the woman who must be the owner or manager, whoever it is whenever i called to inquire about their services for a new client cat nail trim- she seemed rude and short over the phone but thought thats just bc I know we're all busy. so i stopped in for the first time and she was the same one who "greeted" me today. she is exactly who i thought she was over the phone- just rude demeanor and not a welcoming environment at all. they were busy so i understand but they must not care about the impression they make on new clients. so yes, walk in service thats quick and efficient is wonderful and at a great price, so thank yoh for that. but the service was absolutely awful, not even eye contact, not even a hello, thank you or how are you. these experiences can be traumatizing for the animals and there was zero effort to be welcoming to my fur child. so if you don't care about kindness being displayed to you or your baby, come here. but she left an awful impression and I just pray she is well because it was so overtly rude to where you wonder if there's something wrong with this person's heart and mind... read more

Pet Owners Beware! I am convinced this place abuses animals! I took my dog there for a wash and cut, and when I picked him up, I noticed that he could barely keep his right eye open and the upper area of his stomach near his left leg was red. I immediately sent an email since the company was closed, but received no reply. I called first thing in the morning, and the lady I spoke to was beyond rude and held no accountability for the company's mistake. Instead, she told me I need to give my dog CBD for him to get washed and mentioned she was going to call me because he was being difficult to get his nails cut. When I asked why she didn't mention he was being difficult to cut, she stated, "That's his normal behavior, I believe, but I don't groom him that often." What? She then said the bruising was from the harness as they hang him. Mind you, I had NEVER had any complaints about my dog from this company until I brought it to their attention. She stated it's not her fault that a dog is difficult to groom and she doesn't care about the bruising and his eye, and she will not be providing a refund. Pet Emporium, WORSE GROOMING SALON FOR ANY PET SPECIES! My puppies corneas of both eyes were burned due to extreme heat from the dryer when she returned home from being groomed! We Rushed her to the emergency room, and the ER veterinarian said that because of the heat from the dryer her corneas was ulcerated, from being burned a yellow layer surfaced over her pupils and the sclera of both eyes; The ER veterinarian also said that shampoo couldn't ( DID NOT) do this severe damage to her eyes! Jenny the owner denied having any knowledge of it, although, she was the one who groomed her afterwards. My puppy eyelashes were cut nearly off trying to hide the damage to her lids from them burning. I called Jenny and asked to please tell me what happened and she stated she wasn't in there and she didn't know. Our appointment was for 8:00am with only one other dog with ours! My husband picked up our puppy and the owner Jenny stated she's been rubbing her eyes in the cage! Our puppy is a golden doodle, with huge, hazel light eyes, and long eyelashes. Her eyes were not itchy, red, irritated, or draining when she left home, matter- of-fact she had been washed by Emporium's owner ( Jenny) less than two weeks prior to this event happening on 10/05/24 . I started bringing her more frequently, because the owner started our puppy didn't like her paws to be touched. When my husband made it home with our puppy I saw instantly that something was wrong and her eyes were shut and extremely tender to touch, I looked in her eyes and they were bloodshot red, she screeched out in pain when touched! The gross abuse and neglect of our 20 month old puppy in the care of the owner, and her employees were malicious and inhuman! Any species, being burned alive would have been vocally suffering in agony. ABSOLUTELY NO WHITE IN HER EYES, ONLY BLOOD RED AND YELLOW EYES LIKE SOMEONE WHO HAS SUFFERED FROM JAUNDICE! PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR PET BECOME A VICTIM OF ABUSE AND NEGLECT! The owner lied and said my husband looked in our puppies eyes and they weren't red, she thought I was at work like most weekends because I didn't bring her or pick her up, she denied that she wasn't aware of our girls eyes when she said that she was scratching at them after the grooming ( Jenny was the one who styled the hair cut) as she waited in the cage not even for 30 minutes, once they called for us to pickup our pup, my husband went immediately to pick her up. Jenny ( the owner) statements conflicted with one another when I questioned her about what happened . Not only do I believe she knew what had happened, she did not care, she did not express remorse, or concern for our puppies well being! Not only did she get the $120. 00 dollars each time, we also tipped $15 at least, so that our girl would be safe and well taken care of, when we're not there! Nothing can change this outcome, except eye antibiotics 3 times daily, pain medication twice daily, anti-inflammatory meds twice daily, a cone 24/7, follow up appointments with the veterinarian, finding a qualified groomer who cares for the safety and wellbeing of animals, someone have a conscious not to harm, and willing to take responsible for their actions as a owner of a business if something did occur. read more

