I called Isaac HVAC and spoke with a rep in Rochester who was very empathetic to our situation. We are seniors with heart conditions and the temp was reaching 98°. We were put on the list for a very short wait time. Jordan came to our rescue. He was polite, on time and very attentive to what we were telling him regarding the air and the problems fixing it. He was done within an hour or so. The price was VERY fair. I am just amazed at the level of honesty, professionalism, courtesy and knowledge that stands behind this company. Isaac HVAC is the best. Hands down. Thank you all so very much.

Jordan thoroughly inspected my unit and troubleshooted the potential causes for the "weird noise". Once he identified the issue, he quickly checked to see if the needed part was available. He then ventured out in the foot of snow we had, picked up the part and came back and did the install. Great job!! So, again Isaac came through when needed and I appreciate the attention to detail and professionalism demonstrated by Jordan and his support team.

Though they did fix the small part to get the heat back on, they also told us our furnace was moments away from failing completely and we should put in a whole new system (including AC) as soon as possible, and that any money we spent on the service call today would go toward the new system if we installed within a certain amount of time. We were suspicious since the furnace was only 11 years old, and had another company come out for a second opinion - they said everything looked fine. It has now been 2 years and our furnace is still functioning just fine.

He was very personable with a great sense of humor which helped reduce our anxiety about anticipated costs. We opted for the tankless water heater which will increase our home value when it's time to sell. He scheduled installation within 48 hours. At 8:45 Mike arrived and asked if we had any questions before work was begun. He was joined by Blake and they worked efficiently removing the tank, installing new piping and the smaller, wall-mounted unit. During the 5 hours they were here, you could tell that they enjoyed working together, bantering back and forth. Upon completion they cleaned the area and reviewed with us how the unit works, encouraging questions. Everyone we dealt with wore masks and maintained appropriate distance. We were well-pleased with the whole process.

And I'm glad I didn't read the previous reviews - recommended or not - prior to dealing with these guys, because they were great. This started when our tenants called to let us know their furnace wasn't working. We went over and did some trouble shooting as outlined on a sticker on the furnace. No luck. The internet wasn't any more helpful. The next day we called the number on the furnace and it led us to One Hour. The technician was out within the provided timeframe. I wasn't there for it, but my co-owner kept me in the loop the whole time. The technician sounded a little nervous, but was knowledgable and helpful. After performing some diagnostic tests (and showing my co-owner along the way), it was determined that we needed a new furnace. Not news we were excited about, but we also weren't too surprised based on the age and upkeep of the original. My co-owner and the technician reviewed some options based on the size of the home and called me to help with the final decision. We opted for the mid-level version that has high energy efficiency score and came with a rebate (amoung other features). Because this all happened on a Friday, we had to wait until Monday to get the furnace and have the work done. Luckily it wasn't too cold over the weekend, so a few space heaters were sufficient to get the tennants through. On Monday, the men installing the furnace and thermostat showed up within the timeframe provided and walked us through what they would be doing and what we should expect. We didn't hear from them for a few hours, and then they were done. They completed the work within the timeframe provided (notice a trend here!) and without any issue. After the work was completed, we were once again walked through what was done and we reviewed next steps on their end and our end. The work was clean and looks great, and I fully understand what I need to do going forward to care for the unit. Like I said at the begining, I don't have anything to compare this experience to. However, I have no complaints and plan to call them for any other issues (and for my regular maintenance to make sure there are no issues!).

