Not a single complaint from anyone! The food was incredible, with a tasty variety of appetizers like fried pickles, quesadillas, salad, chips, and jalapeño poppers--everything was a hit. I personally enjoyed a favorite of mine, a buffalo chicken wrap which was full of delicious flavors and ingredients. We were able to provide drink tickets, and the selection--from ciders to sour beers--was top-notch and well-loved by everyone. The space itself is warm, welcoming, and perfect for larger gatherings. The assortment of board games was a hit amongst our crew. I couldn't recommend Creatures of Habit more--whether it's for events, hangouts, or anything in between. Thank you again! We're already looking forward to our next visit.

This place has been a hit with my "21+" family due to the great food, great location, and usually good service. Minors are not allowed. Our most recent visit yesterday had less than awesome service but maybe she was having a bad day. The building is old with lots of wood paneling ... very comfy. There are several other wonderful restaurants in Fortville which is great for me as I have several choices. I never would have guessed that this tiny suburb would have such epic cuisine!

I love the small town feel!! The restaurant vibe reflects the town. Everyone is very welcoming. I didn't catch bartenders name, but she was very friendly to everyone at her bar. She told us her favorites on the menu. I appreciated her knowledge about the restaurant and the menu. The bar area seemed a little dark, but that actually enhanced the experience of an old bar. We only sat in the bar area, I believe there is additional seating in another room, but I didn't look. I opted for a grilled tenderloin and a cup of beer cheddar jalapeño cheese soup. The sandwich's are Ala carte. The sandwich was bigger than I expected, that would have been enough for lunch. The trick with grilled tenderloin is that many times it is over cooked, so it is dry. This was cooked to perfection; cooked but still moist. The sandwich, with the "garden" was awesome. Now to the soup. I think she said they use wee Mac as the beer. The jalapeño was puréed. There was crispy bacon crumbled on top; I did not care for the bacon. The soup was odd to me as I was eating it. Because of the texture, it reminded me of corn chowder. There was a little spice/flavor from the jalapeño. What was odd to me, was it didn't wow me like I thought it would, but I kept eating it. So in the end, I think I really liked it bc I ate all of it!!! The menu is not large, but has a good variety for its size. The desserts were impressive, I just didn't have room for it. I could easily become a regular there!!

It is worth the drive!!! All pastas are made fresh. The staff was so friendly and accommodating! They have a piano player as well...what a treat! I sat in the back corner and took it all in! The food was outstanding, I ordered Linguine Frutti di Mare- homemade linguine ( delicious) served with clams, mussels, scallops? Shrimp, cherry tomatoes, evoo, garluc, parsley cooked in a white wine sauce!!! As you can see I absolutely hated it... lol! I has an expression and lava cake for dessert. The lava cake was a little overcooked- that is the only complaint.... Other than the lady sitting across the table from me that talked loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear her conversation. I wish people would be more observant and realize they don't have to talk so loud when they're sitting at their table it made it difficult to hear the piano player and it went from a relaxing stress free feeling to an annoyance. I was so happy when her food arrived. This place is very special. It's very small. I got in because it was very early in the evening. I believe their doors open at 5 o'clock. I would highly recommend reservations, but if you have a special occasion that you're celebrating, and it appeared that several people did this is worth the drive!

I ordered a pepperoni pizza along with a glass of wine, and both were absolutely delicious. The pizza was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor--the kind of comfort food that pairs so well with a good wine. The wine itself was smooth, enjoyable, and really elevated the whole experience. What truly stood out, though, was the service. I had forgotten to grab a Coke, and the staff member helping me was kind enough to go above and beyond by bringing me a bottle. That small act of kindness really made my visit feel special and appreciated. Overall, this was such a great experience--from the food to the wine to the exceptional service. The parking lot tailgating before dinner is half the experience. Where else can you sip a drink next to a pickup truck, make friends with complete strangers, and then walk inside to eat a meal that makes you question every life choice that led you to lesser restaurants? The food is absurdly good. The famous Perkinsville Pork deserves its own state holiday. Portions are generous, flavors are bold, and the menu somehow manages to feel both elevated and unapologetically Hoosier. Service was friendly, the atmosphere was chaotic in the best possible way. Everyone having a great time. Come hungry. Come early. Bring a folding chair for the parking lot. Leave wondering why every restaurant isn't this much fun. 10/10. I can definitely understand why people will tailgate just to get in for dinner. We started off with the meatballs, the pork loin, and the pierogies. The pork loin is a must get, and the other others were delicious as well. For my entrée, I got the pork loin as well because it was so good as an appetizer, and before that I started with the tomato soup, which was also excellent. Addison was our waiter and was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. We had a party of over 10 people and he handled it flawlessly. But I'm so glad I was hungry and ordered the lasagna. It's a decent amount of food and I think it was the best Lasagna I've ever had. Seriously. Melted in my mouth and the texture and flavor was amazing. All the pasta and sauces are made in house and I could taste the difference. Delicious. My SO had been thinking about their linguine and clams and was not disappointed. There were fewer clams than the last time (granted it's been a long while now) so it's best for a lite appetite. Service was good and the owner stopped by as well ... from Italy and these are home recipes. Looks like they recently installed new carpet which was nice. It was hopping on a Friday night. I had been wanting to come here for a long time.. Everyone I know says this place is really good. This is a 3.5 star review. The bruschetta was 4 pieces and soggy. It was also 15 dollars. They don't serve table bread for free so I ordered some for $4 and it was about 5 1/2 slices of the same bread they used for the bruschetta. It was served with a bowl of oil with balsamic vinegar. I also asked for my pasta to be saucy and the waitress looked at me and she said, do you mean you want extra sauce? So for $2 extra I feel I got a normal amount of sauce so I'm not sure what a regular amount looks like. Unfortunately the pasta was pre-denté. Everyone else's dishes were steaming hot and the pasta was visibly able to be twirled around a fork. Mine was warm and I had to cut it with a spoon and fork just to get it separated for many bites, which were very chewy, almost hard. The ragù was fine. The atmosphere was nice for dinner. I read some other reviews and they are definitely mixed. One of my friends who had been before warned me after I was excited to initially try the cheese wheel pasta, to be careful. She said hers was wet and vodka flavored, so I didn't get it. Similar reviews said the same. I will say the calamari was some of the best I've had lately. Not chewy at all and a lovely light batter, served with tomato sauce. I did find it odd that the sauce was cold. Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their meals so this gets the 3.5 stars.

Blueberry Lemon Drop was good, but the Watermelon was my favorite. We also tried the caramel apple and it was good too. For dinner I got the pork tenderloin sandwich with onion rings. Both were delicious and the server said all were made in house. What I loved about the onion rings was the super thick and crunchy beer batter. We also got some sort or chicken bowl that was a lot of food. Came with chips. That's not my particular thing but the person who ordered it loved it. They make all their own dressings and believe me when I tell you the spicy ranch is spicy. I loaded my onion ring up with that ranch and I thought I was going to pass out it was so hot. I still ate it just not as much at one of time. They have plenty of seating at the bar or tables inside and a few outside tables by the street where we saw people take advantage of the nice weather and brought their dogs.
