Staff there is absolutely wonderfu! I love being able to check in on my dog through the webcams as well!

After a couple of months it was decided our dog was a little high strung, he's a heeler. We said ok no big...we don't want to stress the other dogs. We cancelled. They kept charging. And charging. And charging. So we called about a month after cancellation...hey you guys are still charging us can we please fix this?? They talked to the owner about it, "all good you should see the refund in 7-10 days", typical. Another month has gone by. Still no refund. So we call, AGAIN. They need to talk to the owner, AGAIN. Friendly staff but maybe pay in cash. read more

Got my new puppy Henry earlier this year, and as he grew, I really had to find a spot to let him meet new friends and expel some of his energy. He has been going twice a week for the past few months, and he gets so excited to go each week. There was one hiccup where he got bit by another dog, however it has to be understood that animals are unpredictable and these types of things can occur. In any case, the facility is clean and the staff is caring. I boarded him for six nights this past week due to being out of town, and his stay was awesome! I completely trust the staff and their love of dogs. They offer grooming/nail services and have a lot of fun special events for the doggies too. The web cams are great too! We are so happy we found Dogtopia! Our dog Teddy Bear absolutely loves it here! The staff are so kind and go above and beyond to take care of all the dogs and give them love and attention. The facility is extremely clean and well kept and that care is apparent on the first day when you arrive they give you a tour of the whole daycare and slowly introduce your dog with a trial day so they aren't overwhelmed and can see how they play with the other dogs. I also like that they are grouped by size and temperament. My little guy is 8 months and likes playing more gently so the smaller dogs and other doodles are perfect for him. Unlike the other dog daycare we went to in the past, our fur baby comes home tired, but happy and well taken care of. He's never overstimulated, panting, dirty or acting like he hasn't eaten or drank water all day, which was our experience at another daycare. Dogtopia offers baths and grooming onsite which is super convenient and they go out of their way to do fun activities for the dogs that are really cute. Their pricing is also really fair and we bought a membership for daycare and will also board him here for our trips because he loves it so much. I recently came in to see if this would be a great fit for my 1yr old Boston terrier. I went in for the evaluation and I was met by three employees - The gentleman was great very knowledgeable and did a great job of explaining the benefits of Dogtopia. The two other employees young and were nice and polite. The two other employees took my puppy in the back and came back in under 5 minutes saying he was too "active" to be in the play room and he was to forward with his greeting. Which is super odd because he is playful but what puppy isn't. Also, i was able to see on the camera the Rooms were the dogs are and it's a lot of dogs and one associate and I was very concern because you can see the employee was stressed. Regardless this wasn't the right fit for our puppy and we are glad we went with another place instead. read more

My dog loves it here. The entire staff is great, we truly appreciate that they care our dog like he's their own. They seem to know every dog by name. We feel comfortable leaving him here when we have to go out of town or we have long days at work. They have a suite option for boarding which is more expensive than the crate boarding...but so worth it. Our dog is a high energy, playful dog, and he's pooped whenever he leaves! They do a lot of fun things with the dogs like bubbles, pictures, sometimes I see sidewalk chalk drawings on the floor, they did pictures with Santa, etc., it's so cute! We get excited when they post a fun picture of our dog on their IG or Facebook. The best part is that they have cameras set up, so you can check in on your pup via webcam on the app. I highly recommend this place to any dog owners that (like us) were looking for a doggie daycare that treat the pups like family. They have prices for half day, full day, and an hourly rate as well. All VERY reasonable. read more

We have been bringing our pup to Dogtopia of Oakbrook Terrace since July of 2019. Her first visit was incredible. She played all her energy out within a couple of hours. Penelopi still loves going there and gets excited when we pull into the parking lot. She makes a new friend Everytime she goes. Not only does she love the dogs she loves all the employees. She needs to greet everyone that is out in the reception area when we arrive and say goodbye when she leaves. The employees are very nice and caring. Clean up messes as soon as they happen. They also make sure they give each dog some attention. The facility is very clean. We are very confident leaving our pup in such loving and caring hands. read more

My dogs have been going here for over a year. They get so excited when I say "Dogtopia" because they know they are going to have a great day. The staff greet my dogs by name every time. They've been in daycare, overnight boarding and get groomed every couple of months. Love all of the services! And you can watch them on your phone all day if you'd like. Called and received same day appointments for my two dogs. They do require up to date immunizations including dog flu. I wasn't impressed with the nail cut though. I know how to cut my dogs nails myself and do often, so I know they could've gone shorter. And apparently they skipped the drummel tool on my younger dog. I guess I expected more. Both dogs nails are too long. The staff looked over whelmed. And you never get to see the grooming area. read more