Just picked up my two cats and noticed one of my cats can't keep his eye open.. I called asking if water might've gotten into his eye and they denied it saying they use muzzles on all animals, but my cats eye is clearly irritated from something..?? I've only ever been here once before and I had a really great experience but I came to get cat my the same cut and it feels like they rushed. When I came in I asked if they could fix her uneven paw area and the lady told me she could but it would look "even weirder" if she did?? It came off as rude and the lady I've talked to previously was more approachable and professional. The pricing also throws me off. When I called over the phone I was told the cut and bath would be $55 but when I came today they said it should actually be $65 because she's getting older. She was 5 months then and she's 7 months now. I was told after a year the price stays at $65+ but she's still a kitten until then. I asked if it'll slowly increase every month until she's one and was told yes. It didn't make sense and seemed like they were just making up price as they go. I also noticed my cat was jumpier when I picked her up. I used Pet Emporium for Pet Sitting. Not only was their service affordable, it was top notch. The employee that stayed at our house (all day and overnights were important at to us) was fantastic. I would use them any time. I felt comfortable knowing our pets, two dogs, a cat and a parrot, were being cared for in our own home. No extra stress on our pets. DO NOT GO HERE!!! If I could give this place zero stars I honestly would. I dropped my poodle off for a grooming appointment and sent multiple pictures as to what I would like her to look like. When I picked her up all her hair was chopped off she was not matted and she was brushed out before the appointment, I brush her everyday! there was no reason for the groomer to shave her all the way down like she did. I expressed my frustration with the groomer and ask her to at least give me a discount for not following simple instructions. She proceeded to raise her voice and get give me an attitude saying that she did her job when she in fact did not. Unfortunately our first visit to the Pet Emporium since the new ownership will be our last. The terrible grooming our dog received and the attitude of the owner are just not ok. When I picked my dog up I didn't think he looked great, but I was in a hurry and it wasn't until I got home that I realized how awful it was. The fur on one side of his body is a different length than the other. The fur on his back is several different lengths and there are hard lines from the clipper. I can't even believe that someone did that and thought it was ok to send him home that way. It looks like two people groomed him and met in the middle. I know it's not like he's a show dog, but I don't enjoy paying money for poor work. Additionally, prior to our visit he had broken the nail on his dew claw. It had taken quite some time to heal so I had specifically asked them not to trim it and they trimmed it anyway. I called and talked to Jennifer. She told me that I could bring him in and they would fix it, but I don't have time to make two trips over there this weekend and I'm not taking time off work to do it during the week. She also had no recollection of me or my dog, even though I had talked to her personally. She told me that the groomer had written down the instructions that had been given to him by my husband (my husband was never there) and that so many people come through it's "hard to tell.' That's some great customer service. I e-mailed her photos of what it looked like and her response was "hmmm, yeah" and that it was just once in seven years, but I don't see it that way and that doesn't make it ok. This was our first visit under new ownership and it didn't go well. We were also told that we could have our next grooming free but that I couldn't get a refund because then there is no reason for me to come back. Well, the result is that we're not coming back anyway, and I'm just out $50. -------------------------- I got some emails from Jenny after I posted the top of this. She told me I shouldn't make them look bad on the internet and argued with me about what I had or had not said in the review - instead of just going back and reading it again. She argued with me about what lengths we had or had not had him trimmed to in the past. She told me I can give them the benefit of the doubt. Why? She wouldn't just admit that they did a poor job and kept turning it around on me and never addressed the fact that they trimmed his injured nail when I specifically asked them not to. She also told me that "he is a terrier their hair is very sticky outy and always looks uneven no matter what." In ten years he has never looked that bad when I picked him up from the groomer. The whole things was very unprofessional. I got tired of the exchange and suggested that she might want to reconsider repeatedly sending emails to customers telling them that they are wrong or they are the problem, and she again told me I was wrong and that's not what she was doing. I always thought the saying was that the customer is always right, unless you're at the Pet Emporium, where the customer is always wrong. read more

