Been to Fox Garden once before and enjoyed a great meal. Today's visit was quite different. The menu has been downsized, so many items on the website were not available. Opted for the crab cakes which seemed to have added fillers verses crabmeat. Our server was really the only good thing about today's visit.

Always an amazing place to spend a night out. The food is incredible, service is great and the atmosphere is a perfect blend of laid back yet sophisticated. The perfect spot for parents night out. You have to try the bone marrow fries!

Always an incredible experience. The food, the staff, the spot... it is all phenomenal. The whipped goat cheese is a top five food experience for me. And the drinks... get out of here. I have dreams about their food.

We had a family dinner on a whim and stopped in here. The food was delicious. The portions are huge so you're sure to have lunch the next day as well. I highly recommend the beer cheese soup! They had some fun cocktails and I tried the key lime martini 10/10. Our server was fun and talkative. Definitely try to sit upstairs - it's more intimate and feels like a speakeasy. Plus this is where the best service is at ;)

Last night was our first time here. While the food, service and ambiance were all very good. I do have something I think should be known about this restaurant. We were told when we walked in for our reservation that "we should've told them that we had a child with us because the restaurant is primarily 21+". Now keep in mind it doesn't say that anywhere on the front of the restaurant and yes they don't have a kids menu but I just thought I couldn't find it. So just keep that in mind if you're wanting to take your kid. The food was really really delicious though so we will be back

If we lived closer this would be at least a weekly stop for us, if not twice weekly. We walked in without a reservation on a Wednesday evening and were seated immediately. Our server, Phil, was great and came with recommendations. We ordered the garlic Parmesan chicken bites and bread and butter spread for appetizers, both were fantastic. I appreciated the heads up on the free bread plate refills too. We ordered the Italian sausage and fish tacos for dinner, both were so tasty! We will absolutely be back soon, and have already told friends they need to visit this place!

I went to the foxgardin yesterday evening. My boyfriend and I went there for date Night. The room we were sat in was a dark setting. We were sat in the bar area. We ordered the bone marrow fries. My boyfriend loved them. Ive never had bone marrow before and didn't care for them. I had the 7oz steak mashed potatoes and asparagus it was really good. The steak was cooked perfectly. The cocktails were on the expensive side. Every cocktail was $15. I was all the was thrown off when I went to use the restroom. The restroom was trashy! Made it feel like I was in a downtown trashy bar. There was explicit words on a sign hung on the wall. We had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while.. While the service was great I wasn't WOWED. I probably won't be back to this place.

Culinary experience! Bone marrow fries. Who thought of creating it? I don't know, but they were the most savory fries we have ever had. We all chose to get different items and share. The Po Boy stood out with crisp shrimp, soft grilled bun and slightly tangy sauce. The fish tacos packed a mouth full of flavors with every bite. We all had leftovers to take home and really couldn't pick a favorite because each item was so unique and all packed flavor. Our waitress was funny and attentive. It was a slightly dark ambiance in bar area at our table and we loved mimosas for brunch. Worth the trip to Fortville!!!!

The whipped goat cheese was delicious and the bread was perfect. Service was fast and responsive. Both my partner and I felt the food was oversalted, but maybe that is a personal preference. It was definitely a bar vibe at times.

Stopped here before heading home. Absolutely delicious food! The best chicken parm I've ever had. Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu! 10/10 recommend.

Sat at the table at the end of the bar, so the bartenders took care of us. Service is over the top, friendly, engaging, and insightful-Ben and Emily were awesome!. The crabcakes were some of the best I've ever had in Indiana for sure. I decided to go with the 12 ounce fillet which was thick and masterfully cooked with the mushroom gravy, and the chef made a little side of creamy horseradish for me. our friends had the bone marrow fries, the carrots, the mac & cheese, the filet, and the pork chop along with Erin having a tenderloin. i'm telling you this place is a hidden gem and worth every penny it was spectacular.

I notice in the Foxgardin listing that it states they have wheelchair accessibility. Can someone clarify? The front entrance looks like there's a step into it. I've been told the back entrance is the same. Thanks for your help.

Hi, Richard! The back enclosed patio has a flat entry way and I think a ramp into the main bar area. It's pretty close quarters once inside the bar area so just something to be aware of. Plenty of room in that cozy patio though!

The BBQ poutine fries were so big on the tray that I felt a little ostentatious as I was carrying the tray back to my table. It felt like all of the food on my tray surely should have been going to a family. But no: All of these BBQ poutine fries were just for one gluttonous person (me). Every so often, I would get an enormous fry that was way bigger than the others. It was more like a steak fry! It was like a little baked potato. It was nice to have that variety in the appetizer (which I was treating like an entree because, again, I was eating this giant appetizer by myself without shame). One of my children opted to get the kids meal here, which is the mac & cheese with a side (he chose fries). The mac & cheese is cavatappi pasta, so it's that pleasing curly texture that kids love (my kid loved it). The Den by FoxGardin is located inside Sun King Food Hall, and it's one of the food options you have here. If you are looking for pub food, comfort food, or just plain good food, you can't go wrong with this place.

Called at 6 and got a reservation for 8, for 5 of us on a Saturday night. This is kind of an anomaly for any restaurants off Mass Ave. We were seated right away and started with drinks and apps. We got "Disco Boys" and "I'm too pretty for this" cocktails which were tasty - kudos for the fun cocktail names. Calamari, Artisan, and Charcuterie came shortly after. There's a few different options of cheeses and meats, it's sort of a choose your own adventure situation. All were good, especially the calamari. A lot of restaurants tend to overcook it and the calamari gets rubbery, not the case here. Our entrees came out next and I made sure to try a bite of everyone's LOL. The standout of all the entrees was definitely the "Duck, duck" which was, obviously, duck. The runner up would definitely have to be the chicken cacciatore. Overall, really great ambiance, food, and service. I would highly recommend Union 50 if you're looking for something fancy, but not too fancy. There have been multiple times over the course of the last several months that we've had ordering issues with both for carry out, as well as a horrible experience at the craft house. Most recently, we've tried ordering carry out from the pub house and have not been successful any time. We understand the kitchen closes an hour before the restaurant closes and have ordered well before this time frame. It seems like the online ordering may shut down 3 hours before the kitchen closes, which is what we experienced tonight. The cherry on top was calling in to place our carry out order at 915pm (kitchen closes at 11pm tonight) - someone answered (and we were like "yay!") but then were put on hold, waited for 15 min and tried to call back for the next hour and 15 min and no one answered no matter what option we selected. So what I've been able to deduce from these multiple experiences is Murphy's doesn't like carry out traffic and isn't willing to take money from local fans. It's one thing if your website says "ordering stops at 7pm" - we'd order prior to 7pm. But when it says "kitchen closes 1 hour before closing" and nothing else about carry out, no warning while preparing our order that we wouldn't be able to place the order (like other local establishments provide) or employees who could answer the phone and easily say what the actual rules are - like "I know it says online the kitchen closes 1 hour before closing but we actually stop taking carryout orders 3 hours before the kitchen closes" - then we'd be informed and be able to operate in a manner where we understand what the boundaries are. I've had business dealings with this business and it's not surprising they are as or more disorganized on the customer side as they are on the actual business side. I reached out to the owner tonight and received no response. I hope this review helps take business away from Murphy's pub house. Since we aren't allowed to give them our business, maybe no one should.