My son in law called this establishment and they were there in one hour. They replaced the hydrostat and called the job done without properly purging the air from the system. My son in law purchased an addition deal where they would "maintain" the system. The unit would barely heat the first floor and the 2nd floor was too cold. On a return call they said since the boiler would not maintain pressure it needed replacing as it could not be repaired. Since it was the end of the heating season it could wait. In the Fall of 2011 I replaced the expansion tank/filtroll valve, relief valve and air vent. After properly purging the air from the system it worked as well as it did some 30 years ago on installation. The parts for this repair were less than $100. As a consequence of the "maintenance deal" they returned and admitted the boiler was working correctly and it _still_ needed replacing because it was old and inefficient. They did no diagnostic to rate the efficiency of the unit what so ever. Given the price of natural gas has dropped considerably the return on such an investment seemed meager at best. These scoundrels should never be hired to maintain any hot water baseboard heating system. They also had the mendacity to put a "Ben Franklin the Punctual Plumber" sticker on the gas fired water heater! 4/19/2014 - Two heating seasons later and this boiler unit is operating flawlessly. 4/14/2016 - Four heating seasons later and this boiler unit is operating flawlessly. At the start of the 3rd season the $8 air vent had to be replaced. These companies have hired Mike Rowe for a shill. I use to think he was entertaining. Now I will avoid anything he promotes! 5/25/2016 Now CLOSED! Has Duffett Plumbing & Heating dumped the franchise and now operating with their old name?

The duct work is pretty clean looking and streamlined. With my house being a new build, I suppose you'd expect that the temperature would be comfortable with little wasted energy, but in many respects this is a testament to the quality furnace and duct work Vastola did install. Moreover, the humidifier does a bang up job as well. I'm was a little disappointed about a service call I had to make after we moved in. Our dryer is vented from the laundry room on the second floor to the side of the house, not the roof. Therefore, Vastola ran the vent across the joists of the attic floor. When I finally had a chance to get into the attic to store some things, I noticed the overwhelming smell of dryer exhaust. I checked out the vent and noticed it had come unattached from the outside wall. We called Vastola about the issue, and they came out to fix it, however, they were really defensive when they did so, almost as if they were accusing us of deliberately sabotaging our own dryer vent, which of course is ridiculous. I love dryer vents and would never do anything to harm one of them.

I normally don't leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience so others can…read moremake an informed decision. My wife and I hired Vastola Heating & Cooling to install a new furnace and air conditioning system after being quoted approximately $11,800. During the sales presentation, we were told we had been approved for a loan at 9.99% interest. The salesperson explained that our payment would be approximately $178 per month, or about $205 per month if we added the annual maintenance program. At no point did we believe we were signing a lease agreement. We were never told that the payments would increase over time or that we would have to pay thousands of dollars to purchase the equipment at the end of the agreement. It wasn't until I contacted the leasing company myself that I learned the buyout amount would be approximately $11,800. We've had the agreement for 2 1/2 years and have already paid $6,000, so it was shocking to find out we still owe the same amount as when we started. I questioned whether I had misunderstood something, so I sought independent opinions from two HVAC companies--one in Hamburg and one in Lockport. I showed them both the lease agreement. Based on their review, both told me that the agreement appeared to have been presented as a loan rather than a lease and that, in their opinion, the situation should be corrected. One also told me that in 20 years of business, he had never heard of an HVAC company leasing a furnace and air conditioner to a customer, and that it seemed very shady. Since discovering these issues, I have made every effort to resolve the matter directly with Vastola Heating & Cooling. I left a voicemail for management, sent a detailed letter outlining my concerns, and requested a response. I did hear back from the owner, Dan, who seems like a nice guy. However, he explained that his salesperson, CJ, should have explained the ins and outs of the lease, including that I would have to buy out my air conditioner and furnace at the end of 10 years, that my payment would increase every two years, and that if I did not want to buy it out, I would have to return the equipment. That sounds crazy when you pay almost $30,000 by the end of the program they signed me up for. I asked Dan if there was any possibility that his salesperson had not explained this to me, because that is truly what happened, but he said that was impossible, that they are trained very well, and that he does not believe that happened. I understand sticking up for your employees, but in the end we agreed on a price, and now my family is going to have to pay double that. I'm sharing my experience because I believe consumers should carefully review every financing document and ask very specific questions about whether they are signing a loan or a lease. Based on my experience, I felt that the financing arrangement was not presented to us in a clear and transparent manner, and I remain disappointed that my attempts to resolve the issue directly have gone nowhere. I sincerely hope Vastola Heating & Cooling chooses to address this matter fairly, but until then, I cannot recommend them based on my experience.
