I think the corn maze should be one price and then just charge kids for the playground areas. The pricing seems like it should be set up differently. They give free kids admission wristbands for local library reading challenges which is very nice of them and helped us to keep the cost down. There are tons of playground areas which the kids really enjoy. They also have tricycles to ride, a mini hay maze for little ones, and an area with stacked tires for kids to climb on. My son really enjoyed it! They also have some animals to see (horses, goats, cows). There's plenty of food options. I really enjoyed the Apple cider slushie. read more

This was our first visit and we came with a group specifically for apple picking. They had plenty of trees with many different varieties of apples, some I have never heard of! ("Ludacrisp", lol!). The Tigress apple was AMAZING! I think when I took a bite the words I used were "omg, this is freakin' fantastic!" It is that good. We enjoyed the food stands and store. They have apple cider donuts, hot and cold cider, and a hotdog stand. On a crisp fall day, who doesn't love to sip hot cider? There was also a food truck with more gourmet options. What we didn't plan for was how much this place has to offer. One main attraction is apples. You pay separate entrance to the other main attraction which is a giant, legit, corn maze. Plus tons of other fun attractions for kids. We didn't plan this into our visit so we ran out of time and didn't get to experience it. Next year, we'd definitely return but plan to spend more time to see everything else. But, the way the pricing works you pay for what you want to experience so if you do just want to apple pick you just pay for that. read more

My family went apple picking this weekend, including my husband who has difficulty walking. We brought a wheelchair which works great on concrete, not great on grass. The farm manager saw our struggle and immediately offered assistance. He had a large golf cart , took us into the orchard and stayed with my husband while we picked our apples. U PICK 'EM If you're harvesting apples at this orchard in Oswego, it means fall has arrived. Things these days with a 1yo are decidedly more pumpkin patch-y and less haunted house-y, which suits me fine.  Now that my junior Yelper is pointing at objects and understanding things better, my wife and I thought a trip to an apple orchard would be the perfect autumn adventure.  I did some research and found Keller's wasn't too far from us in B-brook. I typically like to give general whereabouts of the places I write, but I couldn't begin to tell you where Keller's Farmstand is located.  It's nowhere near any major street (Ogden Ave is 4-1/2 miles away) and you'll be driving over loose gravel roads to get here, so I would trust implicitly in Google maps and follow the signs as you get closer.  Parking is ample and free. Admission to the orchard depends if you want a quarter/half/full peck--a 1/4 peck ($9) is essentially a 3lb bag, roughly 6-7 large apples.  The pricing scale is linear, so no discounts for buying a larger quantity.  Kids under 4 are free.  If you're vertically challenged, they have extendable scooper poles (resembling lacrosse sticks) available to rent, which I saw some folks using to nab high-up apples. Inside the farmstand, I bought a half dozen ears of corn (6 for $4) that came from right down the road.  The Keller family has 30 acres of sweet corn that they grow & sell annually, and although the last week of September is pretty late in the year, the corn still tasted juicy.  They also had cold apple cider, tables of honey, jams, and jellies, plus the usual assortment of boutique dry box mixes. We had a fun time in the orchard filling up our bags with Jonathan, McIntosh, Fuji, and Honey Crisp apples, though we didn't see any of the Liberty, Empire, or Haralson varieties like the posted sign had indicated.  When we visited on a Sunday at noon, there were plenty of apple trees still loaded with fruit; I always recommend bringing a tall person to help get those hard-to-reach ones. On our way out, my wife got a hot apple cider ($2.50), the perfect drink on a cloudy autumn day.  No trip would be complete without apple cider donuts (6 for $8), which wound up being some of the best we've had.  The donuts came lightly dusted in cinnamon sugar and were really good, better than anything you'd find at Meijer or Mariano's. Staff were cool.  There were a couple workers roaming the orchard, perhaps acting as 'light security detail' to discourage people from playing fresh fruit dodgeball or chopping down an apple tree to take home with them.  Not to worry guys, I left my chainsaw in the car like a responsible adult. * TL;DR * Things that are cool to pick: apples at Keller's, your group of friends, up after yourself Things that are not cool to pick: your nose in public, a fight with a stranger The farmstand with locally-sourced produce was great, and the orchard experience led to big smiles all around.  I'm glad we found this place, since it's WAY closer than Apple Holler--a beloved orchard near Kenosha, Wisconsin--and at $9/person, the prices are cheaper. AH costs $20/person these days, which is a little crazy (they have tractor rides and other activities, but I'd rather save $11 and skip on feeding the goats). I'd be happy to consider visiting Keller's a yearly tradition. read more

