The cold weather had caused the battery in my Tahoe to fail - sending the car into a stall while displaying weird error messages...it was 11am, pouring down rain and I desperately needed the car for important meetings the next day. My first call to a Chevy Dealer let me know that they could not even look at my Tahoe until the next day - not even for a quick diagnosis. By contrast, the service manager at Hedricks approved a diagnostic check the same day - which showed that it was all battery related. Within 2 hours, working with Julian, my car had a new battery and I was on my way. Some dealers provide service - while others epitomize the spirit of service. From the moment I mentioned warranty the lady behind the counter bombarded me with questions to the effect. Could your vehicle have caused the part to malfunction , could I have had something to do with it malfunctioning. I have been working on cars since I was 14 years old and I am 52 now. I think I know a thing or two about cars. As I mentioned before If the part was covered under the warranty Great, if not, so be it. I still needed the part. In the end I ended up getting a partial warranty price on a very pricey part BUT I sure could have done without the rude 3rd degree treatment.
