(From lighter yellow to a darker yellow) The employee said he couldn't do anything with the color then grabbed our 5 gallon and pushed it to the back of the store, which made us think we could exchange it for something. Then he matched a brand new gallon of paint with the requested color. Not until we were asked whether we still wanted to keep the original 5 gallon of paint did we realize that they couldn't be returned or credited. As costumers, we should have asked whether it can be returned up front. But the "grabbing away without telling us the return policy" behavior was really confusing. We ended up buying the rest of the paint for our house project from a different retailer in town. Just for people's future reference, other stores at least offer to try to make your unsatisfied paint brighter or darker.

Alex and Ervin immediately stood out. They were very familiar with Kelly-Moore paints and, without hesitation, were able to identify the color and sheen of the drywall sample I brought in. Ervin took it a step further by asking about the areas of my home being painted and recommending the appropriate paint grade based on traffic and environment. He broke down the differences in a way that was easy to understand without feeling overwhelming. Super helpful and clearly knows his stuff. Granted I was buying a super heavy Blackstone and couldn't have lifted it by myself even if I had had to! My family and I of course found several other things to buy as well while we were there. The prices are comparable or lower to anywhere else . This time, I purchased a bunch of birds including baby ducks as usual, but when I got home, I realized that one of the ducks was crippled. It's got a twisted, malformed leg and it's limping. You would have thought "then go return it and get a new one, or go get your money back" I thought the same, in fact I did. You know what they said? Sorry we can't take responsibility for that. If you pay full price for something, you expect the best quality. If you buy a defective product of any kind, it would only make sense that they would refund you and take it back, or at least replace the product to a non-defective one. They did none of that. "Sorry, we don't take them back". I didn't pay full price to be stuck with your defective inventory. It's crazy how 100 good experiences can all collapse to the ground with a single bad experience. All of a sudden, the store doesn't leave a good impression in me. I don't just buy animals for the heck of having them. I also breed them, and good genes are key.
