The Keke's in Windermere recently reopened with a new owner/management, and we were excited to make a return to this establishment that's been closed for a few months. As we entered, we were greeted very warmly. Immediately, I also noticed that they had redone the entire interior (and added outdoor seating as well). They made the inside much cheerier with brighter colors on the walls (including faux plant walls), added new lighting and fixtures, and replaced all of the booths and tables with lighter colors as well. The whole place looked amazing and much more modern. Our server Cristobal was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the cheesesteak omelet, which I've had before and it came out perfectly. However, I do miss the longer menu that Keke's used to have a few years ago before abbreviating it. They used to have a lot more options and now it's just a very condensed and simplified version of their previous extensive menu. I'm excited that Keke's has returned and we can add it back into our weekend breakfast rotation.

French toast combo with eggs and bacon.

My 2nd give it a chance. Eggs were cold and French toast was cold, the bottom didn't looked cook at all. No one asked me how it was. A man with guest receipts in his back pocket walked by several times, no smile. I wasn't asked if I'd like a refill of ice tea. I had to ask for syrup and the tables across from me had syrup. The two that needed it didn't have any. It got busy after I just walked in. There was a people waiting when leaving. The one side of restaurant wasn't seating people.

This Windermere location was recently renovated and looks great with fresh tables and chairs. Even though it's now owned by the same group as Denny's, the menu hasn't changed much and the quality is about the same. I tried the turkey BLT sandwich it was huge and delicious! Staff is always friendly, and it's a solid breakfast option with hours similar to First Watch.

Delicious food, great service. What more can we ask for in a breakfast restaurant

Great food, great service and fresh coffee. WOW. So yummy. Thank you Sean for being a wonderful server, and making our day start amazingly!!!!

Every Keke's we have been to has been top notch. So many amazing food options, the best home fries. And amazing service. Our waiter was right on the ball with coffee refills, making sure I had non-dairy creamer options and just making sure everything was as we ordered. This local is bright and cheerful with a wonderful color palette. Dining room is super clean.

The amount of fruit is insane

It's been years since I have had Keke's. I couldn't remember why I hadn't been but I was reminded when I received my order. Everyone loves Keke's and so I thought let's give it another try. I am odd and prefer my waffles well done. I like a golden brown crispy outside with a cooked inside. I always make a point wherever I go to let them know I like it well done. I even joke about how I know it's probably an odd request. Some places get it perfect the first time and sometimes the server will come out and ask if it's done enough and then bring it back to be browner. When the first one came out I apologized and showed her the inside and asked for it to be well done (again I did order it well done) she was super sweet and said she understands she is the same way. But when the second one came out it wasn't much better. At This point my mom and kids were enjoying their food I had finished the eggs and sausage and ate the waffle the way it was. If we go back I need to remind myself to get eggs. No pancakes or waffles.

The two salsas were phenomenal and I believe it was the owner came over to check on us and offered extra sauce which I of course excepted. The portion was the perfect breakfast size. The food took some time to come out especially since they weren't very busy and what we ordered cooks pretty quick but it was worth it. I think we were just hangry and needed some good. We can't wait to go back and bring the rest of the family.

While the interior is more modern than the bakeries I grew up visiting in Flushing, New York, the food itself reminded me of home. I picked up a hot dog bun and a custard egg tart from the bakery, then ordered the Hong Kong sticky rice and lychee mango fruit tea with boba (50% sugar, 50% ice). These are some of my favorite comfort foods, and while the prices were a bit higher than what I'm used to back home, I was pleasantly surprised by every item I tried. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. The hot dog bun was soft, and the egg tart had a flaky crust with smooth custard. The sticky rice, wrapped in a lotus leaf, was warm, comforting, and had the subtle savory flavor I love. The fruit tea was refreshing, with real pieces of lychee and mango mixed in. There was plenty of seating for my friend and me to sit, relax, and enjoy our treats. If you're looking for authentic Asian bakery favorites in Orlando, Bakery 1908 is worth checking out. It's the perfect spot for brunch, whether you're craving something sweet or savory or just want a refreshing drink. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm missing the flavors of home.

This time we stayed on I-Drive and found that they have a new location closer by in Lake Buena Vista, which we love even more than the first one. It's newer and way more spacious with a higher ceiling. The mural, the seatings and the greenery all help to create a very cozy and relaxed environment. It's busier too and harder to find a parking spot though. Their breads are so delicious, with so many varieties we always have a hard time deciding what to get, since we want them all! The swiss roll right by the entrance are delicious too! They also have cookies, and their crepe cakes are closest to Lady M than any other I've tried. You can tell that the crepe is really thin with rich layers of cream in between. It's an Asian bakery so the sweetness level is not as intense, and the bread dough is on the soft and pillowy side. Oh did I mention they also offer dimsum and a bunch of other things too. Yes, you can eat your breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea here. And probably still want more.

The breakfast tacos absolutely rocked. These things did not just have flavor, they burst with it. One bite in and I was wondering why I ever bothered eating breakfast anywhere else. The latte was smooth, rich, and delicious enough to make me momentarily forget all responsibilities for the rest of the day. And then there are the biscuits. These are not just biscuits. These are a full-on tribute to the Deep South. Warm, flaky, buttery, and proud of it. If biscuits could talk, these would say "y'all sit down and eat." Great food, great vibes, great people. For a place that's built around biscuits, they were overpriced and just okay at best. They weren't bad, but definitely not something I'd go out of my way for again, especially at that price point. I also tried to order a simple egg and cheese biscuit without meat and was told they would still have to charge me for the meat anyway. That felt a little ridiculous and not very accommodating, especially for something that seems like it should be an easy modification. The coffee was fine. No complaints, but nothing memorable. It did the job, but didn't stand out in any way. The one highlight was definitely the smashbrowns. They were crispy, well seasoned, and easily the best thing we ordered. If anything brought this up to three stars, it was those. Overall, it's not a bad spot, but it didn't live up to the hype or the pricing. Between the underwhelming biscuits and the lack of flexibility with ordering, it just didn't feel worth it. The smashbrowns were great, but not good enough to tempt me to come back.

I paired my meal with the seasonal selection of matcha, the blueberry Matcha. Service was pretty quick and the food and drink were amazing. Croque Madame was cheesy and delicious with a yummy runny egg. The matcha was sweet and had the blueberry flavor from the whipped cream.
