Horrible Keller Williams Realtor Estrella Teilhaber of FamilyHomesGA Team and Keller Williams Chattahoochee North in Georgia! Whatever you do, do NOT use Estrella Teilhaber as your buyer's agent. She does NOT look out for your best interests as a buyer, demands you put down more earnest money than you need to, doesn't even bother to ask to extend the due diligence period, and discourages the most basic of negotiations, and refuses to advocate or negotiate anything for you at all (not sure if it is laziness or just wanting to keep the sale price as high as possible to get her commission a few dollars higher). I couldn't even get her to fix all the plumbing that needed repairing as she only meekly asked the sellers to repair one leak, when there were serval plumbing issues she was supposed to get fixed while the plumber was out there, anyways. It was like she was working for the sellers more than me. At closing, she went on and on about herself and how easy it was working with the seller's agent (yeah, I guess it was, since Estrella Teilhaber did not bother really working for me -- her own client!). read more

Mr. Michael Capo who works out of this office is probably one of their lazier agents who has absolutely horrible manners. I wasn't surprised when I did a quick check and saw that he moved to Atlanta from South Florida. When I did finally get an answer from this individual, it was extremely rude. I wholeheartedly think he should move himself back to rude and scam-ridden South Florida. In all seriousness, how many days should one have to endlessly call an agent and leave messages and voicemails before declaring them either dead or incompetent? This review documents my experiences with Leigh and Michael Schiff with Keller Williams First Atlanta. I first met Leigh in 2001 when a friend of mine in Florida who is also a Keller Williams agent referred me to her. I wanted to buy my first home and needed an agent. Leigh was very easy to work with and patiently answered all my questions (and as a first time buyer i had a LOT of questions) She made the process as easy as possible, and 3 months from the time I first contacted her, I was moving into a home of my very own! I was so happy with her service that 6 years later when my wife and I decided to move intown and buy a nicer home, I did not hesitate for a second to contact Leigh to sell my existing home and help with the purchase of a new home. Leigh worked with me to make sure everything with my home was ready for it to be on the market and within three weeks we had a buyer under contract. Leigh's husband, Michael is also an agent with KW First Atlanta, and while Leigh was working on selling my home, he was our agent for the purchase of our new home. He gave us the same great service that Leigh had for the purchase and sale of the first home. Anytime anyone talks to me about buying or selling a home I will always give them Leigh and Michael's information. We recently attempted to purchase a very beautiful home, but were thoroughly convinced to not only rescind our offer, but not accept any counter offer from Martin Archacki on behalf of his client. This was solely because of our dealings with Martin Archacki (with Keller Williams Realty First Atlanta) . This was not our first home nor our last home buying experience, but was by far the absolute worst. Mr. Archacki's unprofessionalism and blatant disrespect towards our agent, during this process, created an insurmountable impasse moving forward. We lost complete trust and confidence in him and how he represented his client. We made a standard, strong, fair and competitive offer which Mr. Arshacki hesitated on submitting to his client, without first asking our agent a series of financial questions that were confidential in nature. We provided all materials for a standard offer submission via our trusted agent, whom we've successfully used before. However, the exchange between Mr. Archaki and our agent was so disturbing and disrespectful, that after our off was submitted, we decided to walk away. We no longer feel comfortable with this firm and their agents. I hope no one else loses a beautiful home, or the sell of said home, because of the unprofessionalism of an aggressive selling/listing agent. read more

I worked with Christine. I wish I could tell you which, if there is more than one. Her e-mails had two different last names. She was a complete waste of time. She told me we had to move quick on property, then told me she would be out of town for a week. I e-mailed her about seeing a long list of properties, to which she replied that she was actually out of town for another week. She refused to find someone to show me properties, in her absence. If I told her I was available Thursday, she would ask that we meet on Sunday. She refused to meet me during the week, instead taking up my time on the weekend. She seemed to only care about my attendance to a college her son was looking to attend, instead of finding me a home. I had to tell her four times where to search for a condo. I explained numerous times in person, via text, via e-mail what kind of home I wanted. I had to tell her every time we talked that I was not looking to sell or rent the home, so she should stop looking into rental plans. It was like she was using me to find her son a place, either renting from me or in general. Christine wasted my time to the point that all of the most desirable places on my list are gone and I am in a huge rut - I have to close and move before the middle of August. They are specialized to a certain area. If it isn't in that area, they do not do anything approaching proper comps for buyers. They do not communicate with buyers. Do not sign exclusive broker agreements with them. They will not honor portion of any agreement you sign. read more

