As a registered professional nurse and Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD), Dr. Douleh understands the importance of establishing and building trusting relationships with his clients. Dr. Douleh is professional, a good listener, an expert at his craft and is confident in his abilities. Ms. Patricia was the dental assistant who helped Dr. Douleh today with my services. She told me the first dentist had broken a tool off in my tooth and I had nothing to worry about because she could fix it. With a glimmer of hope I gripped the arms of the dental chair and closed my eyes hoping for the best. She took the time to massage my gums and heat-up the needle before expertly numbing my mouth. The other 3 dentist would just jab around until they hit bone several time. She knew exactly where to inject and even vibrated the needle to lessen any discomfort. Her needle work is OUTSTANDING! The heavy set assistant put the bib around me, asked if I wanted to watch tv, I said no, she left. About 12:15 I sat up in the seat to see if I could get someone's attention, to ask when I would be seen. The assistant came into the room and said, the doctor is with another patient she will be in shortly. I asked her, is this new, for patients to wait almost an hour before they are seen? She said, Dr. Marshall is on vacation so the other dentist is taking his patients. As we were speaking the Dentist walked into the room and said, what's the problem? I said, I've been waiting almost an hour. She said, no your appointment was at, before she could get it out I said, 1130 . She said, so you've been waiting about 30 minutes, it's 1210 I said no, it's actually 1220. She nonchalantly shrugged her shoulders and said, emergencies happen. The way she looked at me was as if to say, oh well, wait til I'm done. I began to fix my purse strap, she said, are you leaving ? I said yes because you're being very rude and inconsiderate. She said, nonchalantly, ok and walked to the front desk to tell the receptionist, i wasn't being seen because i didn't want to wait. I told her, no, I'm leaving because the dentist was being extremely rude to me. I left in shock! I couldn't believe she was as rude and inconsiderate as she was. It was as if she was doing me a favor or as if i was late and she had to wait on me. I waited almost an hour to be seen, not one time did anyone apologize for my wait or show any consideration for my time. I had to find a baby sitter for my three month old baby for this appointment just for the dentist to be extremely rude to me and waste my time. I would never give my business to this practice as long as she's there! I have referred so many people to this practice from SWA, including a few family members, but I will be sure to tell them about the experience I had today so they can find a new place to go as well. Dr Marshall didn't seem to be as rude and ignorant as the female dentist that works there. I hope you clean house because she will be the cause of you losing a lot of patients. And by the way, while I was there some of the workers were talking about another worker leaving the practice ( I believe) and said, this place is going to go to shit when you leave and I was actually getting paid on time with you here. My son has a rare genetic dental issue, and Dr. Laura took it upon herself to do a ton of research and training on his diagnosis in order to help him. During the appointment, she briefly pointed to something on my X-rays but never clearly explained what she saw, what the diagnosis was, or what treatment she was recommending. She began numbing my mouth and proceeded with significant drilling without first walking me through the procedure. When she finished, I had to ask, "Did you fill a cavity?" She simply answered, "Yeah," and continued talking about unrelated things. I left the appointment without a clear understanding of what had been found or exactly what had been done. Once the numbness wore off, the tooth felt rough and uneven, with something hanging from the bottom that I could feel with my tongue. I returned to my regular dentist. He smoothed and corrected the area. He told me that he had not seen a cavity on his recent X-rays, although he acknowledged that it was possible she found something that had not been visible before. He also told me the new pain could have resulted from the drilling and that I might eventually need a root canal if it did not resolve. It has now been 6months, and the tooth is still bothering me. I had never experienced pain in that tooth before this appointment. The dentist also recommended crowns for all of my teeth and submitted an estimate to my insurance, which later appeared on my Explanation of Benefits. I was never given a clear explanation for why such extensive treatment was necessary, especially since I had no pain, visible damage, loose teeth, or other known problems. I cannot speak to her motives, but I can speak to my experience. I did not feel properly informed, I did not feel included in decisions about my treatment, and I am still dealing with pain that began after the procedure. I do not recommend this dentist.

I've been scared to death of dentists for the better part of my life. As a kid I had a dentist…read morestick his knee in my chest while trying to extract a tooth while proclaiming 'what, are you gonna cry now?' As he was clearly frustrated with his inability to pull it. Later, I had a dentist proclaim I had 14 cavities when I did not. (Still haven't had one) With that, I was beyond apprehensive going in for a visit suggested by and booked by my significant other. The staff was beyond welcoming. The hygienist that took care of me knew of my past issues and was amazing. Even Dr K went above and beyond taking time to sit down and show that I did not in fact have any cavities after my appointment. I'll be going back for the foreseeable future. My one complaint: I may be 40 but I didn't leave with a toy.

An office that was told 3 times prior to her appointment that Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas) was needed. It was not provided and they much later claimed they "never" provide Nitrous Oxide on first visit and she never requested it. The dentist and hygienist also tried to talk her out of her anxiety, which is about the dumbest part of this situation and shows the practice is more concerned staying on schedule than accommodating nervous patients. Her cleaning was rescheduled. My wife took a day off work. At 7:30 am the morning of the appointment, they canceled it. Apparently only one person is certified to use Nitrous Oxide. Sadly, I recommended this practice to my wife. I have left it as well, because they do not respect their patients needs. Another practice has managed to meet her needs.
