I visited the restaurant during bite30 for my son in law birthday and the restaurant didn't disappoint us! Service was excellent ( thank you genesis) they even acknowledged his birthday and brought a candle for him on his dessert. Was great and I will go back for happy hour to try there banana bread martini

We went for Bite 30 since their menu looked absolutely delicious and I'm so happy we did!! The food was really good and our server was very sweet and kind. The only downfall was some rowdy people at the bar being so loud that the whole restaurant could hear. Other than that I will come back for a nice atmosphere and food!! The beignets were my favorite with that yummy strawberry sauce

We've been here twice and both times were great. My favorite was the happy hour. We arrived Wednesday at 4:30 and it was pretty dead in the bar area. We had some $7 drinks (smoked Old Fashioned for my husband) and $9 apps. They we're out of the French dip sliders so my husband had the beef sliders instead. The fries that came with his sliders were really good dipped in the horseradish sauce the waitress gave us. I had the avocado chicken flatbread. It was definitely large enough for a meal. They take the InKind app that saves you additional money and can be used with happy hour deals. Tip: they are always really busy on the weekends.

3.5 stars Ambience was such a vibe and so nice--it truly made my birthday feel extra special! Our server, Lisa, was absolutely amazing. She took great care of our table and our bigger party, showing so much patience and kindness the entire night. The star of the evening was the Sea Bass--complete perfection--paired with the risotto... OMG! Every bite was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. And I can't forget the little dessert shooter cheesecakes--they were the most amazing way to end the night! Such a fun way to highlight many different flavors without overdoing it with huge portions. Perfect for a sweet tooth like me to try a variety of treats. Highly recommend if you want great food, wonderful service, and a beautiful atmosphere.

Tavern tater tots and chicken piccata

Came here on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was mostly empty. Ordered the tavern tater tots to start and I was surprised at the size for an app--yummy and reminiscent of a latke. The chicken piccata was light yet flavorful and my date also enjoyed his chicken parmesan. The vibe is like an upscale cabin and Arianna our waitress was attentive and friendly. I had the Jack and Jill, an elderflower cocktail and my date an amaretto sour--they were both balanced, not too sweet. Excited to check out their happy hour and brunch!

Last time I was a Burntwood Tavern it was the worst experience ever plus the prices went up AGAIN! Don't know why, service sucks, menu sucks, food sucks..will never go there again.. I wanted a salad and the one they used to feature, was taken out of the menu, in fact, any previous food I wanted was taken out of the menu.. My advice? Never go there?.

We went for brunch, including the bloody mary bar which was excellent. Our server brought out the drinks and we were able to customize the toppings from a selection of cheese, meat, pickles, olives, and an array of hot sauces. Perfect day to sit on the patio, it was quiet and well shaded which was great for us and the dog too! Food was good overall, especially enjoyed the Tavern Tots app which was like deep fried hash brown balls. Would recommend for a nicer, yet still casual brunch or night out!

I love Burntwood Tavern. I go there every week with friends for their Happy Hour. Their cocktails and starters (appetizers) are both $8.00. Although I haven't had any of their drinks, I always get a starter and they are delicious. Between my friends and I we have had all of them except the potatoes and cauliflower. All were really good. Our usual server, "Z" is wonderful and everyone else who has served us was great too. Parking is very easy in their own lot.

Ducked in with Aunt Diane, Greg and the Sis for some Christmas Cheer after consulting the reviews and we were happy Jenna and her awesome nails was our server! 5-Star experience, here is why; * Excellent service from Jenna * Good bar food, appropriately priced * Full liqour bar * Lounge off the the side * Free parking We enjoyed Cauli bites, Chicken Sliders, Fish-N-Chip, Cedar Plank Salmon, Grouper Sammy, Wedge Salad, and Lobster Bisque. Everything was tasty. Fair sized portions. Good price. Excellent experience. Be advised, "Lobster" Bisque has no Lobstah. Made with shrimp only Good stuff, see you there. Take one of my food tours if you ever visit South Florida, SouthFloridaFoodTour.com Cabeza OUT!

I have been here a number of times for happy hour. 3 to 6 everyday is good. All cocktails $8 and the smoked old fashioned is not bad. Not the best I've had by far, but good, especially for $8. They don't have large cubes of ice is the biggest issues, so it's watered down by the end, so just drink fast and you'll be good. The service is always good, never had even a small issue there. Today was the first time I've actually eaten here. Also on happy hour, all appetizers are $8. I tried the cauliflower bites and the shrimp tacos. The sauce on the cauliflower bites was delicious. Asian style sweet chili-esque, but not nearly as sweet as most sweet chili sauces. The cauliflower wasn't fried, which is what I expected, but that actually works really well. Makes it lett heavy, and they cook it well enough that the texture is great. I all but licked the plate clean. The shrimp tacos were also very good. Piled high with toppings (slaw, fried jalapenos, dressing, tomatoes, onions...), probably a little too much, but they all taste good. Shrimp is fried and dusted with a Cajun seasoning. Even with the fried jalapenos, still not really spicy, but good. They also apparently have live music sometimes. I was here on a Thursday around 5, and there is a singer/guitarist in the bar area. He's not bad, but also not loud enough to be annoying. My biggest complaint here is the signage. Who thought Papyrus font for your restaurant name was a good idea? I mean, it's just awful. It looks like a MySpace header. Overall, I will definitely be back, and not just because it's close to my work. And, I will eat here more often too.