I was so impressed with this cute little apple orchard/farm stand and will definitely make this a yearly tradition in the future! 1. The apple picking is more affordable than other orchards. Usually each member of the party needs to purchase their own apple bag, which can get very expensive. At Keller's, they offer 1/4 peck bags (approx 7 apples) for $9 a person, which was the perfect amount of apples/pricing for our group. I do have to say, that on the Sunday we went at the beginning of October, a lot of the good apples left were higher up on the trees, which made it slightly more difficult to pick them as a shorter person, but I still left with a good bag full. 2. The fresh apple cider donuts and cold apple cider were DELICIOUS! Honestly might have been the best cider donuts I've ever had in my life! 3. Other food options are available, most people ordered from the hot dog stand on site, which sold affordably priced hot dogs ($4), lays chips, and soda pop. 4. There is a play area primarily for children with a corn maze and other play structures, which you can access for an extra $14 per person. I liked how this was a separate area so that the adults could choose whether they wanted to pay extra for access to this part of the farm. 5. They have a cute pumpkin farm which is open to the general public, with several different areas for photo ops, including a scarecrow with a pumpkin head, etc. 6. Yes, yes, yes! So for starts, we came on the last day, very cold, and nearly 50 cars in the parking lot. We paid $25 for two adults and our 2 yo was free. Low cost compared to other locations. Things I loved: free roaming animals. Free roaming EVERYTHING. There's multiple different climbing areas perfect for toddlers. A balance beam area, bike area, corn maze.... Our two year old loved it. And we also loved that it wasn't mega crowded! The Apple cider donuts also were perf! Things I didn't like but also could live with: no petting zoo area. (Yes yes I said I loved the free roaming animals). I just personally would have loved the availability to purchase snacks for the horses/goats :) All in all we will be back next year! read more

What a bundle of fun! For $11, you get access to a corn maze, bundles of hay, a pumpkin patch, a hay ride, and a bunch of kids activities. Very good bang for your buck, and complete with a general store for you to pick up apple cider donuts, farmhouse goodies, and other fall themed foods. The staff was friendly and everyone seemed to be in great spirits! They also have a big apple orchard where you can pick apples for an additional charge but we didn't have time. I think kids under 4 come for free so it's great for families. And there's a food stand with pretzels, hot dogs, and other snacks. We had a blast and look forward to coming back! We came here as they partnered with our child's school PTA to give back a percentage to the school (great cause!). We loved all the areas for the kids to run around. My child thought that the themed playgrounds were so much fun - especially liked the boat one and trying to escape the "sea monsters" (myself and my husband lol). The animals were also fun to see! We loved the corn maze, although without a map it did take a while to get out of.. but thats part of the fun (to be fair we didnt realize that there were maps). The orchard was well stocked when we visited in early September left with honey crisps, fujis and I cannot recall the green apples I got but they made a delish galette. Competitively priced on apples and donuts. The staff was very friendly, the free hayride was how we started our trip and my daughter enjoyed it. My daughters favorite part of the day was when we let her loose in the kid area. She had so much fun on all the play equipment, while the petting area for animals was closed due to animals being at the fair we did get to see some horses and pony. We also really enjoyed picking our own apples. Overall I highly recommend making the trip here. read more