This review highlights my experience with Susan Minsk, a real estate agent at the KW office on Glenridge Point in Atlanta. If shopping for Atlanta r/e in the Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area, Susan is ABSOLUTELY the broker you SHOULD work with. Here's the story................ Given my interest in investing in real estate (for rental short term and long term ultimately sale) and my friend's suggestion that there were a lot of good buys in Atlanta, she set me up with Susan. She and Susan are extremely close. While I really trust my friend, I was still a little reticent thinking that maybe she was recommending Susan simply because they were so close. How would I diplomatically handle it if I didn't like her or, worse, thought she was dishonest? Well, my concerns were 100% unwarranted and I could not imagine a better r/e agent. I flew down (from the Northeast) thinking that I'd spend say $300-$400k or maybe a little more. So, thinking that Susan was your "regular" broker, I figured she'd look to push me into $600k+ properties, which might require huge renovation (and/or on-going money pits) and then never rent for anywhere near what she suggested. What would she care if after the sale it was a horror story, as, by then, she had already collected her commission and I was 1500 miles away. Well, right out of the gate, I got the sense that Susan was different. Most brokers will tell you that they "know" all of Atlanta, including all the burbs, etc. However, that's impossible, no broker really knows that many areas well. Regardless, most would never own up to that thinking they might lose a possible customer. Susan made it very clear which areas she knew -- Sandy Springs and Dunwoody -- and which she did not; frankly in discussing a couple of other possible areas it was clear she was being humble. Susan does not suggest she knows something when she's 90%. And, boy, does she know SS and DW, from the schools, to the streets, to the stories of many of the houses. She came unbelievably prepared, both due to an acquired knowledge base over many years, but, as well, through a solid scouring of the recent transactions and all of the availables. She was a joy to travel with to houses. Susan also knows tons of great service people and had a few come by to provide quotes on what did or did not need to be done. We looked at say 20 houses/town houses over several days and identified several we were interested in bidding on (a vacant house, a short sale, a town house in distress and simply a couple of nice houses that were friendly priced to move). Then I left town. Well, none of them came through for various reasons - certainly not due to a lack of effort on Susan's part (or failure to follow up)! So, I simply told Susan to find me the house to buy. Yes, she had built up so much trust that I simply left it in her hands. And, she did. A $200k house. As hard as I tried to get her to spend more of my money, she simply would not. This one, she said, was the best and would rent well and be a good investment, without headaches or the like. So, with no games, I bought the house -- sight unseen (and continues to be to this day) -- and it's worked out really well (hopefully to continue!). The house is in the East Cobb, Marietta area, walking distance to great stores and feeds to the renowned Walton High School. The house was as good in going thru inspection as she envisioned, with almost nothing needed in terms of fix up. She connected me with the service people I needed -- all excellent, responsible and reasonably priced. Then she worked tirelessly and found me a great tenant. Susan is beyond nice, beyond knowledgeable, beyond patient, beyond helpful. And, again, honest to a fault. She also is not pushy. So, clearly, she did not go to r/e broker school! She's just who she is - a wonderful person and the best r/e broker imaginable. Susan's husband is a lawyer and did the closing, also in a highly professional manner and at a reasonable rate. (And, from my vantage, he's a great husband, as he was totally supportive of Susan and all her time away from her home and family to work with a small home buyer.) If you are even considering buying or selling a home in SS or DW, reach out to Susan. I PROMISE you'll be glad you did. read more

Susan presents very well, but cannot be trusted. I tried to work with her remotely to sell a condo in downtown Atlanta. Susan completely dropped the ball and then lied about it two me on two occasions. Eventually after two months of saying she preparing to put the unit on the market (taking photos, having repairs completed) she admitted that she had not done so. This delayed by three months total getting the condo on the market, which was a significant financial (several thousand dollar) loss for me. read more

I would think twice before working with Keller Williams - First Atlanta, specifically Sonya Martinez and her broker. Rather than getting into the numerous issues, I would just say the overall experience was less than professional.
