the stair installation, which we resolved easily by phone and text. The crew left our home immaculate and clean, as if nobody had been there. They even moved a piano for us without any extra charge. Our neighbors remarked how immaculate and clean they were and covered all our furniture to prevent any work dust from covering things. The work and craftsmanship show in every way, and it's obvious Andres takes great pride in his work. We are extremely pleased with our flooring, and will be eager to hire Andres for other remodel projects.

We knew that we needed an expert to complete the job without the risk of damaging them. We had a difficult decision to make and for this project, we obtained 7 quotes. After looking into each of the companies through the CSLB website, we found out that only four of them had a valid contractors license. We felt very comfortable with George, the owner of Jace. He has vast knowledge of hardwood floors with years of experience, has a friendly demeanor, and is a fellow dog rescuer. One of the other reviews mentions a customer's satisfaction with Jace's refinishing of their 100 years old floors. Though his quote was not the lowest, we chose quality over price. And we are so happy we did. Carlos, the lead tech on our project is also very knowledgeable and approachable. He answered all of our questions, and explained everything they were doing throughout the various stages of the process. Carlos's assistant, Jair is friendly and a hard worker. After the work was completed, Mike came to inspect the work, and grout the transition from our Dining Room to our kitchen. I didn't even have to ask them to do this. George suggested it to replace the ugly molding that was previously there, and on which we would frequently stub our toes. Mike returned a second time to drop off a complementary Bona cleaning kit. From the initial Yelp request to the finish of our project, George and his team were stellar, exceeding our expectations. Our floors look amazing, as if they were newly installed! I would recommend them to everyone in need of hardwood floor installation/refinishing/repairs. It is their specialty and their business name says so. Check out their work on Instagram @jace_floors

We did feel 12 bags of self leveling concrete was excessive when it looked like it was only used on a few corners of the room in a job less than 900 sq feet. Unfortunately one of the stair nosing broke within a couple weeks of install. Rafi was responsive in redoing the stairs stating it was a manufacturing defect and that the new version is stronger. Unfortunately the second team quality of work was very poor. They left holes in our walls that were patched poorly with plaster. Worst of all the stairs were apparently nailed to the subfloor and after a few weeks they started to rise leaving little holes and nails protruding from the floor. A few of the stair noses are loose as well. At this point, Rafi became unresponsive to have the flooring fixed. We ended up getting some of our money back through our credit card after months went by but the majority of the payment was by check. Basically we will need to replace the stairs again on our own dime. Buyer beware! Lifetime warranty doesn't mean anything if the installer ghosts you.

(With the quote coming in $1k cheaper than the competitors). We were did not have a color in mind when we re-did our floors so his team was able to provide a number of options/materials that would fit into the quote that he provided. Once the material/color was chosen, the work was scheduled for the week after. On the day of the installation, Raymond showed up on time and finished the job in just one day. He worked non-stop, was very efficient and very clean. I highly recommend My Flooring guy to anyone looking for quick, high quality work. There were no hidden costs and Rafi was upfront about everything that was charged!

I previously had a horrible experience with another flooring contractor (completely unrelated to…read morethis company), which made me very nervous about going through the process again. The flooring from that past job began breaking, even bowing at one point, and when concerns were raised, the contractor brushed it off and said to give it time to settle. It never improved and now just creaks, but we eventually gave up on trying to fix it. Overall, it was a nightmare experience. Because of that, I was extremely cautious when choosing new flooring this time around. I asked a lot of questions, sometimes more than once, to help ease my nerves. Jacob was the one who helped me, and he was so patient and helpful. He was very down to earth, explained everything in layman's terms, and spoke to me like a friend rather than talking down to me. In an industry that is primarily male, I've often felt dismissed or spoken down to, which can be incredibly frustrating. Jacob treated me with respect and like a person, which I truly appreciated. Jacob also helped me choose the flooring, and the process was surprisingly easy. I told him I wanted a light-colored floor, and he selected three options that closely matched what I had in mind. It was such a relief not to sift through endless samples, which can be very overwhelming. I was able to make a decision quickly, and the end result was perfect. I absolutely love how it turned out.

Most flooring is ordered by Kingsly and either delivered to Kingsly or truck to your location for a few hundred dollars. We purchased 40 cartons of Brazilian Cherry and had it delivered to our home. The guys in the truck were nice enough to unload them into our garage as each carton weighs 50 lb Gave them a nice tip. Normally it's tailgate service meaning they pull up and you take the stuff off the truck. Kingsly also custom makes their own nosing for stairs. It's 80 bucks for a strip, the strips are pretty long. We spent about $9000. Either you or your flooring company should measure carefully when ordering. Our cartons contained 29 sq ft. Because if you buy too much they won't take back less than 100 sq ft and charge a hefty percent restocking fee.
