So I contemplated writing this review as for the first time in my life I was truly upset with a restaurant but I felt the need to talk about my experience. I came for brunch on my birthday and felt disrespected. My daughter placed our name on the waiting list and was given a buzzer. I was standing right next to her as the hostess joked with her. Sitting with my best friend who has a short hair cut and kids right in front of the restaurant's waiting area. We sat for 30 minutes and finally realized 3 couples walked in after us and was immediately seated. I walked up to the podium to ask how much longer as we our buzzer never went off. The lady went off to say she doesn't see us on the list but will try to seat us now. Now, I'm more confused as to how she doesn't see our name? How would I get a buzzer if we didn't put our name down? I didn't say a word since 1. It's my birthday. 2. My children are with me. 3. Were all hungry and just want to be seated, eat and leave. We were finally seated and our server was nice, he was a bit taken back staring at my best friend like she had 3 eyes but I joked to try to lighten the morning. We knew what we wanted so we ordered immediately. Our food came out and it was good, a bit oily but beautiful presentation. I wanted to give more start but I was a bit taken back when the manager walked around to every table to ask how everything was but our table. Overall, not a good impression. They had an issue with a way someone looked or maybe they had other issues that day. I don't know but what I do know is I will not be returning. I tried Keke's a few months back at the Lake Mary location and thought it was just... okay. But I was also sick at the time so I figured I'd give it another shot... plus if you're up for brunch, why not go? I ordered the Eggs Florentine and the Fruit Salad (which I remember I loved last time). The Eggs Florentine was okay but after the first piece I couldn't eat anymore. I kinda just got tired of it for lack of better explanation. The fries could use some seasoning... they tasted pretty bland. The Fruit Salad was pretty good. That's probably all I'd come back for. Keke's food was really good tasting and prepared well. I ordered the ham and egg omelet and added mushrooms for .50 extra. Also had home fried potatoes and asked that they be fried well - well done. The eggs were perfect and the char on the potatoes was also done most deliciously. The waitress, Laura, was very attentive and upbeat. She made the start of our day so much brighter. Fast forwarded to today, 2/6/2022, we decided to give Keke's Ocoee one more change via ubereats and once again the same exact thing occurred except our Ubereats driver waited for our food to be ready after an hour and 45 minutes. I called and asked to speak to Mike but of course Aaliyah the hostess stated, "I tried to pass Mike the phone but he said he's busy". What kind of manager is that? Visited there on a Sunday just before noon. Less than 10 minute wait time to be seated. Once the order was taken it took well over half an hour for three of the five meals to arrive. Was told the other two meals would be out shortly. It was at least another 15 minutes before the fourth meal arrived and then another 10 or 15 minutes before the last meal arrived. By then the first three people were all done eating. When the last meal arrived it was not complete. Ate half a sandwich and then the fries that were ordered arrived well over an hour after being ordered. Wait staff was apologetic but given the extent of delay thought they should have comped the last meal. They made no effort to do so. Very unhappy with the service. My family arrived at 8:45am today, and asked for a table for 4 people we actually waited for two hours I know we probably should've left but they told us it was going to be 30mins. I feel upset and bad writing this review because they did have signs that they are understaffed. However, if the wait was so long why not just let us know? Was really excited they opened a KeKe's in Ocoee but the food was cold, the waffle was chewy, the breakfast potatoes were cold, and the wait staff were quite unfriendly. We told them about the potatoes and they took them away but when they brought new ones they were also cold. It almost seemed as if they were leftovers since we got there an hour after they opened. Will likely give it another try and if it's the same, the trip to Mall of Millenia and wait time there would be a better experience. All in all a letdown but I'm chalking it up to they just opened and are still finding their groove. read more

Going downhill. We've always loved Keke's, especially the Ocoee location, but this experience was very disappointing. First of all, the menu has changed and getting a banana nut waffle is now an exercise in nickel-and-diming. So I won't be ordering that anymore. We walked in about 11am and there were lots of available booths but we were told we'd have to wait to be seated - about 3-5 minutes. (Please just seat and let us know it will be a minute if you're short on servers.) We ordered as soon as the server - Amanda - came over, but it took quite a bit longer than usual to get our food and they were out of tomato juice. In general the food was good, but the bacon was extremely salty. My husband asked for Splenda for his coffee but it never came. (Fortunately I keep some in my purse for such emergencies.) He asked for a 2nd cup of coffee and had to wait quite awhile for that one. A request for a 3rd cup and more creamers went unanswered. All in all a very disappointing experience. read more

It's always a nice Sunday whenever me and my family go to Keke's. It's a very nice and casual atmosphere to sit in. This time we ordered a couple items that you can't go wrong with. We had Chocolate Chip Pancakes, French Toast with a Pancake, and my favorite: The Florida Pancake. You can opt to do a combo with your order and this includes a choice of two of either, two eggs, bacon, a slice of ham, and hash browns. If you want a lot of food for the price, then I highly recommend that you do this. The Chocolate Chip Pancakes were so soft and delicate that I almost thought I was eating a cloud until I got to the gooey center which at the chocolates. Whenever we go to Keke's we have to order these pancakes. The French Toast is average. I wouldn't say that it was the best french toast I've ever had but it was decent for what it was. Now for the Florida Waffle. If you want something refreshing and will leave you wanting more, then I would advise you to try this Waffle! The Waffle is flaky on the outside while still being fluffy on the inside. On the top there's a beautiful array of strawberries, bananas, and blueberries all topped off with whipped cream. I can't even describe this without having my mouth water! It is a nice waffle that's packed with flavor. You can't go wrong with this one. The service is top notch! Our waiter was nice and was very attentive to us even though it was a busy time of the day for the restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. For the amount of food and the quality of the dishes, this is a great deal! Make sure you go in large groups so you can try out everything on the menu. Ordered (and split) the Pecan Waffle & a side of (4) link sausage. The portion of pecans was really sad. (see picture) . None found in the batter either so the $+1.50 up charge is a little upsetting to this diner. With that portion, just throw em in man! The huge pile of whipped cream (ordered on the side) just didn't make up for the shy pecan portioning. Textrue is tough enough to use a knife since the cheap thinazz fork wasn't up to the task. Sausage links were hot and cooked good - not over, not under done - cheers. Coffee is okay- hey it's hot, black and kept filled. The forgotten extra plate (remember we asked to split the waffle??) came out shortly by another server staff, but I had to use my one napkin to dry it off. No, I didn't want to put my half of the waffle in a puddle of water. I think the kitchen forgot the add a plate request or didn't read the "split" request on the ticket cause I watched our server jot the note down. We'll try again but for now, "ok" for this Keke's is all I can offer. Our experiences were so much better at the two other locations we have tried. This one has just opened up too so, we'll give em some time to tweak their game and then return for the encore - update. read more

22 hours ago My debit card was charged twice. I called to get help, but now six days later it is not fixed. Instead, they combined the two charges into one and now charged me again. I had to alert my bank and reported it as fraud. I will not return to that location. Sadly, I love to eat at Keke's, and I usually eat at the Winter Park location. I have never experienced this. If you're looking for a place that serves quick quality food, Keke's is the place to go. I ordered the Southwest Omlete and was served in about 5 minutes (give or take 2 minutes) and it tasted like what my mother would make for me when I was a kid. Serving sizes are ample and the service is friendly whether you're there with your family or on your own. I had Jake as my server and he was great. The only reason why I knocked off a star is because I noticed some of the tables and booth seats weren't properly brushed off (I could smell the cleaner so I knew it was wiped down but still there were crumbs).
