Big fans of their products so we always come here for our home projects. There's no dedicated parking lot, but the street parking is rarely full. The staff are always kind and helpful since we usually have questions as we tackle each new project. There have been times when the store is not open during their normal hours - they've lost power a few times and other times, we couldn't figure out why. So depending on the urgency of your needs, you may want to call ahead to confirm that they're open before making the trip. read more

GREAT customer service was provided to my Mom and I! Josh Ann was super helpful! She helped us find colors and explained to us the different available types for different rooms. Most importantly, she took the time to write down the different prices so we could see it. I have never been to Sherwin-Williams. They are not fancy, but the have great service and they're super helpful and they care about your budget!!! The don't try to sell you the most expensive paint and supplies. I did want the "Emerald" series because I've heard of the soft and silken texture. I wasn't sure about the color so I ordered the large 8x8 Color swatches. I found a color, but once I got to the store I found a color I liked better, no problem! I gave them the room dimensions and they felt a gallon would be fine! No "You need more" just "if you run out just come back" " we got you" . That was cool! I did need more, but they were just as nice. You got a new customer!!! read more

The staff seem very unknowledgeable and their ability to color match is NOT good. If you're going with a Sherwin-Williams color swatch then perhaps you're safe, but if you're trying to color match to another brand's color swatch, it won't even be close. I have unsuccessfully tried getting a color match to Benjamin Moore swatches several times and have regretted it every time. I even tried getting a duplicate gallon of something I got from Sherwin Williams a week previous (I brought in the original gallon so they could match it exactly) and they didn't match at all. And once when I called to see if I could rectify the situation (get my money back to get it re-done) they said there was nothing they could do. read more

Worst customer service.... I am getting my house painted and I had picked colors from Lowes, the painter I choose said he only uses Sherwin-Williams and asked that I go in here and get it color matched then do a sample paint on my house to make sure I'm happy with it. Seems super easy. I went in on Sunday and there was a woman working. I brought with me the lowes paint chip and a painted sample. She couldn't figure out how to match the paint at all and was just taking sample chips from the wall and trying to eye match it. Total waste of time cause nothing came anywhere close. I went back in today, walked in and there was no one around. Finally someone came from the back and told me it would "be a couple hours" before they could help me. Are you serious? A couple HOURS to try and help me? Total waste of time. I called the Pinole Sherwin Williams and they are SENDING someone to my house to get the paint sample and match it. read more

I went in the store to try and match a paint color that was already on the wall in the apartment where I live. I stood at the counter for almost 5 minutes before someone came out, despite the fact that two people looked right at me and continued to ignore me. Seems they were more interested in the female employee and the story she was telling. I will never go back as long as Home Depot and Lowe's is around. Whoever owns this store should educate their personnel on the basics of customer service. read more

I needed to touch up the paint in my bathroom, but the paint I used is no longer made. I took the old can to Sherwin Williams and the guy working there today made the EXACT SAME COLOR for me! It was absolutely perfect and he was polite and really helpful. I don't know why other businesses in Vallejo can't be run the way this paint store is run. I've been there many times and have no complaints (which is not always the case with businesses in Vallejo). I really appreciate what this young man did for me today and I hope the managers are reading this post (12/11/2021). read more

Great experience at this location. We've been testing out paint colors for months trying to find that perfect color for our main living area just with samples from the big home improvements stores. Instantly when we walked in we were offered help and recieved really helpful advice from the experts here and finally landed on a color that WE LOVE. Updating the interior look of an older home. I first called the store and lucked out by getting James, the manager, on the phone. He spent a lot of time listening to me, understanding the momentous task I was about to undertake. Never once did he make me feel the "noob" I was. He assured me that I could do it. When I came into the store, James assisted me on getting the needed products to do the job. As with most home projects, one room expanded into many rooms. Kudos to the manager of Sherwin-Williams Co. in Vallejo. I was grossly mislead by an amateur painter who estimated so much more paint that necessary for my 1500 sq ft home. I met him at the store and he proceeded to pick out equipment, material, and order paint that he estimated to be about $700. After sales were totaled to more than $1200, including his discount, I fired him. I hired a licensed painting contractor and when the job was done, there was $266 worth of unused material that could be returned. After hearing my story, the manager made a concession for me and refunded this amount. Although I still have gallons of unused paint, I am so grateful to the manager for the refund. This was my first visit to this store. I had my home painted by a contractor five years ago and wanted to match the paint that had been purchased from Sherman Williams. The code numbers on my old cans were not readable . John and Chris were able to locate the purchase order and spent a great deal of time helping me. Great job Chris and John great service! read more

My last visit was so awful, it made me consider never returning. Previously I loved this store. for years On my last visit there were many store personnel standing around doing nothing. When the man rang up my order, the price on the tool was 3 times what the sign said. When I asked about it, the service people said that the tools had the wrong price posted. I did not see them correct the problem. IOasked to see the tool that was sale price and it took a lot of fumbling around on their part to find the "on sale" tool. They had more tools hanging under the sale price in another section of the store. More tools that were not on sale I was completely disappointed with my experience. Previous to my last visit I was super happy with the paint, the tools and the service. This last time made me wonder if I should ever go back. but I will probably have to as I need some matching paint andthat is where I got the opriginal paint. read more