While on vacation last week we boarded our dog at the dogtopia location on Roosevelt. While away my husband received a call stating that our dog had somehow gotten a gash overnight. That he was fine when he went to bed but it was there in the morning from against a wall or something. They were going to also take him to our vet to get it checked out. Our vet called us a few hours later to let us know what we were told was not true. The vet was also told that he ran against a wall and the vet let us know after letting them know that it was clearly from a dog attack. The vet told the person who was the manager from dogtopia there were multiple other bite marks that include by on his anus, multiple wounds on his tail tail, sides, and thigh. The Dr did not think they were shocked by this and seemed more embarrassed from being caught. The most disturbing detail was based off of the wounds the injuries were at least 24 hours old. Our dog is a light colored greyhound. There is no possible way they did not see the injuries on him. Especially his side which needed multiple stitches. They left our dog in pain and bleeding overnight because they either didn't want to have to pay the vet bill and we're hoping he would look passable by the time we got bock or just were too lazy to go that night. Dogtopia was neglectful and irresponsible with our dog. A week has passed and still no call back from the manager. Clearly there is no remorse for the actions and treatment of our dog. read more

Staff members coming out to get/return dogs, plus the groomer, and who are required to wear masks are not doing so. Bringing it to owner's attention will get you banned from bringing your dog in for daycare. Thanks for your understanding of client concerns there Tony...if you can't ensure your own managerial staff and those underneath them adhere to CDC guidelines after 10 months and you state you "don't work there anymore" maybe you shouldn't own a business. Banning clients is ridiculous! It can actually make you run out of business. read more

We take our lab here weekly for a little exercise and he loves it. So much fun to watch the web cams and see the interaction between the dogs. These folks really love their jobs. Recently boarded for a week and again loved the fact we could check in and see how he was doing over the web cam. He was in great shape upon pick up and no worse for wear. read more

Neglected to mention they shove your dog into a crate to feed him lunch. And wonder why doesn't eat, is anxious. Go figure.

I love this place and so does my dog, JoJo. On Dogtopia days I drop her off and she never looks back to check on me - she just trots on in for a day of fun. When I pick her up she is nicely played out and tired! The people at this location are wonderful! They all seem to relate well to the dogs and do try and understand each dog's personality. I have also used their boarding services and been very happy (and JoJo never complains). I'm so glad I found them! read more

Can't say enough good things about Dogtopia! Trixie has stayed overnight and has occasionally participated in the daycare. I love that we can drop Penelope off for a day or an hour where she's safe and happy. It's fun to watch her on the webcams and I really think that she is making friends there! There are some very nice attendants that are employed at this location. But twice I was overcharged for the boarding service. They did correct it both times, but the older male attendant intentionally charged me $70 a day instead of $55. He corrected it but told me next time I will have to pay $70. Why, when there is a brochure on the desk that clearly states the boarding is $55.00 a day. I will not be taking Prince back to this location. I will be looking for a new boarding place. read more

We brought our dog for grooming and she looks great! Price was right and she was back home in under 2 hours. Definitely going back!

I love Dogtopia !!!!!! I take Vinnie once a week and he absolutely goes bazzerk on plat days! We recently left him for five nights while we went away for spring break. He came back home tired but a super happy pup. He did not have that stressed out dragged down look that we used to get when we left him at normal boarding places. We took our dog into Dogtopia for a few nights while out of town. The place is immaculate, and everyone was so friendly. We got to watch our pup from the webcams throughout the day, and he was having the best time. All the employees made us feel so comfortable leaving our pup there, and he honestly did not want to leave. This is the only place we will leave him now! read more

Dogtopia is definitely clean and well kept however on my dogs first visit she was bit by another dog and she was immediately isolated. The dog that bit her remained in the play group. When my dog was reintroduced several hours later she was anxious and sat in a corner. My dog was too big for the smaller dog play group so she was left with dogs who were all twice her size because she fell in the middle which I feel caused her more anxiety because she was with about 5-6 dogs all of whom were way bigger than her that she did not know. I feel like after this incident happened she should have been placed in another room with one of the friendlier dogs to get more comfortable and then placed back in the main room once she felt more comfortable with one or two dogs. She sat in a corner the rest of the time until I picked her up. I understand dogs will be dogs and play rough, however this happened within the first 2 hours she was there. She had been attending another daycare for 2 years prior to attempting to switch to Dogtopia and we never had any incidents such as the one she experienced in her first day. Other people and their dogs may have a more pleasant experience as everyone seems really nice, this just left a bad taste in our mouth and especially for our dog. read more

My puppy has been going to Dogtopia for a year and has become more obedient at home. She loves going "to work " every morning. This is the perfect place to release all that excess puppy energy. I have now started taking my 9 year old there. She is loosing weight and is moving much better. Being in an active environment is stimulating her mind. She seems so much happier. My schnauzer has been going to Dogtopia 5 days a week for about a couple months now, she absolutely loves it. She almost pushes me out of the car just to get in the door. Everyone of the staff members truly care about the dogs. Before going to Dogtopia my puppy was uncontrollable, now she is an absolute angel. My older dog no longer fears her and they now play and sleep together. I couldn't be more happy with her progress. read more
