I called these guys, and they were at my house to tow my truck to Crown Motors. When the arrived (in ten minutes), one of the guys asked me what was wrong with the truck, and I told him I had somehow activated the "Theft" mode by using the non-transponder key, and the engine wouldn't turnover. He asked for my key, went over and played with the door lock for a few seconds, then put the key in my ignition--and the engine started right up. I was amazed! He called his boss to get the cost, and the boss told him no charge, but remember them the next time I needed a tow. I will certainly remember them, and will use no other tow company in town. After all, they were going to get $110 for the tow, but chose instead to help me out, which cost them the entire amount. Thank you, Josh, and Keith's Towing. I'll remember you next time! read more

This place felt super sketchy and clearly money-hungry. My car was towed, and when I went in to ask how much it would cost to pick it up the same day, they gave me one price. Since the car wasn't registered in my name, they sent me to RPD to get a release form. RPD told me I needed a notarized letter because the actual owner was out of town. I called Keith's Towing to ask if they'd accept the notarized letter, and they said no--they still wanted a release form. I asked to speak with a supervisor, and some woman just hung up on me. Later, RPD contacted them directly, and suddenly their attitude changed. Clearly, they weren't expecting to be held accountable. When I finally went back to pay, the price they gave me earlier had mysteriously dropped. Whole situation felt dishonest and shady. Definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone--they're a joke. read more

Break down time to confirmation call to pickup was 20 mins on a Saturday. Drivers name was jason he was amazing taking care in every step of the towing experience. Performed a walk around with me before and after tow, driver was very experienced in his trade and it showed. He has a very friendly personality engaging in conversation the entire duration of the drive of the tow and making sure to drop the truck where I needed it when we arrived at my house. I only give 5 stars on rare occasions, but Keith's Towing certainly deserves it. On 10/20/2023 I had a blow out on the left front tire of my Mercedes SL. I was 15 miles from Redding, CA on a road trip and was able to contact AAA for service. They immediately contacted Keith's Towing and Josh was dispatched to provide towing service to me. He came within 20 minutes. I thought that was super quick, because I was stranded on the side of the road. Josh, the tow driver was friendly, courteous and professional. We got the vehicle loaded and delivered to a tire store in Redding within an hour, which was great. I can't say enough about Keith's and the reliable, expeditious response! Terrible money grabbing company. First giving wrong information about releasing my son's car (a minor) delaying release. Charging extortionate rates, and service fees (because there is no other option). Today my wife had the worst experience with kieths towing. The drivers name was Mathew. He was called for a flat tire. He showed up and was rude from the start,he began to pick the front of the car up amd was going to tow it on the flat tire/rim.my wife proceeded to tell him that she bought that was a bad idea mean while 2 other people were watching this happen and told him that this was wrong.So Mathew the little man that he is began yelling/cursing at my wife.doped the car on the ground and drove off. I called kieths towing and began telling them what happend ,while doing this he put me on hold and when he came back on the phone he proceeded to tell me that they won't send out another truck because one of the people who saw this happen called and cursed out the dispatch . It was just after midnight last Wednesday night.... 3 friends and I were en route to Portland for a Conference.... About 18 miles north of Redding we blew a tire on our van in the middle of nowhere on the shoulder of highway 5 right at Shasta Lake. The driver had roadside assistance with his insurance and tried calling them.... They were unable (or unwilling) to even find our location. After a few minutes I called AAA in Redding.... Got a call back almost immediately from Josh from Keith's Towing.... He said "I know where you are.... I'll be there in 10 minutes!". He was! Long story short.... The wait was pretty short and he brought the truck from Redding to Red Bluff and back the flat bed in and was able to get the truck exactly where it was completely out of the way and still easy to access to fix. I have been sent a truck from Keith's towing, through AAA, every time I have needed a tow in recent memory. It has never been a good experience. In the height of the pandemic we had a drive who refused to wear a mask. Management was uninterested when I called. We have had another a driver refuse to tow us when we requested he wear a mask, and again management didn't care. The last time I had to call AAA they sent Keith's towing yet again and I am horrified to see the truck windows decorated with a thin blue line flag. I didn't say anything but the driver, once he saw my #blacklivesmatter bumper sticker, could not have been more rude. Now I get this is Redding, and I have low expectations in general but we are evolving whether you like it or not. Any business who fails to see this is doomed. I'm really glad that AAA contracts with Keith's because I would hate to have to use someone else. They are prompt, courteous, and make a stressful situation much easier to manage. My husband had a flat earlier this week, and wouldn't you know it, I got a few screws in my tire just two days later.