We got to enjoy Keller's during pumpkin season. This was our only outside outing during covid so it was refreshing to have this facility taking the proper safety precautions. Everyone wore masks and kept their distance. They had lots of pumpkins to choose from. We ended up getting a large orange one and a small white one for a good price. We enjoyed a FROZEN apple cider (yes frozen- first time I've enjoyed this) while we walked around and apple cider doughnuts. They were so yummy, I could eat an entire dozen! They had a cute little open concept store and we purchased a cherry salsa and a peach jam. We can not WAIT to buy these two jared wonders again next year. We came to this place last Sunday as a group of four adults wanting some fun photo ops and mildly cheesy fall activities (give me a hayride!) on a GORGEOUS day in mid-October. Sadly, everyone else in a 20 mile radius had the same idea - and we also learned they were running a Groupon once we got there, too. So while we got in for insanely cheap (I think 4 people were $15!) the crowds were tough. However, the place is spacious, well-managed, and even though some people be crazy once that fall air hits, it worked out just fine. We got our fun photo ops, we got to choose pumpkins, we got to see animals that looked like they were being treated well (and definitely had lots of choice in whether or not they interacted with people, which I liked). They had the classic apple cider and donuts, and the parking situation was actually quite livable. I always find myself comparing every pumpkin patch to Bengston's - I cant help it. They do such a good job - and Keller's def has less to do. But it also has a more farm and less commercial feel which has its place, too. I would definitely come back for more fall fun. read more

Came here a year ago during the week and not everything was open for my son. This time we came on a weekend which was bittersweet because everything was open...BUT omg was it busy. The lines for everything were crazy ridiculously long, grrr!!! The hay ride was nice but they over pack each ride so there is no actual space to turn and look around as you ride. Apple picking was fun but bogus every person that enters has to buy a bag, even if they aren't actually picking apples themselves. The kids play areas were cute just super busy with unsupervised children which I know isn't yalls fault. We didn't get a chance to shop in the farmers market cause we weren't going to wait in the line just to get in. Overall, a cute farm/apple picking/pumpkin picking place. read more

First off, this farm is wonderfully organized by kind and very helpful, smiling people. As a Grandma who needed help carrying all of the apples that my young grandson and his friend picked, it took just a moment for lovely Lilly to call John, the orchard manager. John arrived in moments in his golf cart and drove us right to my car - putting the apples right inside for us! He would not even take a tip! So kind. The wide variety of apples were easily marked and sooo delicious. Afterward we had our choice of lunch options - again well organized and very clean environment. Then we went to the corn maze, which was awesome for all ages! Then there were farm animals to pet and a huge play area. I have been to many apple farms. This one gets my vote hands down for all of these reasons and because it is a comfy and simple farm plus just enough "entertainment" without going over the top - like some. This was our family's first time Apple-picking, and we had a wonderful experience at Keller's Farmstand. We took our three kids (age 7, 3, and 2.5 weeks). The farm had many events that were included with admission, including a huge corn maze, smaller hay maze and rope maze for children, kids park, petting zoo, and wagon ride tour of the farm. The Apple cider donuts were fresh and delicious. As far as Apple picking itself, each person 4 and up is required to purchase a bag for picking. There were 4 varieties of apples for picking when we went. The farm is family owned with plenty of staff available to guide you. It is very large but not overwhelming. Our family spent 4 hours there, and probably could've spent more if we had the time. Overall a great experience! read more

Just got back from a trip to Keller's and we had A BLAST. I'm going to have dreams about their hot apple cider donuts. Though it's late in the season the apple trees were not super picked over and they had 4 varieties to pick off the tree. This place would be SO FUN for kids! They have a mini car track with a bunch of mini cars for the kids to race in. There were lots of little playground areas (a boat and a castle), a petting farm, and a corn maze with 3 different paths to take. We will definitely be making this a yearly tradition! read more

