The server was friendly and great with my shy littles. He was helpful in answering our questions and making suggestions. My husband had the stuffed French toast he said it was so good and it was such a large portion. The server suggested adding cheese to the breakfast fries and I am so mad I passed on the suggestion as it made the already tasty potatoes even better. I had the Eggs Florentine Benedict, unfortunately my eggs were hard poached, which I know happens but I was really looking forward to a traditional poached egg. The server offered to have two new eggs whipped up but I didn't want to waste food. The kids had chocolate pancakes and they were good portions for kid pancakes. I've heard about Keke's from friends so I decided to try it for the first while in Orlando for my friend's birthday trip. We arrived on a Sunday around 10 am and waited about 10 minutes for our seat. We were then quickly seated and our coffees and juices came right out. Our server was especially nice! We placed our order around 10:30 am and an hour later had still received nothing. We asked our server to check on the food at that time. She came back from the kitchen and said she has no idea when our food will be out. We asked to talk to the manager but we were told the manager was working in the kitchen. We paid our bill for our juice and coffee and left. I feel sorry for them because it's clear they are short staffed and like most businesses these days are finding it very difficult to find and keep employees. I really hate to break with the pack here. But it takes a lot to get me out of the house these days. So if I make the effort to come to your place then your cooking better be way better than mine. And here's a clue. I'm a pretty lousy chef. Don't expect anything great here. The food is just barely okay. It's like what a Denny's used to be. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and it tasted like it came from a frozen carton. And the home fries were soft, old tasting and just room temperature. I seriously could have screwed up the same meal at home and saved the $25 bucks. Worst part is it has given me the worst indigestion and feels like a brick in my stomach almost 4 hours later. So if the one thing you do is in the name of the title of your business and you're not doing it that well then you might want to consider your priorities. I have a lot of money to spend on meals out. But I work hard for it and I don't give second chances. This felt like a phoned in meal from a minimum wage short order diner, and not the image of the chic cafe dining experience that this chain holds itself out to be. I'm over "supporting our local businesses" in the post covid era until they can actually act like they want my business back. Came here for a late breakfast last Sunday and was pleasantly surprised. We arrived at 10:15am and waited only 10 min for a table. Service was top notch, our hostess was friendly, quick, and so helpful! We were a group of 6, half the group ordered the philly steak omlette and it was absolutely delicious. I will never visit this establishment again. When we arrived I immediately checked in for a party of 5. I was told there would be a 30 minute wait, and this was not a problem. 30 minutes passed and we were not seated. The issue was the staff at the hostess counter was very RUDE. If you work in customer service then your job is customer service and it's free to be polite. I asked the hostess staff several times if they were close to calling my party and each time they became more frustrated and were unable to provide an estimate. I ordered 2 of the banana chocolate chip pancakes and my boyfriend got a combo meal with eggs, bacon, and a pancake. I wish I could adequately describe how MASSIVE these pancakes are, but you need a picture to do it justice. I used my face for scale . Even though I went for 2 pancakes instead of their normal portion of 3, I was struggling to even eat half. The food was so good and so rich, I just got to have another meal for later! The prices were SO reasonable for the huge portion sizes. Our server was excellent in giving recommendations and making sure we were happy. A manager even stopped by to check on us and warn us about Saturday/Sunday morning crowds. We felt very welcomed and comfortable, it was almost like dining at home (but with better food). Great service, menu is decent, but the food is just plain ole average - at least in regards to breakfast. I ordered chocolate chip, banana pancakes which I will say were GINORMOUS. The size of an Ice Age woolly mammoth. However, I'm a texture gal, I need some heavy toppings to break up a same texture cake. Unfortunately, my pancake had a small number of chocolate chips and bananas, in what I would have anticipated as coming in loaded! BUMMER. The cake was nicely cooked, not as fluffy, a little more on the dense side, but there were nicely toasted edges which were pleasant to those taste buds. I always deliberate whether to get an iced coffee at these type of cafes, as typically its just "meh" coffee that is put on ice. I asked the server if their coffee was solid and she said YEAH! Quick update, the coffee was bland, but obviously you're not going to Keke's for their iced coffee. Just wanted to include that in here. I don't think I'd go back as I wasn't WOW'd by any means and there are just so many good brunch spots out there in this world! However, I did talk to Gainesville people, who have been to that Keke's location and I have only heard glowing reviews.
