After finally locating someone to help were told that even though everything is advertised on sale, NOTHING was available in a reasonable time frame. So went the Keith's. We bought a clothes washer and dryer at their Mystic location February 2021. The items were delivered promptly. The sales people were very pleasant. However, it has been over a week and the appliances are still sitting in my laundry space, the installation not completed. If their installer comes today, as promised, it will be the third attempt to install. First time, wrong stacking kit, second time the washer drain hose was too short. I can tell you the third time will be the last because if not completed today we will send the appliances back and go elseware. Icing on the cake, the invoice is unclear as to the exact items and charges. read more

Bought a new gas stove from Keith's. The salesman, an older gentleman, was very nice and somewhat informative of the brands there. We picked a model out and noticed some scratches on the stainless steel panel surrounding the touch screen as well as a dent in the warming draw. We were assured they would replace the imperfections. They did and the stove was delivered on time and installed effortlessly. I would recommend Keith's for your appliance needs. read more

Trash company with trash customer service. I spent TWO GRAND at this place. The fridge started leaking ONE month after i bought it, I called to get it repaired. Do not shop here. We were new to the area and wanted to buy the new washer and dryer we needed for our new home from a locally owned store, several contacts, including our realtor, recommended Keith's. The sales staff was nice, helpful, and informative, however that is where the good service ends. The deliverymen were rude and unhelpful. They arrived at our home outside the time window we were given, they called me, however I was on the phone at the time and they didn't leave a message, upon seeing my surprise at seeing them at my house hours before our delivery window they said "we called but no one answered the phone number we were given", they then tracked mud all through our house, asked me to sign the delivery form and told me they "didn't know how" to reverse the swing on my dryer door and maybe my husband could figure it out for me. Once we began occupying the house and using the washer/dryer we discovered the water splitter that was installed had been slowly leaking, Keith's sent their service tech out to fix it, he made some remark to my husband about "those idiots who installed this used the wrong size o-ring", we thought that was quite unprofessional for someone to be calling their colleagues idiots in front of clients. The leak caused about $4,000 of water damage to our home, Keith's management has insisted that the leak was due to a faulty part not an incorrect installation, as their service tech implied, because the splitters come with the O-rings pre-installed, however they refuse to help us to resolve the damage to our home. The washer and dryer are lovely and I've recommended the models to several people, but with explicit instructions not to purchase from Keith's. Response to Keith's: The Consumer Protection Bureau's response was that they were "unsuccessful in obtaining a resolution to my complaint" meaning that Keith's was unwilling to work with CPB. I've heard your response to my complaint, this doesn't change the fact that your delivery men were rude and incompetent and there is $4000 or more of damage to my home that was a result of the purchase of materials and services from your business. I've filed the claim with my insurance, but I'm still out the cost of my deductible. I was advised by my insurance agent that filing a claim could later result in a sur-charge on my insurance or should we have need of filing other claims in the future could cause our insurance company to drop our coverage. As I told Keith's the age of my flooring shouldn't matter, there was nothing wrong with it before and it is now a health-hazard as a breeding ground for mold. Additionally photos and videos taken by Keith's service tech were taken after we had shut-off the main water valve, mopped up standing water on hard surfaces, and run a large dehumidifier on high speed overnight to minimize damage. read more

Not interested in the customer. Maybe I don't spend enough. This was my second purchase after buying my stove, I bought a new fridge. After a delivery mess up on there end and a total lack of communication I shared the experience in there feedback link and when a manager called me. Instead of words like " I hear you" or "you have every right to be fustrated " I was accused of beating up on the sales person and basically turned me into the bad guy. It was like, "how dare you complain". This girls additude was the opposite of customer service. She made it more than it was and turned me from just disappointed and frustrated to just plain angry. So now I'm left looking elsewhere for a washer and dryer. I hope this isn't policy and just the individual, I have my suspicious it was just her however that still leaves me searching for another appliance store, heaven forbid you say anything bad about them. We recently purchased a dishwasher this month. We received great customer service from sales to delivery! This is our second time we purchased appliances. Our Salesman Rob was exceptional with the time he took with us. All of the staff in the evening were very friendly and we did not feel rushed even though we were there on a week day evening. We've purchased several appliances over the last 3years from Keith's, and we've been very happy with them. However the electric panel needed to be replaced on our 3 year old lightly used washer. It was 4 months past the warranty. It was distressing, because it was a space saver machine that exactly fit into the laundry closet. To replace the part was nearly the cost of a new machine. And finding another washer to fit would be difficult. We only used them 6 months of the year. After emailing Keith's and explaining our plight to the owner, she was able to get the manufacturer, Electrolux, to provide to part for free and we will pay for installation. I am very happy with that. I get to keep my washer and dryer set that fits perfectly. The technician who came to the house was very good. And the salesman who helped us in the showroom was very accommodating. But best of all is the owner who understood and went to bat for us. You can bet when we need our next appliances (hopefully not too soon), we'll go to Keith's again. read more