We were able to get promptly seated outside on the patio for Saturday brunch around noon with our dog. There was plenty of shade with all the tables having umbrellas. Our server greeted us right away and we ordered drinks and appetizers. We absolutely loved the tavern tater tots. They look unconventional but they are similar to fried balls of hash brown casserole. So good and unique. The cauliflower bites were also good and a large portion. The brunch sliders were not as expected but still good. It comes with 3 fried eggs all together over 3 sliders. I was also expecting the tater tots as a side and not on the sliders but they were still good. The bloody mary's were good but my husband wished they offered bacon as a topping. We loved the tajin rim on the glass. The jack and Jill drink was very sour. I would recommend adding in a little simple syrup. Overall we had a great time and look forward to trying some more items on the menu.

The Burntwood Tavern offers a relatively straightforward menu, but the food is done well and served by an attentive and professional staff. The inside has a nice enough ambiance and it made for a comfortable and enjoyable setting for an overall good meal. I went with the French dip and it was a good option. Overall, this was a good choice for a meal and I would definitely recommend here.

Covered in dust which was above our table

I'm absolutely devastated that I came here for my birthday lunch. I really had high hopes for this place. This was my first time coming here and for some reason I thought this would have been a great new place to try. I came here on Saturday around 11:30am and the place seemed dead. We were seated quickly by the hostess who seemed like she didn't wanna be there. Then a young kid came over to take our drink order. I ordered the unlimited mimosa brunch and my husband ordered a Sangria and we both were stunned at what he got, he didn't even remotely taste like a Sangria and sent it back to the bar. It was the most disgusting drink, it wasn't even drinkable. Waiting the the waiter to put our food order in, I noticed the lightning above our table and it was covered in dust. The hostess gave my 3 year old child a coloring sheet but with no crayons, I asked if she had any but was out so what was the purpose of even giving me this coloring paper for him? I ordered the breakfast sliders and that was a mistake too. Does this dish normally come out with all three eggs still attached and then sandwich buns on top? Just seemed weird, I wouldn't ever serve someone a dish like that. My son ordered the chicken tenders with fries which was ok and my husband ordered the brunch burger and that was ok as well. On a side note, the party next to us was sitting there forever to be taken care of and some lady who literally walked in from outside, had her purse on and everything came in and took their order. She kept coming in and out from outside. Seems very unprofessional. From the service, the food and the cleanliness of the place I won't be back and won't recommend this restaurant. Save your money and go some place else.

The rice was just ok, it's a side I love but this wasn't what I'm used to too. The churros were good. Crispy sweet and chewy. A great finish to the meal. Ambiance: 4 stars When you walk in, you are immersed with the Hispanic vibe and it is really fun and relaxing. A quick service when you can use a kiosk or cashier to order your food. Service: 3.5 stars The cashier was friendly and polite. Food: 3.5 - 4 Stars 1. Three tacos - chicken, Barbacoa, and chorizo - 4 stars Favorite protein was the chorizo. Seasoned and juicy. The chicken and Barbacoa were a little bit dry. 2. 5 tacos - 3.75 stars Meats were braised beef birria and chorizo. Served on corn tortillas with onions and cilantro. The corn tortillas were dry and thicker than normal. The tacos had one tortilla to hold the ingredients. Other places would use two tortillas as the base. Also, they would have been better if they were heated and a little bit moist. 3. Steak quesadilla - 4.5 - loaded with cheese and diced steak. It was hot and fresh. Cilantro and diced onions are served on the side. It will fill you up. 4. Steak Taco Bowl - 3.5 Very filling w rice as the base and the diced steak was good. However, it was missing frijoles (beans) which was kinda' weird but each regional area is different from each other. 5. Loaded nachos with carne asada (steak). The colorful Chips were crunchy and light. The steak was good however, the cheese was processed nacho cheese instead of freshly melted shredded cheese. The dish can get messy so make sure to have enough napkins. The best proteins were the braised beef (birria) and the chorizo. Both were flavorful and juicy. Price: pretty reasonable for the different menu items. We will come back to try other menu items.

The sauce was small, but still ample enough to pour over the three tacos. The flavors were pretty good (thanks to the heat from the sauce) and it was filling enough for me, though the flour tortillas was a bit too hard for me. The service was pretty good, though I ordered from the kiosk and I picked up my order after they called my name. However, they did check up on me, as well a provided water to cops, and removed empty items from the tables. The staff were quite friendly. The dining area was small and a bit boring. There were 2TVs showing ads for their products, and 1 displaying a horse race. The restaurant was quite cramped, and I was thankful to find a table. It's located in downtown, so parking will be either in a meter or a garage. This restaurant serves pretty good tacos at a reasonable price, but the atmosphere was a bit bland for a taqueria. It was also small and can get crowded and full easily. Best to have this to go or delivered. It's still a nice restaurant for tacos in downtown.