Have been a customer for years - have been to the fall festival many times - always pick our pumpkins here. Was excited a while back when they added u-pick apples. Just brought the wife and our two daughters for apple picking and was told that each adult in the orchard has to purchase a bag because they've "had problems before" in the orchard. While I can imagine that there may have been some problems, this sounds like a policy intended to punish everyone for the actions of a few "bad apples" - or an attempted money grab - neither of which we appreciate. The only reasons I do u-pick is for the experience with my girls and to support local growers. I'm willing to pay the inflated prices for this. But not to be subject to a bunch of silly rules. If you have problems with guests, get someone to monitor the orchard. While this policy is enforced, I will do my u-pick at Jonamac. I've also been going there for years and they've managed to do fine without demanding you purchase twice the amount of overpriced apples just so you can share the experience with the whole family. My husband and I recently moved to the area and were pleasantly surprised to find out a pumpkin patch and orchard was only 5mins away from our new home. We went this morning for the first time and had a blast! The employees were so friendly through out the farm (from concessions to the bakery to the farm hands to the pumpkin cashier to the parking assistants... literally everyone) and the activities Keller's offers is above and beyond! The best part... the apple cider doughnuts are super moist and delicious. We will 100% be going back and be bringing our nieces and nephews for them to enjoy the many family activities. We have been coming here for 9 years! (Family tradition) corn maze is great. (Some years corn stalks are high and beautiful others corn stalks are short and dead) but non the less fun for the whole family!! Every year they have a different theme they create. It's neat and different. Every year it seems they have added a new attraction which is awesome since there seems to be more and more kids. I wish they have some attractions for the older kids but I think that's what the maze is for. They have a picnic area with gazebo to cover harsh weather Food stand (variety) Store (apple cider, goodies) Pumpkins Small petting zoo And best of all APPLE CIDER DONUTS!! I took my kids here on a week day to play and possibly pick pumpkins . When we arrived there weren't very many people there and we were advised the entire farm was closed , except for apple picking and pumpkin picking, and no tractor pull. I thought they'd have at least that. So we opted for apple picking. I will say, it was almost therapeutic. A great time was had by all. The kids wanted to go into their little shop and get a couple of items. The young lady there was very helpful and was very knowledgeable on all of their products. We left with a few goodies and the kids enjoyed themselves. We will be back again to apple pick. I'm only giving 3 stars due to the lack of things to do. read more

Went here on Columbus Day. We did the corn maze, played in the play area, fed some animals, got to pet a horse, went apple picking, went pumpkin picking, and picked up some apple cider donuts. We spent a good 4hrs here. Although Keller's seems small, there was a lot of cool stuff to do. Definitely worth a visit. The actual pumpkin patch is sort of far from the other activities if you have kids like mine that are very easily distracted. But there is a "pumpkin graveyard" with pre-picked pumpkins. My only complaint was that I was unable to find and bumpy or white pumpkins to ad to my annual fall set up that eventually the squirrels and neighborhood kids destroy. Oh well, I'm still planning on going again next year. read more

We really enjoyed our visit to Kellers Farmstand. We've been looking for a place like this. We've recently moved to the area from Michigan, which is essentially a state filled to the brim with little apple farms that make their own cider and doughnuts and have corn mazes. Last year, we went to Bodington's, and it was a huge mess. It felt like the entire city of Chicago crammed themselves into a super cheesy, way too expensive carnival. The entire day was very unpleasant because you had to really fight the crowds to get anywhere and wait in a ton of lines full of pushy people. Kellers is more our speed. It's definitely lower tech than Bodington's, but you pay one admission fee for all of the activities (other than apple picking) and there aren't really lines for anything. We still got there early to beat the crowds because it was a gorgeous day. The corn maze is broken up into sections based on difficulty. We did three of the four sections. Our group included a 4 year old, who got really into it at first, but then got tired. The easy section was just her speed. The market its self was a little underwhelming. They didn't make any of the stuff they were selling, but I guess that's not really a big deal. (The cider was from Michigan.) We LOVED the doughnuts. If I had kids, I would take them to Kellers instead of Bodington's. I don't have kids, but the level of stress I felt at Bodington's was so high, and I can't imagine having to keep track of a little one in the middle of all of that. Kellers is slower-paced, but yet still a ton of fun. read more
