My husband brought his Camaro in for a sputtering issue. They diagnosed it and fixed it in a reasonable amount of time. They were fair in price and told him exactly what needed to be done. So, the next week I made an appt to bring in my car to have the AC looked at. It blows cold air, but only the floor and Defogger vents worked. They surmised it was likely an actuator that went out, gave me a quote for diagnosing it and a ballpark figure depending on how bad it was. They do charge a diagnostic fee, but apply it to your overall bill if they perform the repairs. They called and told me what was wrong, and how much it would cost. This quote was smack in the middle of the ball park figure they told me off the bat. They ordered the part from the dealership told me what day it would be in. I dropped my car off and it was ready within 2hrs. They do give a little discount if you pay cash or debit. I live life with a service dog and this place gets 4 paws up for accessibility. No issues at all. On the whole, I'm super pleased with them and will likely be back for some more issues in the future. read more

It takes a lot for me to write a bad review first of all. Second I'll just leave my most recent experience for everyone to read. I brought my car in a week ago for warranty repairs. I was assured they would be able to handle the work. My car had a horrible throttle body problem that apparently only I could diagnose. After I week of my calling.. I had to go in myself and drive it with one of the technicians that instantly knew what the problem was. ( I took it in for, the throttle body which I told them ahead time was the issue) I was then told that the warranty wouldn't cover the issue and I owed $220 just to get my car back and take it to the correct shop. When I did all of the work? My goodness. Keith came out of the back and yelled at me when I was explaining my frustration and I was instructed never to come back again and customers like me aren't welcome. Ok. Will do! Do not ever come to this shop. They will rip you off and scam you for every penny they can. Doesn't matter if your entire family has been coming for 15 years. Update: Vets, seniors beware, if I just save a few people from getting the shafted, I'm happy, praise God for the power of the internet. They destroyed my AC that was working perfectly, went in for a blend door actuator quoted me 995, after replaced and parts I did not request the total came to over $1,200. They blew my compressor, evaporator,, had to get that replaced , from a other trusted repair shop of course, so the total cost to get my truck fixed after Keith's was $2100, I offered for Keith's to only pay me for the defective part they put in, and then I got the song and dance, God forgive them doing this to a vet and a senior read more

Took my 1960 Corvette here to have a few mechanical things repaired. They had the car for over a month and managed to only get one thing done. I began calling, asking what is going on due to the length of time it was taking. I was told they were locating parts and waiting for someone else to get back to them regarding rebuilding the gear box. I then went in there one day to check on my car. Keith (the owner) passive aggressively told me, "Your car is nothing." I was caught off guard not knowing how to respond. After a few days of having his remark settle in, I called and informed him to stop doing any more work on my car and I would be picking it up. When I picked it up the following day, there was bird shit all over it. I guess this is how they treat their customers when they can't standby their word and get the job done. It's just a place to take your car. Very honest reliable and they get your car done in time. Very good people

This shop is a scam! The only employee that was helpful (Jarred) moved onto another shop. The owner is rude and does not know how to properly communicate so he will yell at you instead. I took my car in because my engine light and oil light came on. They worked on my car for a few weeks, and I scheduled a pickup with the owner as I live in Yosemite. I was given a time frame and the owner's number for the arrival time. I called the number given and it was a fax number so I called the shop number and left multiple messages but the owner did not get back to me, so I stayed at the shop for 45 minutes but no one came so I could not drive back with my car. I had to make arrangements to get back to Yosemite as it's 2 hours away and when I called them back on Monday, I got no apology . The owner Keith said an employee gave me the wrong number and their shop voicemail doesn't work. He said he was at the shop at 10am but that was a lie because I waited 45 minutes, and he then told me he was at the shop at 11 he didn't mean to say 10am. Sure! When I finally go get my car and drove away, all the same lights came back on; engine, add oil light, and my steering wheel felt out of alignment. My radio was not working anymore, and they said they did not touch the radio and that was not on them. I was driving home which is 2 hours away and my steering wheel felt loose from below and was sliding. I was very scared to drive through the mountain pass. I took my car into the garage here in Yosemite, I thought maybe my tire was going to pop but they informed me the screws were not tightened and it was very dangerous for me to drive in this condition. I called Keiths Auto, and they told me to bring it back in, so I did the following week. I told the owner my concerns and he did not want to listen to what I was saying. He tried to deny the screws being loose, but I had videos from the other mechanic. I paid almost 3k for this job to be done and the work was not done properly. I asked for a partial refund, and he said, "lady you aint getting more than $100 from me." I told him that is completely unfair that all the same misfire notifications are coming back on including my add oil when I just paid for oil leaks plus an oil service. He yelled at me to get out of his shop while his workers were around. I was so shocked none of the other men were trying to help with the situation. I felt defeated and taken advantage of. He said the engine code that is now on is due to the catalytic converter because of the work they had done which I was surprised he said that and so I told him I wanted my refund if the work they did caused more damage. He then back tracked and said he knew I wasn't informed about the catalytic converter and proceeded to blame his employee that no longer works there for not telling me. I told him I was going to report him to the Better Business Bureau and he said he didn't care. So, I left with my car not being properly fixed and scammed by this man and his shop. I am going to proceed with small claims court although that will take some time but I'll make time and be patient because the way this owner conducts business is not ok. read more

