First mistake, ordering via DoorDash and paying extra for expedient delivery. Making breakfast for 4 over $100. But, no biggie, everything cost more nowadays. Estimated Delivery 25 minute ETA turned into 1.5 hours. With the Dasher waiting on KeKe's, not the other way around. Ordered two BLTs plus paid extra $6 for fries instead of chips. Didn't get the fries. Not a huge deal BUT what is atrocious, was that there was Not even half a piece of bacon between both BLT orders we placed. It had to be intentional because of how little there was on both. That doesn't happen by accident. See picture. I could have save $25 by just ordering sides of toast. What happened to our beloved KeKe's... I know they have been implementing cost saving measures but it has now gone way too far. KeKe's use to have an amazing BLT, five years ago. Not only did they put an adequate amount of bacon on each sandwich, it was a far higher quality of meat a few years ago. But, with each year that has passed they seem to take more and more bacon away. At this rate, next year's BLT at KeKe's won't even come with bacon at all. They only have booths to sit at and it was fine for me because it was only my daughter and I, but while we were eating there was a group of 20 and they wanted to sit together but couldn't because the booths aren't so big, so if you have a large group be ready to split your group because it's worth it for the food. So service got off to a rough start when my server Nikkie asked what I wanted to drink. I said Coffee, and she walked away. A few minutes later she comes back with water, and I looked at her. She goes "oh, what did you want again?" Me: "Coffee." She takes my order, comes back with coffee - and shortly afterwards comes back with my food. I ordered a breakfast scramble to go. It was excellent. I thought I would order it again the next day because I enjoyed it so much. When I went to pick it up the lady at the to-go order stand was so rude to me, that I thought I would write a review. I told her I had an order under my name. She said "I need to see the order". She barked at me "I have to see the order or I can't help you" and then Immediately started talking to another customer, I said can't you just look up the name and she cut me off mid sentence, and said "if you can't show me an order I can't help you, goodbye". I don't give many places 5 stars. This place earned it and more. My family ate here for breakfast almost everyday while vacationing at DisneyWorld. The staff are great, prices competitive, and the food is delicious. We always got some version of the build your own combo which a pancake, waffle, or French toast plus an egg plus a meat or you could make it into an omelette in which case the cheese steak omelette is my finger licking favorite. Keke's is a nice place for breakfast/brunch. I've been to other Keke's locations around Central Florida and decided to try this new one that recently opened in Windermere. My friends and I visited this location around 12:30pm. Considering there being 5 of us on a Saturday afternoon, we assumed there'd be a 30-45 minute wait. Thankfully, it was just a 15 minute wait since it was later in the day and the breakfast rush had already passed. We were seated and ready to order. Majority of us ordered the breakfast combo with (2) pancakes. The combo offers you a choice of (1 or 2) pancakes, (1 or 2) French toast or (1) waffle. Its served with eggs or home fries or toast and you can choose an additional side of either bacon, sausage, half ham steak, home fries, tomato slices or toast. I ordered my pancakes with the eggs and bacon. It took quite some time for the food to come out and we were wondering why. Our question was answered when our order came out as the pancakes were HUGE, they were the size of the plate! It most likely took that long because they were cooking our pancakes!! They were good and they were served with good portion sides. The bacon wasn't just 2-3 pieces, there were able 5-6 pieces which you rarely see. First time in Orlando, Florida to experience Disney World. We landed pretty early as we had a red eye from LA. We had very limited options for breakfast and kept seeing Keke's pop up on our yelp searches so we had to give it a try. We were seated almost immediately as they had fast service. Never got to sit down. Came in with my service dog and was confronted at the entrance. The manager proceeded to tell me that my dog, which was on duty to notify me of diabetic incidents would "have to keep all four paws on the floor". Note when my dog senses an episode he will leap and notify me. Rather than raise a ruckus we left and had a fine breakfast at First Watch. The management and staff need to review the federal service dog rules and regulations and try to do a better job of making patrons in need feel more welcome. There is so much to tell about this place so I will begin with things that could be improved. Starting with the decor, the outside and logo is simple yet fitting however the inside is... depressing. The walls are brown with reddish seats and black ceilings that makes the whole place look quite dark and sad which for a breakfast place you would imagine a more bright looking place. There ceiling is very high which can make the place look so open and fresh but that is not taken advantage of at all paired with random paintings on the walls made with bright colors that don't match at all with the rest of the decoration. There are no salt, pepper, sugar or other useful things on the table which if there were would make the job easier to the servers. There is also no 'real' half and half option with only the non refrigerated ones available on request. A tip to make it even easier to servers the coffee pot could be left at the tables so they wouldn't have to keep coming back to check if people still had coffee on their cups. The menu has so much variety also that would make it hard to specialize in anything which results in no trademark or 'signature' dish for the place. Now for the two saving graces of this place: The food and the servers! We ordered the Banana Nut pancake and Florida Pancake combo both with eggs and Turkey sausage and let me tell you, they were HUMONGOUS! ( Take notes First Watch!) The Pancakes were delicious, not overly thick or overly sweet and even though they were huge they didn't feel heavy on my stomach. It also came with a bonus dish presentation. They also had sugar free syrup which was a pleasant surprise. You definitely get the quality and amount of food you pay for! Servers were incredibly friendly and seemed happy with our server, George getting a special shout out because he was very caring. There was also a visit from the manager that proceed to ask customers how was the food and service which showed care. It was a nice touch for sure. Keke's delivers a consistent 4 star service. I have eaten there many times and always have a good meal. This time we tried the Pumpkin Spice pancakes with the addition of bananas and nuts. At first, it looked like they just put a few nuts and banana slices on the top of the stack, but after cutting in to them you could see the were mixed in with the batter. They were huge, but tasted great. I had the raspberry stuffed French toast and was very happy. It was just the right amount of food and the contrast of sweet cream and tart berries was perfect. The staff is always curteous and the service was prompt. My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what you expected and neither good nor bad. With ten of planning on eating breakfast on a Saturday morning we tried to make a reservation at Keke's. We learned that they do not take reservations or have call ahead seating but they let us know that the wait would only be about 15 minutes. If they had not have said that we would have picked another restaurant that allows the convenience of reservations or calling ahead. The staff was very friendly and our waiter handled the table beautifully. We ordered a variety of breakfast items and everything was served exactly as selected and freshly made. The service was fast and we were asked several times if we wanted refills. The waffles were delicious and if you like they will load them up with whipped cream. I ordered the banana nut waffle with a side of link sausage and potatoes. I usually do not eat potatoes but I wanted to try them with green peppers and pepper jack cheese. This was our first stop after getting to Orlando! We were really lucky and didn't have to wait long. We split the Banana nut pancake meal. Plus I added a 2 egg omelette and bacon, hubby chose sausage with the meal. The pancake was definitely enough to share. Nice and fluffy. A tad bit dry but my hubby loved it with syrup. That being said, this was probably one of the best Keke's experiences I have had. What really made it was service - it was phenomenal in this location. Friendly, welcoming and helpful from the moment I entered. I had a cheese omelette which was fine... not as tasty as first watch but it's serviceable. I do like the large menu with both pancakes and waffles and I enjoy the fact that they have so many offerings with fresh fruit! This location also doesn't seem to be quite as busy as others, so hopefully waits will be kept to a minimum.
