Alex and Ervin immediately stood out. They were very familiar with Kelly-Moore paints and, without hesitation, were able to identify the color and sheen of the drywall sample I brought in. That level of knowledge alone gave me confidence I was in the right place. Ervin took it a step further by asking about the areas of my home being painted and recommending the appropriate paint grade based on traffic and environment. He broke down the differences in a way that was easy to understand without feeling overwhelming. Super helpful and clearly knows his stuff. Turnaround was quick -- I got a call the very next day that my paints were ready, and that included five different color matches. That's impressive. At pickup, pricing was exactly what you'd expect for quality paint, no surprises there. What I did appreciate was Ervin offering to load the paint into my car -- small gesture, but it goes a long way. Knowledgeable staff, efficient service, and quality product. Gio was so kind and helped me find the exact part I needed. He even carried the basket for me while I was holding my infant. This was my infant Son's first trip to the hardware store and Gio was telling him about the parts we need to fix the hose. We got the correct paint, wrenches, spigot and plumbers tape. Great experience! Thank you Gio for being so helpful and considerate to help a working dad get the stuff we needed. They even have HOTWHEELS and I picked out two so we can race cars when we get home. Recently, I was looking for baby chicks and the Vallejo store told me to try the Suisun or Dixon locations. When I called the Suisun store, the employee who answered the phone said his name was Kevin. When he picked up, it sounded like he was talking and laughing with someone else and wasn't paying attention. I asked what types of baby chicks they had available, but he responded by asking, "What? How many chicks do we have? We have enough," in a rude tone. I repeated my question, but he still misunderstood and seemed irritated instead of trying to help. What made the interaction worse was that after he repeatedly misunderstood my question, he became argumentative instead of trying to help. When I explained that I was asking what types of chicks were available, not how many, he responded with, "You literally just said that, brudder," in a sarcastic and confrontational tone. The whole interaction felt unnecessary and unprofessional, especially since I was just calling with a simple question. I've never had an experience like this at the Vallejo location, where employees are always helpful and respectful. I hope management can address this because customer service at the Suisun store was disappointing. I still like Tractor Supply and will continue shopping there, but this was by far the worst interaction I've had with one of their employees.