IF YOU'RE THINKING OF GOING HERE, DONT. I took my car to Keith's to get a few different things worked on a few weeks ago. My first visit there, I asked them to fix my heater, my left turn signal, and my drivers side window. They fixed everything (so I thought) so I picked up my car and paid them about $500. But then I went to check if my heater was working and it wasn't. It was blowing regular air, not heated at all. So I very unfortunately had to bring my car back to them (this was my mistake). I brought it back and they promised to fix it and they said I wouldn't be charged. Well of course we get a phone call and they explained to us that it was a completely different issue and it was going to be another $400 to fix it. So I reluctantly said yes, and let them keep my car in their care. This is where things started to go REALLY SOUTH. I went to pick up my vehicle (after paying another $400) and I notice this HUGE DENT in the side of my car. Pictures don't do it justice. I couldn't even open my drivers side door without metal scraping together. I immediately call out one of the mechanics to look at it, and he kept asking "are you sure that wasn't already there?" To which I kept saying "yes I'm positive this WASNT HERE". He then became very apologetic and assured me that they had security cameras and that they would review the footage (he also said he would share the footage with us) and that they had insurance so I didn't need to worry and this would get figured out. I waited for a call the next day and no one called, so I called the store myself. Well, they must have caller ID because they refused to answer my three phone calls I made in a row, but when I dialed *67 and called from a "private number" someone answered on the first ring. Super frustrating and very suspicious. I asked them for an update and I was told they were "having trouble reviewing the footage and needed to call in an expert". What the heck does that even mean? Seems to me they were buying time to cover their tracks. Well, I waited for their call and still heard nothing, so I had to have MY FATHER CALL THEM FOR ME. He spoke to them and they said "yeah sorry nothing on the security footage! You're going to have to open a claim with your insurance!" They went from being super helpful and accommodating to ignoring me and being secretive. Seems as though someone there hit my car and now they are trying to hide it from me. After speaking with my insurance, I discovered that mechanic shops are much more protected than the consumer, so they get to claim no responsibility AND they don't have to share the security footage with me. So I'm stuck with a dented car and a HUGE BILL to fix it. And the huge bill I already got from them. Oh and one of the best parts?? My heater still wasn't fixed. AFTER ALL OF THAT. so I had to bring my car back to them to fix or basically eat the $500. So I had to bring my car back to scumbags who dent vehicles. They now claim it wasn't them, and it must have been someone else from when they parked it on the street. But my concern is, why are you parking your customers vehicles on the street?? Where they aren't protected?? But they get to park their own cars on the lot and keep them safe. Regardless if it was someone else or if it was them, they should have taken responsibility because my car was in their care when it happened. Also, my car was parked right outside their front door, so I know that their security footage would've caught who did it. So if it really wasn't their fault, it's interesting they felt the need to keep the footage from me. I work really hard for my money, and I work really hard to keep my car in nice condition. And now to no fault of my own, I trusted these people with my vehicle and they sent it back to me looking like this. And I can't afford to get it fixed. So I'm stuck with a messed up car and a bill I can't afford. If you care at all about your car, please don't go here. They park it on the street and don't take care of it. Also they'll ignore your phone calls! Oh and the funniest part, after they dented my car, I got inside the vehicle and they left me a $5 off coupon off my next service. WOW FIVE WHOLE DOLLARS?! THANK YOU SO MUCH THAT TOTALLY MAKES UP FOR THE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF DAMAGE YOU DID AND THE ALMOST $1000 I PAID FOR YOU TO FIX MY CAR :))) (sarcasm) this place is laughable and I recommend you go anywhere else but here! Wish i could give zero stars.. this place is an absolute scam. The mechanic there is an absolute douche bag even to his co workers. Brought my car in last friday and said they could work on it the following tuesday for a loose wire electric issue. Dont get a call until Wednesday saying my ignition switch needs to be replaced (which it does not) just have to put the parking column in place when parked. I said "Ok, how much? was told $690 and then he said $590. That is ridiculously priced.. then i was gonna go ahead and let them but im so glad i did not. So i called on thursday to ask how it was going with my car, he said he would talk to the tech and get back to me .. never did. So i call again friday, he said sorry he forgot and still didnt work on my car or order part which he said he did.. So i said to just let me pick the car up and called it off. They charged me $175 for literally moving my car and that is it, never did a diagnostic or ANYTHING!.. place is a straight up rip off. The owner charged me and said he is technician (pos) would explain to me.. which he was rude as hell and said he has no time and has a "shit load of cars ahead of me" then why take my car in? This place is unprofessional and a scam. They will rip you off at every chance they get. Imagine if i paid for that and they kept adding more and more for a 1998 malibu? would have been over $1000 for simple repairs.. stay away! I've taken many cars to Keith over the years. My family trusts Keith and his mechanics to do great job every time, and at a fair price.

