This is second time I've walked in, spent time and never once was smiled at, greeted with a hello or ever asked if I needed some help. Wandering yesterday (after 1 hour drive to get there), with fabric samples in my hands, I was totally ignored. Zeez, I was nicely dressed, smiled at the woman sitting in the back area on the phone and then not on the phone, but she still ignored me. Other woman was helping someone & then she was 'free'. Totally ignored. There is a total dearth of fabric stores in Pinellas & Hillsborough Counties now and Sarasota has one fabric store. Me, no longer playing this game. Road trip to Atlanta is on my horizon as there are at least 3 huge fabric stores just in downtown alone. Here I come to find fabric to have made new bedroom curtains, new bedding & a chair recovered...add to that the family room and more. You blew it, Calico Corners in Tampa.

The first impression was like it was a kind of land fill , but in fact there is a lot of furniture in a pretty good condition and some sets of china looking not too shabby. The place is hard to walk around because of the chaotically placed items. Pricing seems weird - a tray with floral magnets for $10 (!!!) a piece or $17 for 2. Didn't ask about prices for the furniture though. The ladies mentioned in previous reviews are not there and the store is definitely in decline and disarray. But if you have time and energy and pick a cooler day, you may be able to find really nice things.

I support local businesses when I can, but honestly I should have tailored my suit at Nordstroms…read more When I arrived, the tailor was not there, but my suit was measured without the actual tailor taking the measurements. I'm not impressed with the fit of my jacket and the pants are a bit too short. Also, I was charged for an alteration which was not performed resulting in having to leave my pants for almost another week. Somehow I was charged even more than the original quote. Lastly, when the tailor was actually there and saw me try on my suit he offered no feedback and really seemed to not care about the fit. On a positive note, they did successfully sew a button correctly on a shirt I brought in.

No one should be treated that way, especially a customer. We were both scared and concerned as to what he was going to do next after screaming and cursing at her. Judy's Tailor Shop does a great job, is affordable and has wonderful customer service. Her and her family would never scream in a customer's face.
