I'm out of state on vacation with my kids. My tires didn't feel right on my car. I stopped in to see if it was still safe to drive. The shop was super busy, but they were able to squeeze me in to check out my car. It ended up being tar and rocks built up on my tire. The staff was super friendly. They scraped off what they could and said the rest would wear off. So thankful for their kindness since I was 8 hours away from home. I would highly recommend Kelley Brothers. read more

Got to give props to these guys. Up from SC busted a tire when we slid off a snow covered road. Patched, good as new in 40 minutes. The staff was pleasant to deal with and they realized the situation I was in 4 hours from home. Inexpensive repair as well. Thanks guys! read more

My son is attending App state and had some car trouble ... trust worthy mechanics are hard to come by these days by the way ... thank you so much for taking care of his problems with his Camry and for being so helpful and not scamming this young man ! I have only come to Kelley brothers for a tire patch and an oil change but each time they were SO nice which you don't find at very many auto shops. They are also reasonable and I feel like I can trust them to do honest work! I plan to continue on using them in the future for all my auto needs! read more

Owner berated me when I tried to enter the office at 5:01pm to retrieve key to my daughter's car. He told me belligerently that the shop was closed. I had called ahead to make sure I could pick up key at office or have it left in car. I was told an employee(owner's son) would be on site till 5:30pm and either option would not be a problem. The bill was paid in full and I merely needed the key. Older man/owner told me a second time that the shop was closed even after I explained I had called not five minutes prior and arranged to get the key. I ask if I should come back the next day? I was told he didn't care what I did. I replied curtly, that I would be happy to take my business to Alray Tire or Custom Muffler. I complained about the rude, belligerent exchange with the older/owner. The employee/owner's son brushed off the exchange stating, "just ignore him, he is a grumpy old man". Another customer waiting on his car in the office (even though they were supposedly closed) described a similar interaction with the bonus of receiving an "f" bomb from the older man. To recap: paid $850 in full for set of tires prior to installation, called to clarify key pickup, received a tirade from a "grumpy old man". Unacceptable/unprofessional and unnecessary. Will not patronize again. read more

Just went in to have a tire repaired. As I was walking in an employee walked by me out of the building without saying a word to me. I went to the counter someone else walked by me into the service area without saying a word. Then someone else walked behind the counter, I say hello. He looked up at me without a response and looked at his phone. I stood there for about three minutes without any acknowledgment. I finally walked out with no one ever asking me how they may help me. Terrible!!! Terrible!!! Service and just RUDE. read more

Love, love, LOVE this shop. I cannot say enough good things about Kelley Brothers. They are always extremely nice and accommodating and Brad and his team do whatever they possibly can to help out whoever walks through their door. They stay pretty busy, but they do an excellent job of prioritizing customer needs and squeezing in as many people as they can. They have always been very open and upfront with me and I never feel like I am being tricked or taken advantage of. They will work with you and will not talk you into things you don't need, which is so refreshing. I would highly recommend this shop! read more

Just one of those "yuck" auto shop experiences where you feel like you're getting taken for a ride around the block. I contacted a bunch of places in Boone asking if they could fix a taillight and also do a general safety check on an ooooooold trailer. The lady on the phone seemed to be on my wavelength: "So you want a mom check? Like, would your mom be satisfied that you're driving it". "YES, exactly!" Fast forward to getting the work done: they fixed the light... but charged me over $300 for it, when two separate friends who work on cars had told me it should cost around $100 tops. The lady at the desk just said it had been a "hard job". When asked how much they charge per hour for labor, she checked in the back with the mechanics: $75/hour. That would suggest it took them almost 4 hours to fix one taillight. I also reminded her that I had asked for a safety check, and she went to the garage again to come back with this reassuring and detailed report: "They say it's a solid trailer." So, is it possible that they logged 3 hours and 45 minutes on the clock to fix my light, fair and square? Sure. But it felt sketchy how I had to dig for an explanation, and how the mechanic (Brad) didn't answer either question to my face, even though he'd been hanging around in the office the first time I came. I chose the place specifically because it seemed like they would hook up the safety check and give me the time of day... but I just feel super ripped off and wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am-ed. Two stars, not one, cus they technically did the job and it works - but I'm not going back. read more

Excuses my french, but the owner of this shop is a total asshole. I had called the day before bringing my car in and was told it was fine to have it towed there. Well, the next morning I received a call from the tow truck driver, saying the owner had come and cussed him out, telling him to get my car "the f**k off his property". I then called the shop, explaining I had called ahead, and he laughed at me and told me to pick up my damn car, and that it wasn't his problem. I should have known not to use them when the first time I brought it there, I asked them just to look at it and let me know before doing anything, but they went ahead and fixed the problem without my permission, and charged me an outrageous amount for the work done. I will NEVER be returning, and if you use them, good luck. read more