I had a mixed experience. The price and purchase transaction was very good, but that's where my satisfaction ended. I was told delivery would be between 3 and 5 pm. Five o'clock passed, then six. Since this was a Saturday and they closed at 5, calling them to find out what was happening was not an option (I tried; no answer). Due to my work schedule, arranging another delivery day and time was going to be a huge hassle, and likely leave me with no washer for another week. I also had canceled plans I had on Saturday afternoon to accommodate the delivery. I ended up getting a call after 6 from the delivery men. When I complained about the no show, they said "oh, someone was supposed to call you from the shop." They showed up at 6:30, not very apologetic (in fact, they seemed a bit stressed out). They delivered the unit, took my old one outside, and never said goodbye or thank you or anything, they just left, which I thought was rude. I had sent an email to the salesman before getting the call from the delivery men complaining about the no show and telling him how much it inconvenienced me. He never replied or apologized, nor did anyone from Keith's. It was just ignored (and yes, I check spam, and you also have my phone number). After reading some other reviews on them and considering my own experience, it seems they have an issue with communication after the sale - from the shop, from the salesman, from the drivers. They communicate when it suits them (to make a sale; to make a request for customers to write reviews (which they contacted me for both by email and text message), and to reply to reviews such as this that hurt their reputation). But they don't communicate when it suits the customer. If I was in charge of things at Keith's (I ran a retail business for 30 years), I would get to work ASAP on the communication problem. It's not easy being an independent in today's marketplace, and things like this have irreparably harmed many a business. They are especially accountable since they have claimed for years to be "customer committed" in their ads. I didn't experience that. So overall, I was disappointed with them and was not left with a good impression. I could have bought the same washer at the same price from one of the large chain stores. which I was going to do. I've used them many times before, and have not had these problems. I will probably go that route again next time. I tried supporting the local guy, so my conscience is clear. read more

Old fashioned personal service. After a very disappointing experience with trying to get a washing machine delivered from Home Depot, we bought exactly the machine we wanted at Keith's and had it delivered. There were 2 delivery date choices, our convenience. The store called the night before to double check and the crew called the day of delivery. They took out the old machine, installed the new machine and started a test. We wanted to make some changes with our plumbing, so they gave us advice and left. Everything was as promised. We ended up spending about $100 less than at HD and, with the new plumbing, which we completed very simply, the new machine is fine. The main point is that the whole experience was simple, as promised, and completed with humans on every contact, not with recorded messages. We'll be back. read more

My husband and I were refurbishing a summer house. We were new to the area and were unsure as to where we should purchase our appliances. Our contractor recommended Keith's. We visited and the store and spoke to Rob (who is extremely knowledgeable and understands customer needs.) The selection was great and we were pleased with the pricing. Do not use Keiths Appliance for service or sales our refrigerator stoped cooling so we had there service man come out to diagnosis the problem. He spoke to my wife and recomened a new refrigerator she was told possible compresser was at fault and repair would cost $450. to $500. then charged $136.00 for the inspection with that said, she went to Keiths to purchase a new one. The one she wanted could not be located and they never called back to confirm a del date. She found the one she wanted at a diffrent store and purchased it. Here is the kicker I am master certified auto repair tech and have my own shop. (including a/c refrigerant !!) after pulling the unit from the wall I saw the condensor filled with dust I cleaned the condensor and it is working like new when she called Keiths to explian what happend the store manager just laughed it her. Poor customer service from repairs to sales and back to management. I own a small buisness in town and would never treat a woman they way they did from misdiagnosis to follow up on a sale and managment thinking its funny when they made a mistake and charged for it plus trying to upsell something not needed. stay away from keiths. read more