I picked up my dog yesterday afternoon and was very disappointed when I discovered several red marks on my dog's underbelly and a very red rectum. I called and left a message complaining about this. When I was called back, there was no apology and only a comment that maybe he had a lot of matted hair there. Been going to this location for several years when it was "Pat's" Pet Emporium. Usually around May-June, my 7 year old Norwegian Forest Cat's fur gets really matted to a point where he (and myself) needs a pro to get his yearly trim. I was a little apprehensive to bring him there since it's under new management but ended up taking a chance and was very pleased. For $55 dollars they gave him a nice cut and trimmed his claws. It seems that the quality and service hasn't changed which is a very good thing. Plus it was done in only a couple of hours, so no waiting an entire Morning or Afternoon for the groomer to call. If you have a long haired cat in need of some help with his coat I recommend the Pet Emporium. read more

Do NOT take your dog to Pet Emporium for grooming. I brought my dog to Pet Emporium for a regular bath and sanitary shave. When I dropped him off at about 8:30am, he was walking and breathing without issue. I received a call about 4 hours later that he was ready to be picked up, so I went immediately to pick him up. When I arrived, the owner/groomer said the grooming was rough because he pooped during the course of his grooming and required an additional washing, so they'd have to charge me by the hour, which I paid. After paying, I saw my dog laying on the floor in the grooming area panting extremely heavy. He wasn't responsive to me calling his name, needed to be helped to stand up, walked extremely slowly, and then collapsed outside my car. I told the owner that I'd never seen him look so bad and the owner said he'll be fine, then picked him up and put him into my car. I immediately called the vet, who said to bring my dog over immediately. Upon arriving at the vet, my dog was rushed into the back for immediate care. At his initial exam, the vet noted that my dog was panting uncontrollably and was barely responsive, he was non-ambulatory without help, he yelped and cried in pain whenever he was touched, he had a temperature of 106.4, his skin was severe red and irritated with fresh abrasions and purple color over the abdomen, and had severe tremoring throughout his body. The vet indicated that his condition was critical and time-sensitive. My dog was diagnosed with suspected heat stroke with secondary systemic inflammation, dehydration, and neurologic/respiratory crisis. He required sedation and anti-seizure medications, fluids, bloodwork, and monitoring at the vet for several more hours due to the severe amount of stress his body endured to ensure there were no further complications. The vet indicated that if they hadn't seen my dog as quickly as they did, he may not have lived. I returned to Pet Emporium to notify them of what happened. The owner indicated that everything my dog exhibited was normal. When I asked why they didn't stop and call me at the initial sign of distress, she said his behavior was normal. When I asked why they didn't notify me of my dog's distress when they called to say he was ready for pick-up, she said his behavior was normal. When I asked why they didn't notify me of my dog's distress when I arrived to pick him up instead of telling me how hard it was so they had to charge me by the hour, she said his behavior was normal. At no point did the owner acknowledge that my dog's extreme panting and inability to move without assistance indicated that he was under any sort of distress. I do not know what exactly the groomer and owner did while working with my dog, but I can say that in such a time-sensitive situation where my dog was in extreme distress and his life was at risk, every minute mattered. I'm lucky that I was able to go pick him up immediately when I was notified he was ready, that I recognized his distress, and that I got him to the vet as soon as I did. I will never take my dog to Pet Emporium again and strongly encourage you to not either. read more

I've tried sooo hard for months to find a legit groomers. The first second we steped inside I sow incredeble happy dog and I was like okkkk.. This is god sign. I liked it. And offcourse I like that my poodle started to look like a show dog. Beautifull Alex take care off her and we are both happy. Frida, my poodle was calm, she didnt act strange even she was first time here. She knew how she is well groomed so she walk like a star. When we step out people from cars start give her compliment. I had never groomed my cat before and felt a bit anxious about it. My cat is long haired and was a tangled mess despite my best efforts. Both Jenny and Bruce were so kind in my many several calls and questions to them. After I dropped off my baby, I called in about an hour to check on him and they didn't bat an eye at my craziness!