I've been in the area only a couple of years, and didn't have a mechanic. Took my car to the dealership last year for an oil change and checkup. Recently had some strange engine noises that I thought probably needed some attention. Called the dealership and their next available appointment we five weeks away. Screw that. And their upsells. And being on the other side of town. Knowing I needed to get something fixed, I advertised to friends that I needed a mechanic that they trusted. Did a little digging on reviews online. Found Keith's. Close to where I live, good reviews online. Thought I'd try. Took it to their shop and they plugged in some sort of hand-held sensor and spotted the problem. They gave me two prices for the potential fix. One about $200 and the other about $400 if they had to cut the body open (so to speak). I had no choice, so told them to do what they needed to fix the issue. Keith's called me back latter that day (also got a text) that it was a $200 problem and not a $400 problem. If they were not reputable, they could have easily charged the higher price because lets face it; nobody knows how modern autos work nowadays. And they checked around for belts, fluids, filters, etc. Friendly, professional, timely service. Car runs like a dream and I have confidence that I don't have to worry about any obvious issues. I couldn't be happier. As an aside, when I first brought the car in, I asked a lady waiting in line if she used Keith's before and if they were any good. They used to be good... Not anymore. I took my car in for a noise when I brake... In August of 2020 they supposedly worked on the rear brakes... The noise was still there... I only put 1500 miles in 8 months... I took my car back for the same noise... They fixed the front brakes in March of 2021... The noise was still there in April of 2021... They charged me to adjust the brakes... Even after a test drive with the noise still there... They never fixed the problem... But they charged me almost a grand to fix.. Took my bmw for intake leak last week did not hear from the shop till 5 days later when I went to pick up my husbands hadicap card that I had left in the bmw, Keith mention to us that they failed to get my phone number correct and failed in writting down the reason why I took my car in, they suppossedly fixed the a.c which I did not ask and I did not give permission I noticed my car was not in the shop they had it parked down the street across in front of another shop now I take really good care of my car always cautious of where I park it, I walk up to see another car (also being fixed by keiths shop) pressing in my rear bumber they literly parked a car behind mine where it caused some damage to my bumber, so my husband that is handicap went in to let keith know the situation one of the employees admited hitting my car,they did not apologize for damaging my car and probably did not mention it to the owner of the other vehicle when my husband mentioned that he was going to have to call our insurance keith yelled at him and said drive your car to the back of the shop and someone will fix it and was charging him for something we did not ask for but my husband was wiiling to pay so while pulling his money out my husband said he was gonna do an insurance claim keith started yelling again and threw the keys at my husband and told him to get the F&^% out of here in front of some of his employees. We have never felt so disrespected I seen the good reviews but now I see how the bad reviews are put way at the bottom. Reading the bad reviews it sounds like Keith has some anger issues he has no business running a shop. I really suggest if you appreciate your car dont ever take your car to keiths, IF I WOULDN'T OF SHOWED UP THAT DAY HE WOULD NOT HAVE MENTIONED THE DAMAGE HE DID TO MY CAR . Keith is ready to repair your car early, opens at 7am. Took my car to Keith twice for separate issues and was very pleased with service. He was timely and resolved my issues. For people who aren't mechanically inclined, sometimes when taking car to a mechanic, it feels like you're not sure if you're being a overcharged for services. In my case I went in expecting a high repair charge on my Lexus for power steering issue and was surprised it was an "easy" reasonably priced belt issue. He could have told me my power steering pump needed replacement and i would probably paid for it. read more