So I want to support the local stores in area for a refrigerator since mine was leaking all over the place. I go on -line and purchase a fridge that specifically said in ad " get it today express delivery" Lie one. When I called they said that was a misprint need to order it can be delivered on Friday( as I write this on Friday that ad still exists). Lie two will get it between 1 and 4 on Friday- as I write this review it is 5:52 on Friday night and have been sitting here four hours waiting. I am now THREE MONTHS without a dishwasher, and yes, I thought it would be fun for us/kids wash the dishes. The thrill is gone though. Three repair visits, two blown circuit boards and still not one, but two repairmen have yet to figure it out. To their credit, I have not been billed (yet) for service calls, but guys, I want my dishwasher fixed. I emailed the manufacturer to see if there is anyone else nearby that can repair it and sadly they are the only show in the area. Waiting today to see if this part/this guy can get it done. Servide department also does NOT return calls. They will come between 12 and 5. How about the next time they want to see the doctor, the doctor tells them to come between 12 and 5 and they will be seen sometime in that interval. Next time, I'm going to Sears. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! I'm not sure where to start. We purchased two high end Electrolux washer and drier from you with extended warranty. On November 10th a tech came out to look at the issue ( E 61 code). The man ordered a part. Fast forward to after thanksgiving I called and spoke with Hope in service to check the status of the part. She told me it hadn't been shipped and she isn't sure when it will be. I called back the next week and got the same answer from Hope. I called back since at this point it was almost 3 weeks with this on going issue and spoke with Bobi. She called to check in on the part and they were going to over night it! Week 4 the part finally came in and a tech came to install it. He tested the drier and seemed fine and left. I did a load of laundry and of course the drier was still giving that E 61 code! The same tech came back and figured out it was the motor. Part was ordered! At this point we are beyond fed up with your company! I called dec 15th and spoke with Bobi to check the status of the new parts only one part is in and the other part is still to arrive . At this point it won't be fixed until after Christmas and it will be over a month and half of this nightmare!! You say you are a "family run business" you sure don't give that above and beyond family run business customer services! We are a family of 5 with small young children and you have NOT once apologized or ask if you could cover the cost to wash and fold or even better bring a loaner in until the problem is fixed!! After dealing with kids with the stomach bug this weekend. Trying to wash and dry without a drier we will NEVER do business with you again nor will we refer you to friends and family!! read more

This store was a huge disappointment. The older salesman laughed at my price and told he I had a Black Friday special and refused to match the price. When I showed him the receipt with a 12/2/17 date he was rude and told me to go to Lowe's which he couldn't compete with because of their large volume. Their price match guarantee is a bad joke. The younger sales woman was more pleasant and understood my frustration. They are a service for warranty work on an expensive $1100.00 a/c unit I purchased (not from them), however they are paid by the manufacturer to service warrantees. I was first refused service while receiving sarcastic remarks by the phone girls. They stated the manufacturer's paperwork was a "crock" and the fact that they told me to call Keith's for warranty service was also a 'crock" and what SHE would have done if it was her. Then finally a serviceman was sent out who stayed 4 minutes never even interested in checking my slip for proof of purchase. He stated he would get back to me after he contacted the manufacturer. 1 week later I called only to find out he wrote down the opposite stating all the stuff wrong with my unit, what I should have done and I shouldn't have listened to the manufacturer. The service woman also stated that he wrote that he told me (good luck with the company) and the lady giggled as she mimicked his writings. FYI, the manufacturer has excelled at taking care of the issues aside from having to deal with Keith's again. We purchased a refrigerator through another vendor and was instructed to use Keith's for the warranty service by the Whirlpool manufacter. The door service work did not correct the issue after two separate visits and finally door reordered - not once but three times (wait tine of 6 weeks each reorder)! The third door came and was not acceptable to us and I when called to confirm reordering they said to find another provider they refuse to service us because we didn't purchase item through them. That we had to take the unacceptable door or nothing. The store manager (Jessica) and service manager (Barbara) were both extremely blunt and disrespectful. i would NEVER purchase anything through them. read more

In 2013, I purchased a refrigerator and dishwasher for a home I rent out by the week. I purchased the service contract for both. On Saturday August 13, 2016 I called to set up an appointment because the dishwasher wasn't draining. They told me that the guy who serviced my area was on vacation. I explained that I had a weekly renter who had paid for a vacation house with a dishwasher and could they send someone else on Monday. I was told by Hope in the service department that no, they were all booked and the earliest they could get to me was on August 23, 10 days out. I was also told that if I called anyone else to fix the problem, the warrantee would be void. What the hell is the service contract good for if you have to wait 10 days for a repair person. If the washer had been in my home, I would have dealt with the wait but when you are taking money for a vacation rental and it is advertised to have a dishwasher, 10 days is not acceptable. I will never purchase another appliance of any kind from Keith's Appliance. Thankfully, Morgan and White in Groton came to the rescue on Tuesday August 16 and happily fixed the problem!
