Really wanted to hire this firm based on the stellar reviews, but the online booking process is ONEROUS. At least two photos of the window required, several different measurements required, along with a litany of of questions. I've filled out background check questionnaires which were less intrusive. Rude and unhelpful customer service. I submitted a bunch of information to request service (including photos of 4 a/c units and confirmation they fit within the windows and have been used in those windows before and that I have all the parts (plus additional screws and materials)). The customer service agent (Maria) asked for yet more information (including serial numbers, BTU sizes and "photos of the unit from different angles and any parts associated with it"). I indicated that I had provided photos and have all the parts and asked if the other details mattered (noting that I was not concerned about pricing differences based on BTU size). I am at work and did not want to inconvenience my 8.5 months pregnant wife with having to track down these overly detailed requests that don't seem to matter to putting A/C units back into the same windows they were in last year. Maria responded (in full): "If they didn't matter, we wouldn't ask. So, you need to follow up on what we are asking. Carefully read the previous email." That's pretty obnoxious, inconsiderate and unhelpful. From the other reports the technicians seem great, but if you run into a customer service issue do you really want to deal with someone like Maria? I don't so I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

Building management required an AC bracket installed for our window unit and we lacked the tools to drill into brick and set it up, plus I've got a bad back so handling an AC install for an extended period of time is a no-go. I was referred from the their Yelp estimate request system to send in the details on their website, and they were very quick responding to gather details and set up a time ASAP, even during a heatwave. The installer had trouble finding parking and called to let me know, but still made it within the estimated time window and had the bracket (I provided) and the AC installed in a few minutes. No troubles all season, so it seems secure. He assured me it was easy to uninstall the AC unit in the winter on my own even with a bad back, showing it's just a few steps to remove. Requested a quote late Sunday morning, and was able to have both of my window units installed later that day. They use plexiglass to fill in the window so you don't lose your view. So much better than the accordion pieces that come on the units. The installer even showed me how to clean my filters. I hired these guys to install a new air conditioner in my mom's kitchen. They were very helpful, answering a lot of questions by email over a couple of weeks before the job. The night before the installation, at 10 PM, my mom told me they needed an insurance certificate and indemnification agreement. Even though the installation was the next day at 10 AM, they managed to get the paperwork done and didn't have to delay the install. The job itself was done very well, without a mess, and on time. Responded to my emails with all my questions answered quickly. Scheduled a time easily and the very patient installer waited almost an hour for me as I was stuck in traffic with a 20 foot uhaul. As soon as he was here, he installed the two air conditioners so crazy fast, and even worked around me missing one of the vents. I bought the brackets myself, and they had no issue with that. The price was the cheapest I could find in Manhattan. I paid $200 for one 8K and one 12k BTU air conditioner. My building required an insured company to do these installs, so it was great to get someone who was in an out in less then 20 minutes, and worked around a ton of boxes and crap, and a FiOS tech during our move. July 2021: installed a Midea U 12000 BTU window air conditioner into my living room. installation/bracket seemed complicated but they did an awesome job August 2022: my bedroom's AC died, so had their services to move that Midea U from the living room to the bedroom. August 2022 again: installed an LG Dual Inverter 14000 BTU into the living room as a replacement and upgrade. got the privacy plexiglass that they offer, instead of the accordion panels that the AC came with. looks really great! 10/10 booking: David is always extremely responsive and helpful, couldn't ask for anything more. 10/10 service: the technicians (this August both times the technician was Sean) super informative, explained everything, gave tips and advice on cooling and maintenance and even keeping insulation/air gaps sealed. 10/10 no issues afterwards! since any of the service calls, installations have been rock solid, no gaps in insulation/to the outside, ACs have been stable and without any issues whatsoever.
