When I spoke with Joy Buskirk to arrange for the service call, she was so personable it was really more like talking to a family friend. They responded to my inquiry promptly and courteously. After digging in the area where we suspected the leak, he was unable to find it and referred us to another company with special equipment for underground leak detection because he didn't want to keep digging and waste our money. We hired Joe once before to replace the moorings on our downstairs toilet. In accordance with the folksy aphorism "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," he told us there was nothing really wrong with the toilet and waived the fee for the service call. Not only are they friendly and local, they are HONEST. I was so impressed with their integrity and professionalism that I created this account just so I could leave them a five-star review. Buskirk Plumbing comes with my highest recommendation and will always be my first choice to resolve any future plumbing issues.

The walls were stipped to the studs, and there is a full unfinished basement, so it was easy access. Still, i paid him over $9200.00. He did very good mostly, until I asked him to correct the placement of a dishwasher outlet. For a fee he would. I already paid someone else to move the outlets for the range and the microwave, but thought he should do this one with no added cost. Placement of appliance outlets is something any electrician should know...I looked it up and they are all the same. Also, this guy also asks you to give him a tip a on every invoice. I find this very insulting to low income waiters, hairdressers, and others who are traditionally tipped. I also dad to clean up after him. Now I'm wondering if he did everything else okay or if my house is going to burn down. Just read the response. I paid the tile guy about $8000 for a tub sized shower. There are places where the grout is missing, lots of tiles are NOT flush, a hole was put in the aluminum trim, the front of the shower is about an inch out of square, the light fixture in the shower was not fully installed, and there are some chipped tiles. No..not happy, but I paid him. I belive a customer has the right to expect a good job, and the tile was not. Rhododendren Electric did a good job, but their follow through is bad. And he will do everything possible to avert a negative review, which mine is not...just middle of the road. Just downgraded due to his false and slanderous response. Really, he's an okay electrician, but he seems much more concerned about his yelp review than he does about satisfying his customers. And, his response was reprehensible.

Now we have a pop up sidewalk, which among other things, is a serious safety hazard. Long story short...they do not stand by their work at all. We filed a complaint with WV Better Business Bureau with photos; Bowsers refused to acknowledge it. We paid $13000 for the porch and they want another $5000 to fix their mistake. He brought my mother into it, accused me of slander, denied that I had ever even called them, and not only refused to fix the problem but refused to even list what they had done stating that they won't do that for anyone so that they can charge another visit to undo what they did. I simply attached photos of all the messes he denied making and screenshots of my call log and phone bill proving I had called them. I never heard another word.