This place deserves less than one star...got a coupon for a free oil change and the owner of this business treated me as if helping me was a hassle. I was turned away twice to redeem the offer, then when asking questions, I was yelled at, accused as a liar, and hung up on several times. Keiths automotive repair inPinedale ca. I went to this business a year ago. It was a terrible experience! I had a air air conditioning issue. First i just had it serviced. Then a few months later i went back to Keiths automotive in pinedale since i went before and it was fine. My blower went out he stated. So i went in and he put a new one on. I picked up my suv and when i turned on ac it was loud like thunder. The gas pedal had a awful vibration! I called Keith when i got home and told him somethings wrong. My vehicle has never had these issues. He said its new , give it a few days. So i did Two days later i took it in. I stated something is wrong. So he got in my suv, turned it on. Then he got out and asked me to open my hood. I was a bitt miffed but did so. He stated and showed me my motor mounts and stated that was where the noise and vibration was coming from. I said , but its inside my suv and its only when the ac is on. So that was that. I had to live with it or fix my motor mounts .... Two months went by and i went in and told him the noise is terrible... still he didnt try to even investigate or get in my suv to really listen to it! As life happened, some time went by. I needed my ac serviced again. I went to him as he was my mechanic and close to me. Also i like to support local business's .this time he got inside and FINALLY heard the noise. He stated there could be paper in it. Come in and we will take apart and see. i thought , great ! He said thats an awful noise. I said yes it is So i went in to see him. First he wanted to charge me an hours Labor! I said why do i have to pay after ive already paid 212 dollars! I told him i cant afford that. So i left. My mom was in my suv and she said , why havent i gone back to him? I told her what happened and he was hard to deal with. . So i thought i would go to an ac business and just pay to find out whats wrong so i could go back and tell him so that way he'd know whats wrong and just switch them out without charging me labor....they opened it up, in which took less that 5 minutes, and there was no paper. They stated it was defective. They put back on in an instance. They have over 40 yrs experience. Yes , i should have went there, my first mistake. So i went to see Keith to tell him . After a year of dealing with him and the situation, i was frustrated with his unprofessional aproach about this problem! i went in and said we need to fix this ac blower.i shouldnt have to pay anything i felt. I felt he should honor his work! He was rude when i walked in. No hello, smile , nothing. I told him that i told him i went and found out that there is no paper in it and it was defective. He got up and said , bring it in and i will look at it. I said do i have to pay for that? He said yes, its an hours work! By now ive had it. So he just got up while i was talking, went into where the cars were and left me standing there. Mind you im a paying customer. Before this blower incident he's been ok. I had to walk in the back to finish conversation. He was sweeping. I said i would like a refund, because at this point i didnt want to have any further work done by him. He yelled at me and said theres no refunds, its on your reciept. So i took my reciept out and asked him to show me where it states that? He yelled again and stated his back hurt, his worker called in sick, he was by himself all day and he shouldnt even be there ! I said i just want my money back. He yelled again and said , bring it in on friday!! I stated , i cant believe your speaking to me like this, im your customer!?!? he snapped back, how about how your talking to me!? Unbelievable!! He still was yelling about his day and problems as i turned and left. this was a Wednesday. I was so upset that he was talking to me in this manner, a customer not his family member! I was appalled and didnt want to ever see him again! So i went back to the other ac place . He told me to go to auto zone, buy the blower and he would put on. I did. Went back, the fella switched them out in 10 min and charged me 20. not an hours labor indeed!!!! The blower was 92 dollars. So i paid 112 dollars verses 212! I do not recommend Keiths auto !!! He is a big ripoff , overcharges, and will not back his work up without recharging you to do so! Do not go there! He is not friendly and he treats the customer with no respect! Since the new blower, there was immediately no noise, no vibration and ac works great! I rate this business as a big fat zero!!! read more

I took my car here for a battery issue which they addressed by replacing with a new battery. However, they lost my key. It was replaced, but not by a "like" key just a cheap basic substitute. I felt that they should have at least discounted the service or the battery as a result of their negligence, but they did not. I expected better customer service from them. read more

I've been to Keith's a few times. He's straight forward and to the point on everything. In my experience he has been very fair on labor costs. I also like that he/his mechanics don't search out every possible little thing which might be slightly at risk of a future failure. Even when I had some doubt about the cost of his recommended alternator, he was very honest about why he preferred that alternator and what alternatives were available. read more
